I brought in a $5000 EVH Eddie Van Halen edition signature series, black Floyd Rose fender guitar the guy looks it up and he's mistaking it for the $300 guitar and tells me he's not interested. I tried showing him pictures and that they're selling for 4000 on reverb he didn't get it. He just didn't get it. He didn't see the difference between the 300 and the 5000 for some reason maybe it was close to clocking out I don't know They need to know the difference between the $300 fender and the $5000 fenders just saying. It would've been great for your inventory. But the guy passed on it thinking it was something else and you guys lost good money. I was gonna part with it for 30% of resale value. These guitars sell quick if you have the time to hold it like pawnshop does I didn't but I left 70% on the table for you guys and the guy passed not knowing anything it's sad to see. Your guys need more than a PhD in Google search and when eBay hasn't sold one because they're very rare it doesn't mean it's valueless. It means it's rare and valuable. Guys are eBay knowledge at best hunters and if eBay doesn't educate them or if they don't see it on eBay they know NOTHING its sad. Anyways, if you have valuable high-end musical equipment, do not come to this pawnshop trust me you're gonna watch a guy stared at a eBay screen and if it's valuable enough that ebay hasn't sold One the guy is gonna draw blank and look at you like a deer in the headlights don't come here

I would not return to this pawn shop to buy or sell anything…read more My biggest issue was with the manager, Stephanie. She wasn't outright rude, but the way she spoke to me felt dismissive and condescending, almost as if I didn't know the value of my own items. What bothered me even more was that some of the values she quoted were nowhere close to what I was finding in the actual market. I brought in a brand-new pair of Puma shoes still in the box. Stephanie told me similar shoes could be bought online for around $15-$20. The comparable prices I found were significantly higher, with the lowest recent sale I found around $90. The experience that really did it for me was a 1 oz .999 fine silver Buffalo round. Silver was around $65 an ounce that day, and one of the employees initially told me they could give me $65 for it because of the piece and its collectibility. He went to Stephanie for approval, and she came back with an offer of $20. Twenty dollars for a full ounce of .999 silver when silver itself was trading around $65 felt insulting. I declined the offer, drove to another shop about 15 minutes later, and sold the exact same silver round for $60. I understand that pawn shops have to make a profit and cannot pay full retail value. I absolutely expect that. But there is a major difference between leaving room for profit and making an offer that is so far below the value of an item that the customer feels taken advantage of. Based on my experience, I don't trust the valuations being given here, and I'll take my business elsewhere in the future. Management may want to reconsider how items are valued and how customers are spoken to, because this experience cost them a customer.

It's difficult for a man to stand corrected, but just yesterday I was. A couple of days ago I wrote a review about this place that discredited the owner Howard and his practices. I truly can't tell you how wrong i was. I never gave the gentlemen a chance to explain himself and for that I apologize. After visiting the store the first time I felt I was being dealt with unfairly, so I left upset and wrote a not so great review. After thinking it over for a day I called the store and spoke with Ashley who was very kind and professional and asked to come in. When I did I was welcomed in as if my family owned the place. I explained the situation that happened a day prior and she assured me that they will make things right. Unknown to me the owner Howard was there and helping another customer and once done with them he came over and introduced himself like a true gentlemen. He himself assured me that the matter would be taken care of along with a special bonus. Believe me when I say that with him coming over and introducing himself and apologizing for the prior outcome was enough, but for him it wasn't. He went way above and beyond on assisting me and I truly want to say THANK YOU!!! You are a gentlemen beyond belief. I haven't seen this kind of customer service in a very long time. It is no wonder why everyone who has written a review has given him 5 stars for his honest dealings and his exceptional service whether it's rendered by him or his employee Ashley who is a complete sweetheart. Once again Howard and Ashley Thank You very much for your great and exceptional service. To anyone reading this you truly would be foolish to deal with any other company but this one if you want honesty and great customer care. read more

I went into Arizona Gold Exchange not knowing much about what I was getting into. I wanted to appraise a gold necklace I'd had for a while, but I had no clue about what a good price was (I don't know much about how gold rates work). When I walked inside, I was immediately amused by the eclectic memorabilia and collectables hanging from the walls. The store was clean, organized (unlike most pawn shops in phoenix), and the staff was very friendly. The best part was that when I expressed an interest in understanding how the appraisal process worked, the manager himself took time out of his day to show me exactly how they gauge a piece coming into their stores. He set up a chemical test, and then explained, mathematically, why he was offering me the price that he did. If you want to sell or trade, or even get your gold appraised, definitely go here. The professionals at AZ Gold Exchange will break it all down so you know you're getting the best rates. Plus they have arcade machines. read more

There's definitely a picture that comes to the mind when you think of pawn shops, so when I was in need of some quick cash for an unexpected event, I wasn't exactly excited. I had never even gone into a "pawn shop" before or knew what my options were and was apprehensive about how I would be treated. I worried for nothing! First off, the store is very nice. It's clean and modern, far from what you'd expect. Second (and most importantly), the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and treated me with the utmost respect while being patient when explaining the process. There was no pressure on what choice (if any!) I was going to make. If I ever find myself in the situation again, I know I will come back to Bancless for the same experience. read more

I had a great experience here at Bancless will recommend to everyone. Their friendly staff makes you feel welcome and they are very clean with a modern touch to them. Great selection on their bullion and good interest rates if looking for a loan. They give you fair price if selling gold and they work with you. This is the ONLY pawn shop that I will do business with. I have been bringing them my business since they first opened.
