Trader's isn't we here I do all my shopping, but when I'm looking for cheese, crackers and charcuterie items, this is where I go. I also love their affordable bagged salads, sugar snap peas, Persian cucumbers, small curd cottage cheese, and eggs - all affordable weekly purchases. Can always find decent wine at affordable prices, too. When they are offering tastings, I always give them a try and discover something new. And of course the 99 cent greeting cards are a steal! Plus the fresh flowers and plant section not to be missed. currently they have bromeliads which have one single bright orange, red or yellow bloom that lasts for months. I have about a half dozen! Love the enthusiasm! In West Linn we've been campaigning for our own TJs for years, so there was much anticipation about this new store creeping ever closer to our 'burb. It opened with much fanfare in early December and I enjoyed my first trip here. Parking is easy (much less crowded than my regular stores in LO and 82nd Avenue locations). This location is also more spacious than the other two, with large, well-lit aisles and bustling associates so everything was well stocked. Easy access to the store which is located on McLoughlin Blvd. and close to other big box stores (Walmart Grocery) to complete your shopping list. My only request is that they add a striped crosswalk by the entrance (similar to Walmart) to aid pedestrians.

When I took this up to customer service to trade it for another lemon "Thomas" couldn't have behaved more bothered to have to assist me and needed to see my ID and wanted to receipt... For one lemon. Not out of the norm for this guy, as he always seems to have quite the attitude. Also having one checker, checking people out is ridiculous and you have to bag your own groceries. I am disabled, so this is incredibly difficult for me and I always have to do the self check out because the lines at the one working check stand are unbearably long. I came here to get some drinks, fruit and dog treats, and ended up leaving with those and some Oregon wines. Very cool that they have so many Oregon products here, given its close proximity. Prices are very reasonable. There's plenty of parking. And I found that it was open late at night and early in the morning on the weekends, and it was never busy. After almost three years and countless visits, it's time to update my review. I'm pretty sure we…read morevisited Clarkes more last year than we did any other restaurant in the local area, so that should tell you something. For part of my update, I will paraphrase my FB review -- I feel it does a nice job of highlighting what Scott & Tammy are doing well. It is always a real treat dining at Clarkes. I wish we could do it more often, but we try to only dine out once a week as a family. I am one who feels the difference is in the details, and as far as I can tell, they are nailing the details: the freshness of the veggies in the salads and on the burgers; the use of fresh leaf lettuce on a burger instead of chopped iceberg; the flavor of the perfectly cooked pizza dough (my daughter actually devours the outer edges instead of leaving them on her plate!); the marble rye on the patty melts, and the way they are able to keep them from coming off 'greasy'; perfectly cooked, juicy, burger patties; etc.; etc; etc. Since the last FB & Yelp reviews, we have also come to appreciate the hummus plate appetizer; and for a main course when I'm not so hungry, the Garden Medley provides the flavors of the hummus plate in a sandwich -- it's great paired with the Tomato Gorgonzola soup (when available). Besides the Garden Medley, my regular orders include the SW Chicken Sandwich, the Patty Melt, and my favorite: the Bacon Guac Burger (no tomato, add jalapenos). The only down side of the Bacon Guac is that it is *a mess*! I think I've only managed to keep the guac from erupting through the top of the bun once -- but it is so good! I'm trying to watch calories, so I usually get a side salad, but their fries are great, too! A few other details that add to the dining experience are the friendly atmosphere, great service, and great decor; we love the galvanized tin 'wainscoting' around the perimeter of the eatery! Delicious desserts, too -- my daughter and I are both chocoholics, and we like to share the Chocolate Fudge Cake (when we save room). We have never come away disappointed with any of our visits to Clarkes. Even on my birthday last year, the server misunderstood my order, and I got a basic cheeseburger instead of the Bacon Gauc. No problem. Austin, one of the cooks, had just finished his last order; and he whipped up a new burger for me in short order and put the wrong burger in a to-go box for me to have for lunch the next day (comped, of course).
