Daughter ordered our lunch today, I had a salad. The salad was very fresh with great flavor, was made perfect with pecans, strawberries and blue cheese. Definitely made with perfection. If you want a great salad, this is the place. I understand new owners just took over, they are to be commended for their hard work and eagerness to serve the public. After almost three years and countless visits, it's time to update my review. I'm pretty sure we visited Clarkes more last year than we did any other restaurant in the local area, so that should tell you something. For part of my update, I will paraphrase my FB review -- I feel it does a nice job of highlighting what Scott & Tammy are doing well. It is always a real treat dining at Clarkes. I wish we could do it more often, but we try to only dine out once a week as a family. I am one who feels the difference is in the details, and as far as I can tell, they are nailing the details: the freshness of the veggies in the salads and on the burgers; the use of fresh leaf lettuce on a burger instead of chopped iceberg; the flavor of the perfectly cooked pizza dough (my daughter actually devours the outer edges instead of leaving them on her plate!); the marble rye on the patty melts, and the way they are able to keep them from coming off 'greasy'; perfectly cooked, juicy, burger patties; etc.; etc; etc. Since the last FB & Yelp reviews, we have also come to appreciate the hummus plate appetizer; and for a main course when I'm not so hungry, the Garden Medley provides the flavors of the hummus plate in a sandwich -- it's great paired with the Tomato Gorgonzola soup (when available). Besides the Garden Medley, my regular orders include the SW Chicken Sandwich, the Patty Melt, and my favorite: the Bacon Guac Burger (no tomato, add jalapenos). The only down side of the Bacon Guac is that it is *a mess*! I think I've only managed to keep the guac from erupting through the top of the bun once -- but it is so good! I'm trying to watch calories, so I usually get a side salad, but their fries are great, too! A few other details that add to the dining experience are the friendly atmosphere, great service, and great decor; we love the galvanized tin 'wainscoting' around the perimeter of the eatery! Delicious desserts, too -- my daughter and I are both chocoholics, and we like to share the Chocolate Fudge Cake (when we save room). We have never come away disappointed with any of our visits to Clarkes. Even on my birthday last year, the server misunderstood my order, and I got a basic cheeseburger instead of the Bacon Gauc. No problem. Austin, one of the cooks, had just finished his last order; and he whipped up a new burger for me in short order and put the wrong burger in a to-go box for me to have for lunch the next day (comped, of course). read more

I was really hoping to have a nice experience here. Their food menu states they have gluten free, but they only have gf bread. They did not have any gf bread available when we went. Nice staff and great service, but products not what they are started on menu. read more

We made a stop here for lunch and it was fantastic! They've got a good variety of beer and cider on tap too. A very out of the way place with a country feel inside. We will be back for sure! read more

Came here for lunch, and it was great! My husband and I shared the hot wings, jalapeño cheese tots, and a large chicken bacon caesar salad. All of it was delicious! This is only the second place we have found that serve these tots and they are a favorite of ours! The salad was super fresh and had well seasoned chicken and a great Caesar dressing. The kids got chicken strips and a corn dog and there was nothing lets on their plates! The chocolate cake was amazing also! read more

We moved to Beavercreek about a month and a half ago and since that time have eaten at Clarkes General Store and Eatery 4 times. I will tell you we have NEVER been disappointed! The food is really GREAT and the service is personable and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. It has a warm and comfortable feel to it with art work from local artists on the wall. Clarke's is well worth the drive if you want a beautiful drive, great food, and fantastic eye candy in the authentic decor. When Scott and Tammy took over and remodeled, they left the original boards. You can see the spike holes in the floor where the loggers walked through to the rooms upstairs. Clarke's is always clean, the food is always fresh, and the ambiance is outstanding. There is a small seating area inside, but on a lovely day, I suggest the big porch. read more

Stopped today while on a motorcycle ride. Nice ride coming from Mollala. The waitress was very nice and friendly. Pizza was excellent. The waitress brought out some fried pickles for us to try and some apple coleslaw both were very good. The atmosphere is rustic and very clean. I'll be back with friends. read more

It is wonderful to have a great place to eat that is only a mile from our home!! The food is great. Love to order their sweet potato fries along with my burger, sandwich or fish. Everything is clean & the servers are friendly. Love the old wood floors and the atmosphere they created with their interior & exterior decor. They have good pizza & you can eat it there or get it take out. I have never picked anything on their menu that I didn't like. Good eats!! read more

Out for a Sunday drive with my sweetie. Had the top popped on the jeep as it was a beautiful weekend. We are new to the area, so have spent some time exploring it. We passed by the store just as our tummies started to growl, did a quick U turn and headed in to the store. Walked back to the restaurant section and the very friendly waitress gave us the lowdown on what beers are on tap. The sweetie likes Coors and I opted for an Atlas Blackberry Hard Cider. We then chose an appetizer - fried mushrooms. You are given an ample amount of mushrooms to be able to split for 2 people. The waitress was able to talk us into a small pizza after that. We split a logger and garlic chicken. The crusts are not homemade, but they are also not over done and greasy. The pizza was tasty and the service was good. The pricing is what was amazing. The price for several beers, and appetizer and a small pizza (we took some home with us) was very inexpensive. It was nice to stop in and watch some basketball and enjoy some libations. We might make this a destination next time we are out exploring the countryside. The price, the food and the friendly staff made it all worthwhile. read more
