This place is a real sparkler! The staff answered all my geeky questions and made me and my family feel more then welcome. Oh...and the wines are stupendous. Their 2018's were divine and they even had an incredible 2020 which was pretty hard to do in 2020 due to smoke. I'll make it back someday. What a treat.

Quaint little tasting room with lots of good choices! We each had a tasting and then when we asked if we could purchase a glass of their chard, our tasting lead informed us that we couldn't but she promptly offered us a taste. As expected, fantastic!

A small boutique winery available by appointment only serving some great hand-crafted wines. Don't be fooled by the low key tasting room-the money is in the bottle. In fact this was one of our favorite stops during our tasting tour of the valley. We stopped in on recommendation of our wine guide from the previous day and weren't disappointed. On a Tuesday at 11 we were the only ones tasting and everything from the Chardonnay to the superb pinots really demonstrates the care of the wine maker and their craft. We learned a bit about the soil and history and even had a surprise visit by the wine maker. Jillian took good care of us in the tasting room and was nice to chat with as well. We bought a few bottles to take home and will definitely be keeping those to share with friends when we are missing the beautiful Oregon wine country.

I was here 5 years ago and I feel the same way as I did then. These wines are good but not worth the price that they're asking for. It's a beautiful location and there's a great story behind the winery and how it started. There's so many great Pinot Noirs in Willamette Valley yet some wineries believe that their wines are better than the others and ask for a higher price. Unfortunately I don't believe that this winery has the wines at that level. The hostess also lacked enthusiasm during our visit. Maybe she has been doing this for too long.

Beaux Frères is the Jewel of the Willamette Valley, their beautiful vineyards are nestled in the vibrant foothills of Newberg Oregon. They have refined the masterful talents of their team and delight in producing champion Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. My hat is off to the unique family that owns and runs this fine vineyard. Please take time to visit and savior the bounty of this piece of heaven on earth. Orders are welcome! I recommend the 2020 Beaux Frères, Willamette Vally Chardonnay and the 2010 Upper Terrace Pinot Noir. Enjoy!

Came with a group of 6 for our annual wine trip. Beaux Frères was amongst our top three wineries. We enjoyed a private seated tasting of rare, single vineyard bottlings and older vintages. The facility is warm (not temperature) and inviting. The staff are low key and welcoming. Our host was very knowledgeable and guided us through 6 delicious Beaux Frères, including a 2008 pinot noir. Laid back approach. Wines were very good to stellar. We were there during harvest, so got to observe some of the work up close and personally. Their fuzzy black pigs roaming around are cute and made us all smile. We liked Beaux Frères enough to join their wine club. Cheers and thanks for a wonderful experience!

Really enjoyed the beautiful scenic country side and fall colors... the winery is very farm like and cozy. The tasting area is adequate and the wine selection is good. We really liked their top tier wines at $85 and $95 per bottle! So much we walked out with 5 bottles.

This pig looks happy, but her stall was so tiny. Tiny only because I think this is the biggest Sow I HAVE EVER seen. The size of a VW BUG!!

We have been to a lot of wonderful vineyards here in Oregon upon our moving here in April 2015, and I have to say, we are SO impressed with them all. But there was clearly something very special about Beaux Freres. It is appointment only and we were right on time for our tasting appointment. Ryan, I believe was his name, was our Somelier. He seemed a bit distracted at the beginning of the tasting, but we broke the ice and he was JUST AWESOME!!! As a matter of fact, a couple walked in during our tasting and stated they did not have an appt but have wanted to get up to BF for a long time. Ryan asked if we were okay with them joining our tasting, and well, being the social butterflies that my hubby and I are, we agreed. The couple was really nice and seriously, why not right! As we did our tasting, Ryan educated us on any questions we had, as well as provided a few "off the tasting" menu tastings. Which was nice and we ended up spending WAY more money than planned. But totally worth it. The grounds are so pretty and the tasting room is quaint, small, and no seating. It is all about the standing and tasting. The wines are pinots, with a few other varietals. We ended up with a vintage for the library and about 5 other wines to bring home and drink RIGHT NOW!. JK, We gifted one or two and we drank one when we got home. I think we have two left. Man, beautiful wines, pricey, but they are a very small intimate vineyard. Oh, and just so you know, their 2014 Pinot was voted 3rd best IN THE ENTIRE WORLD! Yes, I said world. So, if that is something you would like to experience, you should give them a call and make an appointment.

The staff was polite, welcoming, and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. The experience was like going into a nice home, next to a vineyard, for wine and cheese. Lovely atmosphere. Our group of eight had a Saturday afternoon reservation. We arrived and were seated before 12:30pm and left by around 1:45pm. This did not appear to be a big operation. During our visit, I saw only two lady employees tending to all the customers. Rain Dance has indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated inside. Regardless of where you sit, there are good views of the property's vineyard and garden. It's beautiful and serene. Shortly after our tasting began, a bachelorette party left. Therefore, we had the inside all to ourselves save for a couple seated by the window. The weather was pleasant so several doors to the house were left open, creating a calm, gentle breeze. We had the wines listed below. Individual bottle prices are from the time of our tasting and descriptions are from Rain Dance's website at the time of writing this review ( https://raindancevineyards.com/shop/ ). * 2022 Grand Oak Vineyard Riesling. $32 for 750-mL bottle. "Classic aromas and flavors of stone fruit and tropical flowers are lifted by vibrant acidity on the palate. This drier-style Riesling allows for so much versatility at the dinner table, but fish dishes are our favorites." * 2023 Grand Oak Gewurztraminer. $32 for 750-mL bottle. "A Rain Dance favorite! Gewurztraminer is a rare find in Oregon, especially in such a dry style. Its lively notes of jasmine, peach and spice box are perfect for Asian and Indian dishes loaded with their own exotic spices." * 2022 Estate Pinot Noir Cuvee. $45 for 750-mL bottle. "Fresh notes of cherries, pomegranate, plums, black pepper, pipe tobacco, and cinnamon." * 2021 Grand Oak Vineyard Pinot Noir. $60 for 750-mL bottle. "Bright and fresh with a complex assortment of dark cherries, raspberries, cranberries, intermingled with thyme, sage, and cinnamon." Since the time of our visit, I think the 2022 Grand Oak Vineyard Riesling and the 2021 Grand Oak Vineyard Pinot Noir have been replaced by 2023 and 2022 vintages, respectively. We also had at least two charcuterie boards ($35 each) that included crackers, roasted hazelnuts, onion jam, pork rillettes, raisins, and three kinds of cheese. The total cost for our group for everything was $336, which worked out to $42 per person. While I've been to a lot of wineries/vineyards and done a lot of wine tastings (just search my reviews), I'm still by no means a wine connoisseur. All I can say about Rain Dance is I thought all of the wines were enjoyable. All four, from the riesling to the pinot noirs, were delectable. They smelled and tasted well made and high quality. In short, I enjoyed our visit to Rain Dance and thought it was worth the visit. Rain Dance Vineyards is named after owners and founders Celia and Ken Austin's Rain Dance Ranch. The ranch was established in 1991 and the vineyard was established in 2009.

Husband and wife founders and owners Jim and Stephanie Houchins are nothing short of fantastic. The wines we tasted were excellent. After meeting Jim and Stephanie, I could really see the passion they had for wine and their vineyard. Oliver Springs is truly a labor of love for them. According to their website ( https://oliverspringsvineyard.com/ ), their first vintage year was 2016 and they "are currently producing approximately 300 cases a year, making [them] a micro-boutique winery." Our tasting consisted of the following wines: * 2021 Chardonnay * 2019 Estate Pinot Noir * 2021 Estate Pinot Noir * 2019 Kieta's Block Pinot Noir * 2019 Sasha's Block Pinot Noir The tasting, regularly $25 per person, included a sheet with tasting notes. Stephanie conducted the tasting and Jim assisted. Jim also took us on an educational and informative tour of the vineyard. Oliver Springs has multiple grape clones, which are cut and grafted from the same mother vines. I'm no wine expert/connoisseur, but I believe the general thought is clones produce more consistent, higher-quality wines. The Kieta and Sasha Block Pinot Noirs were named after two of Jim and Stephanie's huskies. A third husky, Mosey (Mozzie? I'm not sure how to spell it.), joined us for our tasting and vineyard tour, which added to the experience. :) Oliver Springs is a small operation. I believe the vineyard is only about 3.5 acres. I know it's not Stephanie's full-time job and I guess probably not for Jim either. They're open on weekends by appointment only. Our group of eight visited on a Saturday morning around 10:30am. We left shortly after 12:00pm. They have a relatively small, simple, clean, and modern building with a tasting room inside. Unlike many other wineries, this one provides an intimate, get-to-know-the-owners type wine-tasting experience. Several of us ended up ordering wine afterwards. The wine cost anywhere from $42 to $50 per bottle. As is customary, they have wine clubs you can join as well. See my pictures or contact them for more info. If you're putting together a list of wineries to visit in Oregon, I highly recommend Oliver Springs Vineyard.
