Now my thinking personally is, if you want someone's business, you show them great customer relations and attention. My fiances bridal party contains 10 woman. That's a lot of money to be made! It took a week for someone to get back with us. I called my wedding site coordinator and asked if she knew of a hair and make-up person in Napa. She said she was just in a wedding and loved this lady and recommended her. Her name is Cecilila of violet hour. She gave me her information and my fiancé called. So just on a phone call conversation, she was very interested and excited for the opportunity to work our wedding. She said she would call back with more information and a time to come and do a trial. She called back the next day to set up a trial with make-up as well. We get to the salon and its a cute little salon. Clean, vibrant and welcoming. She was a joy to talk to. As well as the make-up artist. This were first impressions are kicking in. My fiancé is feeling very comfortable with them and is very happy. I left during the trial session as to not see what the bride to be will look like in the veil and everything. But from her accounts she was thrilled. On my return she looked more beautiful than ever! Hair style was prestine and make-up just stunning. As we left Cecilia said she would call with price quotes for the bridesdmaids and bride. She called back in a couple days with the pricing and it was very very reasonable. We booked her for our wedding and glad to have met her. The wedding hasn't arrived yet, so can't review day of wedding stuff, but on a first impression status she is a 5 star all the way.

If you're looking for incredible glam bridal hair and make-up - do not hesitate, book Beauty on Set now! I wanted a glam bridal look, and like every bride, I wanted to look and feel confident and like an elevated version of myself on our wedding day. Bre achieved all of this and more. This review is long - but believe me - Beauty on Set and Bre deserve all of the love! Liv was amazing to work with via email - she was responsive, professional and helped get everything booked. My trial with Bre was fun and easy (highly recommend doing a trial), and helped me know that we had a vision going into the big day. I had ideas on my hair, but for make-up, I told Bre to work her magic, and she did just that! I have never felt more beautiful than I did on our wedding day. Our wedding day was 90 degrees and sunny - my make up stayed perfectly put, and my hair - down with 'glam curls' - stayed put (and perfect!) all day/night. For reference, we finished HMU at 12ish, had a couple "touch-ups" before the ceremony, and the reception photos at the end of the night (11 pm!) still look gorgeous! I tend to get frizzy front bangs (naturally curly hair), but nope, not on wedding day! Bre is a true artist and professional. She elevates YOUR best features and does it all with a smile and the warmest personality. She is a JOY to hang out with and made getting ready so fun. Another important point (for the timeline obsessed) - my bridesmaids and I were ready on time (early!). I am so glad that we also had Bre stay on site with us for touch-ups. She kept me and the bridesmaids looking fresh, and she was also incredibly helpful holding flowers, etc during photos. This just further speaks to her warm soul. Her handheld fan was the other MVP! :) I could honestly gush forever, but long story short, if you want professional, incredibly talented hair and make up artists that are also so kind - look no further. I didn't initially plan to have professional hair and make-up on my wedding day since our event would be rather intimate. I am so glad that I decided to do it and that I decided to do it with Olivia and Mollie from Beauty on Set. First, they are both so lovely and fun to be around. They had me so at ease and brought my vision of how I hoped to look on my wedding day to life. Second, they are extremely professional and phenomenal at what they do. During the preview session we settled on the exact details of the hair and make-up for the wedding day which made me feel comfortable that everything would go smoothly the day of. On the wedding day, they made me feel and look so beautiful. My sister also had her make-up done and was so thrilled with the result. They were there to touch me up before the ceremony and even helped my young daughters with their hair. She showed up right on time, was super organized throughout the day, and kept us on schedule with time for a few last touch ups/modifications before the ceremony. She is full of positive energy and was so easy to get along with. I did a hair trial with her before the wedding to get a scope of what I wanted and she was very helpful during that - sharing pictures and advice about what options worked well/some that didn't based on my hair type and dress. Costs were very reasonable for everything compared to some others stylists I had scoped in SF/Oakland/Marin. I highly recommend Mary and Whimsy! to anyone looking for wedding hair/makeup services.

I asked Caysi for a refund in March 2020 to which she told me the deposit was non-refundable AND she didn't have the money to refund me the remainder of my payment. I was understanding because of how crazy the times have been and agreed with her that she would provide the service at a later time. Once I reached out to her, Caysi said she can't provide the service to me in August of this year as she is booked with clients (as if I'm not a client?). I asked to be refunded the other half of my money to which she refused. I then rescheduled my event to a weekday in September and asked her to provide the services. She stopped replying at this point, so I had someone else message her anonymously to see if she would respond to them. She did, and she said she was available on weekdays, so I know she is available but apparently unwilling to provide the service to me. I guess this makes sense , because why bother providing a service when you already have a clients money ? She may be polite but she ripped me off and took my money. I essentially paid 650$ but never received the service. Not only do I have to find a new makeup artist but I also have to spend even more money, which is frustrating. Rose is a very talented, caring, and professional hair and makeup artist. She really listened to me and understood the natural look I was hoping for. Rose and her partner did an amazing job on my entire bridal party and everyone was so happy with their hair and makeup. She perfectly planned the day and was able to get all 7 of us ready by the time the photographer arrived. She even gave me a touch up kit, including powder, lip gloss, and mascara which I didn't really need because my hair and makeup stayed perfect all day and night and required little touching up. I highly recommend Rose to any bride who wants to feel and look her best on her wedding day!
