But the one-star reviews give you the real story on their total incompetence, especially when it comes to answering phones and handling emergencies. Trust those. I have seen plenty of dentists, but these people operate like highway robbers. They bait you over the phone with a decent estimate, but the second you walk in, the quote magically doubles. They will try to upsell you on absolutely everything. It took me three visits to fully catch on to their scam. The biggest red flag is just how desperate they are for cash. I was literally in the dental chair, prepped and ready for the doctor to recement my crowns. Before he even started, the front desk staff marched up to my chair with a credit card machine demanding payment. I have never experienced anything so unprofessional in my life. And of course, even on my way out the door, they were still pushing deep cleanings. Jeez! The final straw was calling them early in the morning for an emergency extraction. They flat out refused to see me, told me to wait three days, and just offered to call in some pain meds instead. Disgusting. I immediately found another dentist who took care of it that same day and provided way better service than these insurance thieves ever did. The waiting room might look cute, but the back office reminds you are in the hood. If your gut is telling you to avoid this place, listen to it. You can find far better dental care in NYC, and ironically, you will probably pay a lot less for it.

Dental services can be painful...really painful. So, during dental procedures, you need someone to…read morecomfort you, more than anything. Columbia Dental Services aces this part completely. They have the best staff (at least the ones that I interacted with). My dentist is Dr Falguni Patel, who I believe is owner. She makes the whole procedure look so easy/comfortable, you literally tend to forget the pain. Another positive point about this place is that they're open on Saturdays too, which makes life much easier. They're great with following through. Lately they've started texting/emailing me to remind that my dental cleaning is due soon. The frequency of texts/emails is less than once a month, which, at least for me, is perfect number. In waiting area, they've a massage chair, which, of course, is convenient. You need to be lucky to get a parking spot on the street though (well, that's a problem in every corner of Manhattan, right?). However, subway stop is right at the corner of their block. I'll wrap up this review with recommending this dental clinic to everybody. Ask for Dr Falguni Patel. She is the nicest dentist..ever! You'll thank me later.

I called to make my appointment since I had several questions; Antoinette was sooo nice! She was very informative, kind hearted and kept her word. The visit was speedier than I imagined. The dental assistants were caring and funny. Dr. Lieberman was awesome as well; he educated us and helped provide a plan for our further appointments. Let me not forget the hygienist! She was friendly and even provided a few giggles as well. Altogether, I will be using this office. I love it.
