I said I did not want a deep tissue massage. She said it's very good for you. I said I booked a Swedish. (I have been a fan of Swedish for years.) Then I said, please don't massage my hands, I have arthritis caused by my cancer drug. (You folks with estrogen positive cancer know which drug.) --She sprang back as if she'd burned her hands. She said, "You have cancer, you have ACTIVE cancer!!" Totally puzzled, I said, "I am a cancer patient, yes. It's not contagious." She then refused to continue. She left the room. I'm there on the table, naked and alone. Vulnerable in more ways than one. I got up and put on a robe, then headed for the front desk/lectern. There she was pestering the hosts. I looked at the hosts and said, "Probably 1 out of 3 of the women clients here have cancer or have had cancer. It's not contagious!" Hosts talked me back into going into the room with the dim chicken message therapist. But the experience was absolutely ruined. By that time I was 100x more anxious than when I walked in. I still paid because I felt too emotional and vulnerable to be angry and leave. NEVER, EVER GOING BACK, though. And I am warning you about the low mental level of therapists working there. I am not asking for genius, just common sense. Who would treat a cancer patient like that?

They have a variety of pedicures available and most of them includes a 15min massage. My Gel manicure usually last beyond the 2weeks and the Spa uses good quality polish on your nails not the polish you get from dollar tree. The staff is extremely nice and you can only tip in Cash. All I needed was a polish color change, something that is simple... I called ahead to ask if they're available for a polish color change, and I was told someone would certainly be available, and I said I'll be there in 15. I arrived at 5:08 PM and wasn't helped until 5:25 PM, which I totally understood since I didn't have an appointment in advance - really no issues yet. The first person who assisted me burned my finger twice while buffing off my existing polish and then chipped one of my gel tips on my middle finger. I came in for a simple color change, and now I needed an extension to fix the big chip. I was eventually moved to an older woman, who I believe is the owner. She applied gel to fix the broken tip and reassured that it was a free charge. I appreciated it. But then she attempted to put the gel extensions on the rest of my nails; I had gotten a fill only a week ago and they were already a fresh new set. I had to stop her and reiterate that I was ONLY there for a color change, nothing more... She then tried to upsell me, explaining that a color change costs $35 but for an additional $10, I could get gel extensions to make my nails stronger and help the color last longer. I made it clear that this was not what I wanted. Side note: it is RIDICULOUS to charge $35 for a color change... She continued to upsell, offering a $2 hard coat, which I explicitly declined and clearly stated "no," and her response was "ok" ; I get upselling is part of the job and a way to run a business, so again no real issue here. However the issue became after I said no, she proceeded to try applying it anyway and then added it to my total. When she told me the total was $35 for the color change plus $2 for the hard coat, I was stern and was not accepting her sneaking in this charge. She did remove the charge, but the fact that she attempted to charge me for a service I had specifically refused is extremely disrespectful. I came in for a simple color change and left feeling disrespected and disgusted. And it all took wayyy too long - Like I said, I walked in at 5:08 PM, and left at 6:05 PM. I completely understand that businesses need money, but SNEAKING IN upgrades a customer never agreed to is shameful. I would caution others to be very clear about what they agree to before allowing any service to proceed. Unless $35 color changes and being charged up the ass is their thing.

Tenzin took the time to listen and made doubly sure she understood exactly what I wanted with my color. She's got such a warm and bubbly personality that the time I was there flew by. I laughed a lot. I almost cried when she spun me around and showed me the final product. She laughed at me when I told her I'd never left a salon loving the styling someone's done. There's always that exaggerated excitement because I don't want to be a downer, but I swear that was the FIRST time I felt like a million bucks. No lie. It's been weeks and I still look back at the pictures I took and wonder if that was actually me haha. The summer hasn't been kind with the humidity and my frizz, but the products she recommended have been a lifesaver. Only downside is that she's so great that you have to book in advance. That was a little tough for me because when I finally want to chop my hair, I want it done right then. But the wait was worth it.

I have noticed on several occasions that this new owner is not very welcoming and always seems upset and rude to certain customers ( people paying hundreds of dollars) get more respect than people paying $60. As an owner of a company you should treat everyone with respect regardless of how much they spend.
