This place is a hard pass. Do yourself a favor and really look at the reviews here. The five-star ratings are completely superficial, with one guy even reviewing the looks of the front desk girls. But the one-star reviews give you the real story on their total incompetence, especially when it comes to answering phones and handling emergencies. Trust those. I have seen plenty of dentists, but these people operate like highway robbers. They bait you over the phone with a decent estimate, but the second you walk in, the quote magically doubles. They will try to upsell you on absolutely everything. It took me three visits to fully catch on to their scam. The biggest red flag is just how desperate they are for cash. I was literally in the dental chair, prepped and ready for the doctor to recement my crowns. Before he even started, the front desk staff marched up to my chair with a credit card machine demanding payment. I have never experienced anything so unprofessional in my life. And of course, even on my way out the door, they were still pushing deep cleanings. Jeez! The final straw was calling them early in the morning for an emergency extraction. They flat out refused to see me, told me to wait three days, and just offered to call in some pain meds instead. Disgusting. I immediately found another dentist who took care of it that same day and provided way better service than these insurance thieves ever did. The waiting room might look cute, but the back office reminds you are in the hood. If your gut is telling you to avoid this place, listen to it. I recently moved nearby and needed a new dentist so I decided to give here a try. I'm actually very happy with my decision. There was literally no wait. It also helps that the front desk lady that checked me in was friendly, gorgeous...I digress. I sat in the front maybe less than 5 minutes. It was one of the cleanest dental places I've been in. As far as care, I will say they seem to be very techy. This was my first cleaning in 1.5-2 years and it seemed like 10 years. They had X-ray guns and X-ray wands. The X-ray gun was like whoa ok. The X-ray wand though was next level. They rub it around in your mouth (hehe) and basically pull up the image on a computer. When I saw the image I was like wtf. It has your mouth imaged in a 3D rotational visual, exact teeth coloring, implants, tooth shape,gum grooves etc. I found it fascinating. Anyway I recommend it here, no complaints read more

The dentist there was wildly rude to me. The front waiting room is misleadingly well furnished and nice-looking but the back is dirty and awkwardly arranged. I am glad I found Cascada Dental. My teeth were a horrible mess, but thanks to Dr.Senor and Dr.Nehleber they are slowly becoming great again. Dr.Senor fixed one of the crowns other doctors would not touch offering an implant. I am still in the process, but want to say how responsible, gentle, and professional both doctors are. I was a bit skeptical at first because it's in the Heights, but after my first visit, I can confidently say this place is a 10/10. Everyone was incredibly nice, super friendly, and genuinely pleasant to talk to. They took great care of me and, instead of pushing unnecessary services, they asked questions and took the time to understand my needs. I really value that. Business has deceptive practices to pull customers in. Information regarding payments co payments are purposefully withheld. Appointment was canceled for provider I was scheduled with and assigned to a different provider without my permission and or knowledge. Had to take cab, to and from business with a new born. Building was cold 59 degrees when outdoor temperature was 26 degrees a clear violation in nyc building code. Front desk clerk smiled herself away as if she was at a comedy show. Front desk violated hippa when purposefully open phone line so another party without my consent listen in to private information about me. Called 40 plus times calls are ignored purposefully, when calls are not and placed on hold, it rings out without an answer. Front clerk is dismissive and nonchalant, rude. My new born is currently congested as a result of cold temperatures exposed to during visit. Will be escalating to all agencies. read more

I have had the absolute WORST dental experience in my life thanks to Cascada Dental Spa. It started back at the end of December 2022. I had gone in for a cleaning and was told I needed to have an old crown replaced. Worst decision! Immediately following the old crown removal, I had pain in this tooth. Never had the pain before. The pain would come and go and I told the dentist who did an xray but couldn't find anything. Then a few months later, the pain was terrible, the gum was swollen, and there was pus coming out. Turns out the dentist accidentally fractured the tooth during the process to remove and replace the crown. This is what was explained to me not only by the dentist himself, but by his colleague as well. Now I have to have the tooth removed and I just paid around $600 to have this new crown put in. The office said they would credit me the money I paid from the crown towards the implant that I now needed. I get the tooth extracted and now I only have one back molar on my right lower side. While I was waiting to get the implant for the other molar, this last molar falls out due to not having a tooth in front of it. Now I've lost TWO teeth because of this place! Fast forward to January 2024. I go in for a cleaning again and the same dentist that fractured my tooth before now tells me he needs to do work on other teeth in my mouth. I told him no way, I don't want the same thing as before to happen with my tooth breaking. He tells me it was an "unfortunate accident". I refuse to be treated by him again. A few weeks later I go in for my implant procedure. Let me tell you, it was the MOST PAINFUL DENTAL PROCEDURE IN MY LIFE. I was crying, writhing in the chair, gripping my clothes or the arm rest or whatever I could. Absolute agony. He tried to go "slower" to help but oh my god, it only prolonged the torture and pain. I walked out of there, shaking. My hair was wet from my own tears. I was still numb but I could feel the pain in my jaw. I was visibly swollen for days and I was in a lot of pain the whole week. I needed the Vicodin prescribed just to take the edge off. Just horrific and traumatic. At a checkup two weeks later, the dentist tells me the implant is not integrating with the bone and that it has to come out and be placed again! After all that pain and torture! I said absolutely not, I cannot go through that again. They agree to refund me the money I paid for the implant so that I can go elsewhere to have it put in again but under general anesthesia BECAUSE IT WAS SO PAINFUL THE FIRST TIME. After the bad implant was removed and I had finished healing from it, I had to get that refund so that I can get the implant elsewhere. I also wanted a refund on the crown that caused the break to begin with, since I had only had it for five months and they were going to credit me anyway. It took weeks but I finally get a call from Dr. Saleem Josephs. He takes this opportunity to tell me that not only would I not be getting the refund for the crown, but that it was basically MY fault the tooth broke because it was so weak and that crowns "don't cause this". So my tooth was weak and you're saying that having significant work done had no impact? When I had pain IMMEDIATELY following the crown removal? He said it was a coincidence! And when I told him the other dentists admitted the tooth broke from the procedure, he said they "didn't mean that". When I told him I had severe pain during the implant procedure, he goes "what, because you had your mouth open for too long or something..?" Wildly INAPPROPRIATE! He then tells me how dire the situation is in my mouth and how I need help immediately and that I need a specialist who can "handle the path I'm on". I went to another dentist after all of this and it was not the gloom and doom Dr. Josephs portrayed. In fact, the two dentists/surgeons I've seen since then have said that the dentist not only used the wrong implant on me, but that the procedure to place it was also done incorrectly. This is likely what led to my body rejecting that implant. I just had the implant procedure at another dental surgery center and it has been a night and day difference from that horrible implant procedure that Cascada Dental attempted. I have minimal pain and swelling. Completely different from last year when I had a big lump under my jaw and was in pretty bad pain for days. I cannot believe how horrible, painful, and traumatic this all has been. It's sad because I had a good experience before and this completely ruined it. I was treated awfully by Dr. Saleem Josephs. How messed up is it to cause a patient so much pain and suffering and then blame them and say they did nothing wrong. I used to praise this place to my neighbors. I now tell everyone I know not to go here. Everyone I tell this story to is absolutely appalled. Because it is appalling. This place is nice and has workers that are respectful. I have a phobia of the dentist and have grown to bike some good relationships here with the employees. Though it can be extremely pricey, I'm in hopes the process when completing my investment is worth it. I've had a few concerns they cleared up immediately which is nice. They have clean restrooms and dental office areas. This place can get extremely packed but wait times vary depending on the day and if you have an appointment. Only downside is you can't get stuck on a favorite dentist because they tend to transfer/ leave/ or are just super busy. read more

Unhelpful. If you have any emergency this is not the place to go. You could be bleeding from your mouth and they will tell you to simply find a cloth to cover the bleeding because they are unable to make time for emergency appointments. Front desk staff is dismissive and ignores helping. They are unprofessional. The doctor does good work but good luck getting in contact once you have to deal with anyone at the front desk. I went here in Feb for a cleaning. They took X-rays and told me the previous fillings and dental work I have had in the past (at a different office) was shoddy and needed to be re-done. My old fillings are fine and do not need to be re-done. They also told me my gums were receding and I needed the electric toothbrush they sell in office to remedy this. This was also not true. My gums are not receding. Because of the weird experience there I decided not to go back and find another office. However, since then Cascada calls me on a DAILY basis for MONTHS and send me very odd texts like, "if you don't come in it will only get worse". Are you kidding me? Trying to use scare tactics and borderline harassment to try to get me to come in again. I'm good. Avoid this place. Calling them has been very difficult, being put on hold and transferred to people that don't pick up or aren't working. Their voicemail inbox is also full. Finally, I was able to get through, and I was told I can only be provided my records in person, which is different than what I was told in the past. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. The assistant who took my x-rays and the hygienist were both excellent. No complaints there. When the dentist, Dr. Kim, came in he looked at my X-rays and told me I had 6 cavities, two of which would require crowns. (Dr. Kim didn't actually show me my x-rays when telling me all of this.) He told me these needed to be addressed ASAP. He gave me a printed treatment plan that included over $1700 worth of dental work. This whole situation seemed quite odd to me as I've only ever had one cavity in my entire life and take excellent care of my teeth. A few days later, I went to another dentist to get a second opinion. He looked at the x-rays that Cascada sent and said, "I don't see any cavities other than the one that was previously filled. I'm going to take my own x rays free of charge just to double check." His x rays also showed nothing. He said that the filling on my previous cavity had fallen out, and he refilled it in about 5 minutes. Had a listened to Dr. Kim, I would've gotten over a thousand dollars worth of dental work that I didn't need. He would have drilled into 6 of my teeth for absolutely no reason. I just had the worst experience at Cascada Dental Spa. I booked an Invisalign Smile Design about a month. I received a quote and the woman that gave me the quote told me when I'm ready just book the appointment as Invisalign smile design. I was so excited to get my process started and it was sadly ruined. I don't know what the issue was honestly. I was taken to the back by an employee I was told to sit on the chair while he started typing away silently. I asked what's the first step in the process? And he asked what my appointment was for? I said Invisalign smile design. He said, he was confused about my appointment and was going to the front to figure things out. About 15 mins later, a woman comes and asks the same thing! And says the manager is going to come speak with me. Huh? What was so confusing about my appointment?! So I wait another 10 mins, then I decided I no longer feel good about giving this place my business so I walked out. I have no idea what the issue was because no one was communicating with me. I scheduled and paid for a cleaning ONLY at Cascade weeks before I started a full-time job with full dental benefits. I was told during the cleaning that I had "several" cavities that needed immediate attention. He recommended sealents for $600 plus other immediate work during the appointment. I stated at least three times that I would NOT be paying for services outside of the cleaning because my new full-coverage dental insurance would be active in a few weeks. He kept repeating himself. It felt predatory. One month later, when I visited my new dentist at NY Presby, under full dental coverage, I told him that Cascade had told me I had several cavities that needed immediate attention. After an examination, I had not one cavity and no work need, other than an extra cleaning. All the procedures for $$$$ that Cascade said needed immediate attention were a hoax. The receptionist have no perception of tonality with the patients and take everything personal - it must be the language barrier and poor training. I am grateful for all the care and services I received here the past few months! I was worried about finding a dentist, but now that I found this place I will come here as long as my insurance will let me! You can see pictures of how modern, clean, and high tech this place is so my review will mainly be on my experience. My first visit here was scheduled with Dr Pang on ZocDoc. However when I got to the Cascada they informed me that Dr. Pang no longer worked there. The girls in front were able to quickly set me up with another dentist. The hygienist I first saw was wonderful, she pushed a few products on me, but was understanding and professional when I refused. I am also super glad I got to meet Dr Chang! Dr. Chang was amazing and also attentive. We found out I had six cavities with 2 being super deep (YIKES) Dr. Chang was wonderful at making me feel comfortable. I absolutely felt like I was in great hands. His technique for injecting the lidocaine was amazing! I barely felt the needle. He is my favorite now because of this! He also put a plastic thing for me to bite on while he worked on my teeth so that I wouldn't have to hold my jaw open. I really appreciate it! We were only able to fill 3 of my cavities that day, and managed to save me from a root canal (Phew!). I had to return the next day for the other 3 with Dr. Levits. The next day I actually called to try to cancel because who wants to go to the dentist yah know? And also I used most of my insurance so I basically had no more coverage. Dr. Levits was able to make a deal with me and bring down the price to something I was comfortable with and we were able to get all the cavities we thought were urgent. The next few weeks, I went back a few times because my bite felt off. Dr. Lee saw me a few times for adjustments, and helped me adjust them to make the bite comfortable as possible, and assured me that teeth move around and I knew I was getting obsessive about it too since it was so sensitive. A month later my teeth were in pain. Not sharp pain but super sensitive. To the point where it was affecting how I was speaking because it was painful and uncomfortable pronouncing words. It was difficult for me to go back to the dentist because I was attending a class 6 days a week, however I was lucky that Dr. Feldman works on Sundays! I am so grateful that he was able to see me and also help me adjust my teeth. He was very kind and patient with me since I had a hard time describing exactly what was going on. Dr. Feldman's assistant was amazing too. He was gentle with the x-rays he took since I have a very small jaw( we used the children one haha). There was quite a long wait, but I always prepare myself to wait at the doctors especially if they are nice enough to work sunday! After my second visit with Dr. Feldman I was feeling desperate and hopeless because my teeth were just super sensitive and I didn't know what to do anymore. Nothing seemed to make my teeth feel better. I agree with Dr Feldman that I was obsessing over them, but they were sooooo uncomfortable to the point I could not tell what was wrong. THANKFULLY his assistant recommended that I try night guards that I could buy online or at drug stores. He said that even though my teeth show no signs of clenching and grinding, my symptoms sounded awfully like it. I may have started since I was going through a stressful period in my life with school and everything, and it doesn't hurt to try. After he mentioned that I bought some night guards on amazon and my teeth started to feel better within 2 days, and I noticed that I've been clenching!! Now my teeth are pain free and not sensitive anymore!! Overall they took great care of me! They do offer and push for services however I see it as they are my teeths advocates and I always ask them to double check my insurance before anything gets done :) and I let them know if it fits my budget. The ladies in front are also very nice for the most part, but I would double and triple check for prices and estimates for services, and what your exactly your insurance covers from them. Ask everytime and make it clear and transparent to the dentist and staff what you can afford and what you cannot. read more

I went to Cascada for a couple years before COVID. I needed some non-trivial work then, a crown, I think. They were the best dentists I'd ever been to, clean, really nice staff, and most of all, great dentists. Most impressive was Dr. Yaraghi, the owner of the clinic, very interested in community health, and a really skilled dentist. But when I went again recently, something is different. I'd been told that Dr. Yaraghi would be available in January. In fact, I think she is no longer there, though they tell me she's "on a business trip" and they don't know when she'll be back. If her Google listing is up to date, she has a practice in Ridgewood, N.J. and is no longer available at Cascada. Another dentist I'd really liked is no longer there either. I have a serious problem and really need to see someone good that I can trust. After a cleaning, which didn't seem that thorough, I spoke to the dentist who was there that day. She said my tooth problem was serious, but didn't seem clear what to do about it. She suggested I see a bone graft specialist who comes in every week or so. I made an appointment, but later canceled it, not wanting to be directed to serious--and expensive-- surgery by someone I had never seen before. I had been scheduled to see someone else there for a filling, but when he wasn't listed on their website, I found he was listed elsewhere as still a student, who offers " advice on proper brushing, flossing, etc." and canceled that appointment too. So, I don't know. Maybe I'm just feeling nervous about whatever is going on with my teeth. It may be that Dr. Yaraghi really is on a business trip and will be back and available soon. It may be that the bone graft expert, could be trusted to recommend a less drastic procedure if it was possible. And it may be that the dentist who was a student a year and a half ago, has had lots of training and experience since then and would be fine to fill a cavity. I just don't feel the confidence that I felt before. read more

Love the dentists. The constant* texts and phone calls are a bit much. The three of us have used Cascada for a couple years and its constant communication from Cascada, always at least 2 identical calls for every "friendly reminder for a cleaning" per person (so about 6 calls and texts) plus somehow more. They call and text to confirm beforehand as well and if you don't respond they will CANCEL your appointment. I don't have a problem with the confirmations- i get it. But somehow it feels like they are in at least one of my inboxes all the time. They call me more than my Mother. It is definitely excessive the constant calls/texts/emails/mailings. We moved away and the texts and calls continued. I said we moved. They continued. I said we moved again.* They continued. I said to "please make a note that we have moved." Still calls. I also had the experience of getting a crown that fell off in 3 days just* at the beginning of COVID lockdown. I went 3 months during that quarantine without it as it was not worth risking my life (I am immunocompromised) to get the crown put on PLUS they were closed for at least half that time anyway. When they reopened to call me for a cleaning, I mentioned the crown and what happened and they proceeded to blame me for not coming in "sooner." Like; as in; when we weren't supposed to leave our apartments except emergencies. I figure they were going to charge me for the crown again because of the time that elapsed when my crown fell off in days. Crowns are not cheap. I think it was about a grand. read more

The dentist who attended on me yesterday to cement back my bridge ( at a cost of $275 plus $95) was unprofessional! At the end of the procedure he asked me to remove the 2 cotton swabs by myself and pointed me to throw it in a garbage can. Is this normal professional behavior? I was quite shocked! I know that the practice touts it's Columbia pedigree. Apart from charging me a total of $370 just to cement a bridge which took 10 minutes, this rude behavior is an indication that this practice is a rip off and prone to racist trope's like "remove the cotton swabs yourself, and throw it on the garbage." I had an infection following a root canal procedure I had done at another dentist. The infection got so bad and painful, I could barely sleep at night and had difficulty doing basic daily activities. Given what's happening now with COVID-19, I understandably had difficulty finding a provider who was open and could see me. The Cascada Dental Spa team welcomed me with open arms and was able to remove the tooth in question. This team deserves mad props for doing this work and being so professional. This has got to be one of the worst dentist offices I have ever had the misfortune of going to. Not only are the receptionists untrained in knowing which services your insurance provider covers, but they also seem to have a hard time booking appointments. I booked two appointments - one for myself and another for my husband on March 13th 5 minutes apart. Upon arrival, neither of our appointments could be found. After waiting at the counter for 10 or so minutes, they told us to have a seat as they figured out how to squeeze us in. We both needed a simple cleaning but figured we could just reschedule to come back another time. Once we started talking about leaving, they miraculously found space for both of us. I went in first to a kind dentist assistant who did x rays, and told me I had some cavities. The doctor then came in and told me I would be there for a little over an hour as he filled them and did the actual cleaning. I was fine with that as it sounded routine. As the doctor began filling in my cavities, he remarked about the shade of my teeth and if I ever considered a retainer to make my teeth straighter. I told him I was not interested but during the entire cavity filling process, he tried to sell me on making my teeth whiter and straighter (mind you my teeth are not yellow or extremely crooked). After his constant comments about how imperfect my teeth were, I agreed to do a teeth scanning similar to Invisalign or Smile Direct Club. After the cleaning and fillings were completed, I met with another dentist assistant who spoke to me only in Spanish. I let her know I did not speak Spanish, and she began making derogatory comments about my parents for not teaching me Spanish. Very unprofessional. After that experience, I knew I would not return for any future cleanings. Months later, I received an invoice from them stating I owed close to $2,000 for the X-Rays, routine fill in's and cleaning. I was confused because I have good insurance and paid my co pay prior to leaving on March 13th. I called my insurance and found out the claim was denied because they used an out of network provider for the claim. I called Cascada Dental and told them the original claim needed to be amended with the correct provider name. They agreed to do so and I never thought much of it. Now, months later in August at 10 PM I receive an emailed invoice stating I owe that same amount due on the date of receipt. Upon future investigation, I discovered they resubmitted a new claim which was declined because it was identical to the first, original out of network claim. Instead of amending the original claim, they simply filled a completely new one. Not only are the receptionists unable to make appointments but the billing department lacks the training to accurately file claims. Now I have to go back and forth with my insurance company about this issue because Cascada Dental doesn't know how to train anyone so they can do their jobs correctly. Please avoid this dentist office at all costs! Oh and my husband also received a bill for an X Ray that was not covered because the receptionists failed to find out if it was covered PRIOR to scheduling the service. Stay away from this crappy place. They don't care about quality of service - just about billing your insurance the most they can get. read more

1. The receptionists are incompetent. after giving them my insurance info (over the phone) they told me I was inactive. After I confirmed with my insurance that I wasn't, I called them back for them to try again. they then called the wrong insurance and told me I wasn't in the system. keep in mind, before they called, I GAVE THEM the phone number. They were convinced i didn't have insurance that she told me to cancel my apt or i can still come in and she began telling me the prices for out of pocket cleaning. I insisted i have insurance and that i would not pay out of pocket nor cancel my apt on zocdoc. (side note- they don't have access to any info on zoc doc so updating zocdoc is pointless and a waste of time) They made me miss my appt because they took forever to do a very simple job of calling a number a gave them and confirming my insurance (one that is in their system that they know and accept). so much more detail and frustrating I'm leaving out, but how hard is it to call a number provided to you and confirming a member ID. they put me on hold so many times and wasted my entire morning. they said they would call back after each call, but they never did, so I had to... 2. When I finally did go in, one of them made fun of me to her coworkers (in Spanish, which she didn't realize I mostly understood). and while that receptionist was hovering over the receptionist "helping" me she told me to sit down, before I received paper work and the lady assisting me gave her a look and told her no... they clearly aren't in sync. She also took a call while i was just standing there with no instructions. 3. I waited in the waiting room for about 15 min after my apt start time (which sadly is expected these days). When I did x-rays, the woman tried 3-4 times before asking me to remove my glasses, I would have thought that should happen immediately but this is really a minor point, except that i had to do a few extra attempts which suck bc the mouth insert isn't comfortable. Next, not 5 min into my cleaning, the water shooter stops working. 4. no one tells you what they are doing, they sort of just do it. though the hygienist was kind and friendly. 5. the dentist was very nice and friendly but I saw him for probably 90 seconds. before he rushed out. i was left standing there alone, no one told me i was done. no one checked me out at the front desk. overall terrible experience. would give half a star if that were possible. I went this dentist a little while back. I was told I needed a Root canal and had a cavity. Also was told I had to pay extra for all of this because of there fees. I went to another dentist to find out their prices, when they checked my mouth. I was told I didn't have a cavity and didn't need a root canal. That was the last time I went there. It's a Sunday and I'm in really bad pain from my wisdom tooth I could not sleep I could not eat and it being Sunday I knew as a new patient I prob will not get seen but this place saw me ima. Timely manner and was really great. SOPHIA the receptionist tried to work with me money wise and insurance wise as my deductible was low. She was so sweet and the tech luz was patient as well. Great bedside manner: The doctor was Phenomenal i believe his name was Dr.Lenny great bedside manner and great explaining of things. He did the extraction. Of the wisdom tooth and it was less then 10 mins: no pain while doing it. I am usually scared of the dentist but them asking if I'm ok really felt like they cared. I went to a dentist yesterday that i wasted money on but Dr. Lenny was worth every penny and I will def be going back. read more

Upon checking in, i could tell that the receptionist could not find our appointment. Its not the first time this happened. Last time i scheduled appointments for my husband and i, they only scheduled me but not him. This time i called to schedule 2 appointments for me and him at the same time and the person who was supposed to put my appointment in apparently didn't even put it in. It took her 5 mins to even find my name in their system.We arrived 30 mins before our appt so i can fill out my forms, but i didnt even get called inside until 30 mins past my appointment time. Everyone who came in after us was brought in but we were still waiting. The receptionist saw me and said "oh youre still here?" Well yea. Mind you im 5 months pregnant. Its your job to make sure im being seen on time. To make matters worse, once my appointment was done.. i come out and come to find out my husband is STILL WAITING. Hes been waiting a total of 2 hours in the waiting room when this whole time i thought he was brought in after i was called in and none of the girls even bothered to check on his appointment and why he was waiting for so long. CRAZY. My husband tried to tell them to refund his money and cancel the appointment and they looked at him like he was crazy. She proceeded to say "you're cancelling?" Duh. 2 hours waiting is absurd. The whole time you hear them chatting about where they were going out tonight and no worries on their patients waiting. Its such a shame because everyone in the back were so amazing but we will not be returning because of the lack of professionalism and efficiency of the front desk. read more

He was patient with me & very informative through every visit & trust me, I can be a pain to deal with plus my poor oral health & crooked teeth was a complicated case. I wrote this review a few months ago and decided to hold off on posting because I wanted to finish the course of my treatment before posting but as I should've expected, my last visit was just as chaotic as almost every other visit. My experience with Cascada has been frustrating. I chose this office specifically for Invisalign and it has been a terrible experience, pretty much from start to (almost) finish. I would not recommend this place nor am I looking forward to returning for any post-treatment that may be necessary for Invisalign. First, I only saw the dentist for my initial visit (scans, consultation) and then from that point on I was "seen" by whoever was available the day of my appointment (maybe the initial dentist once more over the course of my year long treatment) and it was never clear whether my next "appointment" was simply to pick up trays or actually be seen and evaluated by a dentist or an Invisalign Specialist. After a few months of uncertainty regarding my treatment plan, I started to request details about my next appointment. I would ask questions like "will I be seen by a dentist to evaluate my progress next visit or will I just be picking up trays?" This was frustrating because I would take days off for the appointment only to be handed trays by reception (literally 10 mins or less) so I couldn't even plan my appointments efficiently.No one could ever tell me what the next appointment was for and who I will be seen by when I come in. They would say things like "it's up to the doctor" or you'd have to ask the doctor".OBVIOUSLY, I'm asking for clarity on how to get to a doctor but of course "doctors" were rarely available when I was in the office and trying to call and get follow-up questions answered was usually a fail. Therefore, any questions or issues I had with my treatment would go unanswered and this has languished for the entire duration of my treatment. Regarding the administrative side of things, it was equally bad. I was overpaying the first few months (based on what was initially decided in my installment plan) and my invoice reflected a higher amount than the amount actually due. This went on for a few visits until at my own advocacy it was eventually resolved. On the upside, it is easy to make an appointment and I do recall them being pretty flexible when I needed last minute appointments for Invisalign or other dental needs. I also received a few really good cleanings by who I am assuming is a hygienist so that was a bright spot. Early on, I considered resuming my regular cleanings at this office ( again I only came here for Invisalign initially) but the dissatisfaction that ensued around literally everything else at this office gives me real pause about continuing any type of treatment here. They were willing to do some refinements to get me as close to satisfied as possible with my Invisalign treatment so I do appreciate that but this is a standard of service that any patient should expect so I don't know if that warrants a kudos. Lastly, I observed some questionable hygienic practices such touching objects (drawer handles, markers, computer screens) around the space while performing treatment and not changing gloves. With a pandemic on the loose--they should tighten up their hygienic standards for sure. If you are considering Invisalign treatment here, my advice would be: 1. Ask up front who your dentist will be and what you can expect from each of your visits for the duration of your treatment plan 2. Ensure that you are clear on the cost of your treatment and your monthly installment amount (if you're on an installment plan) 3. Advocate for yourself as needed and bring forth any concerns as they arise read more

Needa, their dental hygienist, completed my dental cleaning- I had an excellent experience with her! She was detail oriented, conscientious and made me feel comfortable through the whole cleaning process. She took care of all the staining and build up with the added hurdle of my braces. Unfortunately, the oral scanning that followed was an uncomfortable experience with the number of times that I had to have the scanning piece shoved into my mouth. The woman who carried out this part was sweet and apologetic. However, I wish a different scanning device was utilized- one that isn't as pokey. The staff members were very friendly and I would return for any service other than the scanning. read more

I've heard horrible things of this dentist office and honestly I'm not sure why. This was my first visit and the staff was beyond kind. Luz took care of me, she took my scans and X-rays and then handed me off to Gabriel. Two incredibly talented and professional people. First, when I walked through the door nobody even acknowledged me. The staff and one of the dentists were too busy talking amongst themselves. They brought me in and made me sit in the chair for 20 minutes because they couldn't figure out how get their computer or camera working to take pictures of my mouth. They finally finished doing that and I got my cleaning. The dentist said that she would give me fluoride which she didn't tell me she was going to charge me $50 for!!! She also kept pushing me to give her 5 stars on yelp. Please. Asking for 5 stars automatically means you don't get 5 stars. After that, another dentist (Dr. Yarahi?) came and basically tried to upsell me on Invisalign. I took a free consultation because why not? I was sent to another person to talk about pricing. The woman who I had to go to for that clearly hates her job and was trying to convince me to get the work done. I said no and then she goes on to say that she didn't know what the dentist said, but she sees crowding in my teeth. In my mind I am thinking "Who the f are you? You're not an orthodontist!" I left the office and on my way out the dentist who did my cleaning stopped me and asked if I got charged for the fluoride. I said yes and she didn't even bother saying goodbye. Where do I start ... everything from booking the appointment to the very end was a complete disaster. This place is so unorganized no one is working together or seems to know what they're doing. But by far this has been the worst experience at an Dental office I ever experienced. These people are only worried about billing you and taking your money more than anything else. Please go elsewhere if you're looking for a dental office that actually care about your teeth. So to start, I booked my appointment everything was fine then I called back a few days later asking if I can move my appointment to an earlier time receptionist stated she wasnt sure if they took my insurance. I explained I was already booked and been there before with the same insurance she told me to call back later to speak to the manager to see if they take my insurance. Later in the week I called back and was told my appointment was already changed with no confirmation on anything. Next the day of the appointment I get a call 15m before my appointment that they actually sent me a confirmation text for stating that my appointment wasnt for another a hour if I could come in later. I told them no I already had everything set up and took the day off for this particular time. I asked can I still come in and get everything I made an appointment for done. They said yes to hurry up and come in. So I made it to my appointment on time at the time I was scheduled for. I went in no one was waiting so im skeptical on why I was being rushed to come in. I got my cleaning right away even though the hygienist was nice she didnt really seem to know how theyre protocol works and then I had to see the Dentist for 3 fill ins when he rudely with a nonchalant attitude told me he only had time to do 1 fill in. I asked how is that when I specifically made my appointment for 3 fill ins he said that sometimes theyre too busy and dont have time, all the bs excuses and refused to do them. Mean while hearing him and his assistant go back and forth. And after all that I spoke to the manager in charge while she took her time to hear me out we came up with no real solutions only trying to get me to come back. And needless to say everytime ive came here I had some sort of issue. Safe to say I wont be going back dont even waste your time coming to this fake "luxury" dental place. read more

I'm a patient of Cascada but hadn't gone for awhile due to the pandemic. But since things have calmed down in NYC, I thought I should consider getting a cleaning - which was overdue. Before making an appointment, I called to find out if Cascada is observing precautions and was told it is - that all patients are required to wear masks, get their temperature taken and hands washed. I was also told all staff wear masks and other protective PPE. I still felt anxious but thought I should do the cleaning now in case things get worse again in the future. Unfortunately, when I arrived on time for my appointment, I saw a patient in the waiting room with her mask hanging from her ear. After five minutes I couldn't take it any more and let the front desk staff I felt unsafe because the mask policy wasn't being enforced. They motioned to the patient, who gave me attitude but put her mask on. I was soon led to a treatment room and told a hygienist would be with me. After 20 minutes of anxious waiting (with my mask still on) imagining other patients' respiratory fluids wafting about, I stopped a staff member and told her I was anxious and feeling unsafe waiting around. The hygienist (Scarlet) showed up shortly afterward and when she asked how I was doing, I was honest and to her credit, she was very empathetic, apologizing and asking if I still wanted to proceed. At that point, I just wanted to get it over with. The good news is the cleaning was effective, painless and professional. When I went to pay, I saw yet another patient not using her mask properly. Ugh! In fairness, I'm told the staff has been doing their best to get the community to observe the mask protocols and has taken a lot of flack for it from patients who just don't seem to respect others' health. So if you're wondering if Cascada has good hygienists, it absolutely does. I'd definitely ask for Scarlet again. But if you're wondering if you can count on other patients to do their part, not so much. read more
