Got my hair cut and my eyelashes done today. Danica is the third person to ever work on my lashes. My search ends here. Last time I got them done somewhere else they were so uncomfortable my eyes watered all the time ...they just felt so heavy. I love my lashes now. They look and feel great. Love my hair too. I LOVE DANICA!! She is truly a miracle worker. I was in a wedding that had the MOST godawful color!! ORANGE!! I had made an appointment with her weeks before the wedding for my hair and came after just having my makeup applied. As soon as I walked in the door Danica already knew I was anxious....she knew I hated my dress, I wasn't happy with my makeup and I was nervous about my hair!! Danica IMMEDIATELY calmed me down assuring me that I had nothing to worry about and that she would take care of me!! Danica adjusted my makeup (didn't even ask her to do it) and styled my hair. I did a makeup trial run and fell in love with the end results and knew going with Danica was going to be one of the best decisions for my wedding. Danica is the best! For years I went to a salon in the Marina, but one day it happened....my stylist moved out of state. By luck, I stumbled upon Beauty Fix Studio. The salon is in Brisbane, which is only a 10 minute drive from sf and also means....easy parking!! The salon is gorgeous, and Danica is a perfectionist when it comes to hair. She is patient and attentive, but most importantly, talented and straightforward. After discussing color and cut, Danica recommended the perfect color and cut. I went with her suggestions and love my hair! I will definitely be returning to Danica and next time, I will also be getting my eyebrows done too. read more

I've been going to Danica since 2007 and have recommended her to my family and friends. She knows exactly what to do with your hair. I just tell her what I want and she does it and sometimes I just let her decided what to do with my hair. I trust her that much. I was very fortunate to have her get me ready for my wedding last year. She did my hair and make up as well as my 4 other bridesmaids. She did a great job. Bottom line, not what I had expected after reading all the reviews. Here's mine. Salon is nice and clean. Parking is hard since it first-come first-bases on the street. Hair stylist, not getting my good review. I specifically stated what I wanted done. I thought she understood since she did not say anything to me other than saying she can do what I had said. My hair wasn't long but also wasn't short as well. My hair is somewhat full and thick. So certain hairstyle just won't work well with my hair volume and texture. So if you really know your hair, than you also would know what works and what doesn't even if you like those hollywood actresses hairstyle. I've learned that the hard way. Now hair stylist started cutting, and then stepped away and came back. After 10-20 minutes of cutting, I looked at my hair. The hair stylist tells me she wasn't quite done. At this point I still did not like to look. So I let her finished. The final outcome was so bad that all I can do was pay and go. That night I cried. Never again will I listen to ratings at yelp. I will do my own rating from now on. As far as to what happened next. The following day I started looking for another hair salon and not going by the yelp ratings. I found one. This hair stylist at this other salon in the san mateo county area, she wasn't that great but she did fix my hair a little better than how it was. So let's just say, I never went back to Beauty Fix Studio Salon. You and everyone else out there can make their own decision and ratings based on your own experience. read more
