His walking away(!) without acknowledging the end of my services was alarming. I assumed he placed my bill on the counter, so I made my way to the counter to settle the bill. This was when I noticed him moving on to another client. No "thank you". No "have a nice day". No "please make your way to the counter". Altogether, his unacceptable and unpalatable service and actions signaled that he requires additional training for frontline service. Otherwise, I must needs adjust my expectations for this busines... I am a regular customer and may return to Cayuga Nails, but will absolutely object if Kyle is assigned to me for future services. I rate the quality of his nail application as average.

Bridget is phenomenal and the price is beyond reasonable. Do yourself a favor and skip all the trouble by calling Studio B! She always used to do a great job and my hard gel nails always lasted at least 3-4 weeks with 0 lifting. The gel on my toes would literally never come off, it would grow out. I went exactly 2 weeks ago and they did a terrible job. I brought Jane my fresh virgin nails I had not had hard gel or polish on for 2 years, and not only did the shape come out poor, they're lifting and she left hot spots on just about EVERY SINGLE NAIL where she did the "cuticles". You can see very clearly now that they are grown out just how deep she cut my natural nails. I did my cuticles myself last night by hand (no drill), but I am genuinely afraid of how bad it's going to hurt to get a fill elsewhere. She also got up every 5 minutes to interact with other clients - VERY unprofessional. It took 3 hours for a hard gel manicure and gel pedicure. The pedicure guy did not care about quality whatsoever. I'm already missing gel polish on half my toes and he applied it lumpy which is unusual and disappointing. They also have questionable sanitizing practices. Many items they just rinsed off and put back where they picked them up. GROSS, infection waiting to happen. I paid $140 + $10 tip against my better judgement. If these are the OWNER's standards, that is all you need to know. This place has gone violently downhill. It used to be a delight to go see Jane and get quality service. I will never go back. 0/10 PLEASE AVOID this place and spend your money elsewhere!

I waited a couple of months for the bad dye job to grow out and then made an appointment with the owner of Shear Style, Joyce, based on good reviews online. Joyce gave me a super short, super cute pixie and figures one or two more haircuts and the bad dye job will just be a bad memory. I love the haircut and even like looking a little punk with the two tone pixie! Excellent service, clean and nicely decorated salon, reasonably priced. So happy to find my new go-to salon and hair cutter in Ithaca!
