I regret going back…read morethis time :( first- I'm very pregnant so I wanted to treat myself to a mani pedi before baby comes. Nail tech ended up making me bleed while doing my cuticles, and I bled A LOT. He had to apply pressure for several minutes to the cut he made on my cuticle/skin. Then he went to do a stone massage, I felt the water and told him it was much too hot. It was way hotter than it should have been. He looked at me and proceeded to pour the bowl of super hot water on both my legs and I even made a noise because it was so uncomfortable. He had me get out of the pedi chair myself, normally not a problem but I am 35 weeks pregnant. it took me a while to get out and he just stared at me the entire time. I even looked at him ready to ask him for a hand but he was really impatient with me. we do the mani and I asked for a simple French, regular polish. things are going better and then he cuts tooo deep on cuticle again and I bleed enough where he has to apply pressure with a small gauze. he did it again on another finger. My cuticles are very red on that hand now. then he doesn't finish the manicure and has someone else do it. this person finishes the manicure in record time but left me to dry at the manicure table for at least 30 mins with nothing drying my nails. eventually I had to ask if I should go over to the drying station instead and someone brings me over. everyone else around me gets a brief shoulder massage but they didn't do that for me. I thought OK they must be busy. I wait a little bit until I'm dry until I look at the time and realize I need to leave so I can eat because I'm starting to feel sick. It's been about 2 hours now (not so bad on a busy day maybe but because I didn't get gel or dip or anything I guess I thought it would be faster) get up and see that my heels are still wrapped in Saran Wrap with callus softener on them even though he finished my pedi!!!! At this point my hormones were starting to make me really emotional and I decided to leave without tipping (I paid a full $75 for the service) the manager chased me out and asked me why I didn't tip, so I told her everything. I've never felt the need to do something like that before. Within an hour of leaving, I not only chip some of the French tip off, my nail CRACKED! I am so disappointed and will have to figure out a way to fix it myself. wanted to do something relaxing before I give birth in a few weeks but it was anything but. :( I'm also feeling a lot of guilt, I've never had this bad of an experience there, and everyone else looked like they got a great service. my mother in law came with me and she was so happy, her tech was so nice and nails look amazing. At one point she was on a FaceTime call with a friend, after that ended she then started watching a movie on her phone as well. While she was doing my pedicure she was so entranced with her phone she literally scrubbed skin off my foot. I cannot even wear regular shoes right now because it hurts so much. While I did appreciate the time she took to make sure my nails were done nicely, I just can't look past leaving with a wound on my foot because she didn't care enough to pay attention. I'm just hoping I do not get an infection after I saw they clean their nail products and hot rocks with soap and water in the same sink we wash our nails in. There is also a dog caged in the back which just seems super unsanitary as well. Coming from OKC where the salons are significantly more strict about hygiene and their techs not being on their phones, it was just a bit shocking to see how this place is run.

While I learned the hard way that you do need to make an appointment vs walk in, it's so worth it! The owner is a badass in a great way. They are nice, friendly, reasonably priced and know what they are doing! I love coming here for my dip powder nails and pedicure. I also bring my daughter here from time to time for a mani/pedi. The second time, for my fill, I showed Kelly a long pink-to-white ombre design and asked for extra length. The length didn't happen, and I didn't say anything because I truly do not know the process and thought she was going to. The ombré didn't happen either, she did two or three coats of a light pink to give an illusion of an ombré? Because I guess the tips being thinner lets light pass and makes the tips look kinda like a pink to white ombré? I also told her clearly that I wanted the letter E on my ring fingers--regardless of there being no E in the photo. She still misunderstood, thinking the little light reflecting dots in the photo was somehow the design that I wanted. She did the dots to a total of 4 fingers and each of those times I specified I wanted an E and not what she was doing. She either didn't hear me each time somehow or does not know English that well. I was sitting in confusion and so was she apparently. So after that, I went home defeated because I didn't know how to be any clearer, told my mom, and we returned with a photo of a letter E from Pinterest. When I came back Kelly asked for the original photo again and pointed at the literal light reflection and said that I "should have told her" because that's what she thought I wanted. I apologized for not directly showing a photo of a letter E, but that I definitely DID tell her multiple times that there was no E in the photo, but that's what I would like. (Initial on a nail for significant others has been trending for many months so I didn't think to prepare a photo) She fixed it and I got my E, but was still unsatisfied because I spent 50 on a set I'm not that satisfied with, when I could've spent 15-25 bucks more and got the length and ombré I wanted aswell as the E. Despite the miscommunication, it is a cute salon and not as stressful as maybe diva nails or any place bigger.
