I sent Jennifer a picture of what I envisioned along with pictures of the venue, my dress, bridesmaid dresses, and invitation to give her a feel of the wedding. I wanted a natural look with a red lip. From the moment I opened the door, I knew she would add to the calm I was trying to create for my day. The trial was like catching up with a friend. She was extremely friendly and we just talked while she worked. She took the picture I brought and altered it to compliment my features. She nailed it on the first try. She was easy to get a hold of on the time between then and the wedding and accommodating as we kept changing who was getting their makeup done. She was early the day of and flexible with the order as we weren't exactly on top of who was in what order to get hair and makeup done. It was an added bonus that she liked my playlist and was singing along. Everyone's makeup looked amazing and she finished with time to spare. My makeup looked as good at the end of the night as the beginning. With the lashes package, you get one of her Almond Cosmetics color lip gloss that I used as a refresher during the night. In all of our planning leading up to the event, Erika put me at ease. There were many changes that occurred throughout the past few months, and Erika worked with me through them all. She & her team took care of me, my bridesmaids and my mother, as well as my mother-in-law & gave us EXACTLY what we needed to feel extra beautiful for the special day. I also love how good she was with the children- offering them a "fairy-dusting" which they were very excited about :-) It was nice being able to have all the space that is available in the Salon area at Viana Hotel and Spa - we had room for a lovely breakfast spread (complete with mimosas :-)) while comfortably getting our hair and makeup done, and enough of a seating area to comfortably wait/ rotate chairs for makeup and hair. Erika did her best to ensure that we stayed focused on task and try to keep with our schedule! I must mention how Erika did go ABOVE and BEYOND anything that I could have asked or expected- I'm so happy that we added the option of touch-ups, where she would meet us at the wedding venue to make sure we all looked good before the ceremony- while we were out taking off-site photos before the ceremony, we realized that we had not taken the ceremony items with us! I got in touch with Erika & she arranged to grab all of the items from my friend back at the hotel & she arrived at the venue before we did- all set up to immediately touch up our makeup - & with all the ceremony items on hand. We will be eternally grateful. Erika is a visionary, attentive to detail, passionate, well-prepared, and fiercely protective of your vision for your special day! I highly recommend the services provided by her & her team of hair and makeup artists at the Viana Hotel & Spa.
