The reviews did not disappoint! She asked me questions about the wedding, what dress I was wearing, and how I felt about a shade before she put it on. She wants you to feel comfortable and the makeup to look natural. She is very patient and kind. At one point, she told me to open my eyes and one of my eyes was red. She said she it was strange that only one eye turned red, since she applied the same exact eye shadow and liner to both eyes. Maybe some eye shadow particles fell in my eye, but I didn't feel anything. She was nervous, but she quickly reacted and got eye drops to apply to my eye. She stopped and waited for the eye drops to reduce the redness in my eyes. I had a hair appointment next door and she went over to inform the hair stylist that I was going to be late. It all turned out well and the redness in my eyes disappeared, thankfully! I would definitely come back again and have Sheila do my makeup again. Prices are fair and you really get great service.

That was so unexpected because at other salons I would have multiple people doing my hair due to double or triple booking and only have the main stylist check in every now and then. Lisa was patient and knew exactly what I wanted from my brief description. She did the cut in steps so I wouldn't be too shell shocked by the end result and asked for my feedback about layering. Most people who hear the words "I haven't gotten a haircut in a while" immediately want to push a full chop onto their client, but Lisa evaluated my hair and suggested we keep the length and even out the ends/cut off all the dead hair. She gave me a bunch of tips about maintaining my hair's health so I can get it to the next stage that I want (eventual bleach). And on top of that, the cut was extremely affordable!!! The appointment was at 11, she was only able to take me at 11:30. She double booked her appointments. I asked for Hollywood waves. As Anna was teasing my hair she kept ripping it off ignoring my screams and begging to be careful. 3 days later after the hair style my hair still continues to break and to fall off from pulling. The waves only held for one hour so by the time I got to the wedding my hair was completely straight ($120 down the drain) . In addition, she was sneezing and sniffling right over my head. I haven't tried any other stylists at Opia (and I definitely won't come back to try) but stay from Anna at all costs. She is sadist!
