She took my requests into consideration and gave her own expert opinion on them (for instance, telling me that the slightly wavy hairstyle I wanted wouldn't last the entire night). She was very pleasant the entire time and kept a nice conversation going with umy mom. She isn't very good at English though (we communicated in Mandarin Chinese). Cost me $100+tip, which is cheaper than a lot of bridal places I called but probably more expensive than just a regular salon.

The makeup looked wonderful and was just as perfect at 10PM as it was at 10AM that morning (except for the lipstick of course). It looked just as lovely in person as it did in pictures and many people commented on my makeup when they saw the wedding photos. They will ask you for inspiration so look at Instagram or PInterest for ideas prior to hopping in the chair. Lianne listened to me when I said what I wanted. She also gave me false eyelashes which I typically HATE but these were put on individually and were sooo comfortable. They felt like my real lashes and I never wanted to take them off. Stephen did a kick ass job on my hair. My hair is naturally pin straight and he manged to give me curls and an updo that stood the test of time. He even gave me extra spray and additional pins when it started to come loose right before we left for the ceremony. Sabrina did a wonderful job on my friend (the bride) and made her look like a princess. I also like that they use airbrush for foundation since it feels so nice being sprayed on your skin. I would totally use them if I had an event coming up where I needed hair and makeup done. My only issue was my skin broke out badly (which it never does) a day after the wedding. It could've just been my skin hating wearing more makeup than usual but who knows. They still do a great job and everyone kept saying how beautiful we looked. Plus they're fun, too :)

When she showed up at my apartment in September, armed with 2 cases of makeup, she knew exactly what I wanted when all that I said was that I wanted to "look like me, but polished." She is the only person to ever do my makeup and get that - my freckles weren't hidden. She used natural colors and I loved it. Truth be told, I was nervous having my trial 4.5 months in advance. I took pictures of myself from all angles just in case. Well, my wedding day came and Christina, bless her, showed up at my hotel room at 6AM. In Brooklyn. The weekend of the blizzard. She got started with my bridesmaids and made them look gorgeous. They still can't stop talking about how great her work was. When she did my face, I didn't have to reference my pictures at all. She remembered how I wanted to look. She did an amazing job with my face. The edges were seamless so I had no "makeup mask" going on. My freckles show up in my pictures. She even used my own lip color (in fact, she even gave one of my bridesmaids the lipstick she had used on her). My face looked great all day long. Even when we ended the afterparty at 10pm. I cannot recommend Christina enough. If I ever need makeup done again, I will be sure to give her a call.
