Benedict crab cake
Brianna M.

Went for a quick brunch with my friend and got the crab cake Benedict and an orange juice my friend got a salad. My Benedict was excellent would go back just for that! The staff was attentive and ambiance was good not too busy and went well!

We were seated promptly (we had a reso though) at a nicely shaded table were we could enjoy the beautiful midday weather. Our server, a super friendly guy, was attentive and accommodating. We ordered two breakfast burritos and the coast which was scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes and a slice of the yummy brioche style French toast. We had a couple cappuccinos and our friend had a bloody Mary, we all commented that it was quite delicious! Will definitely return next time. We are in La Jolla/Bird Rock.

Carnitas Benedict

Beaumont's in La Jolla was such a vibe. I ordered the Carnitas Benedict, chilaquiles, and Beef Barbacoa empanadas and everything tasted incredibly fresh and packed with flavor - definitely recommend if you're a savory brunch lover. The location is super nice with parking nearby and a cute alley just a short walk away, perfect for a little post-meal stroll. It wasn't busy when I went, and while the service was a bit slow, the food absolutely made up for it. They were also setting up for a wine and paint event, which looked like it would be such a fun experience. Overall, a great spot to check out in La Jolla!

I'd give this place a 3.5 if possible. Great location in La Jolla & not terrible parking. I came tonight with a group. The host stand area was pretty awkward as there wasn't a proper spot to wait while the table was getting set up. Everywhere I stood felt in the way of staff. I got mistaken as the host due to where I was trying to stand. Anyways, there's decent indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has variety but only a couple vegetarian options. I wish there were more. I ordered the vegetarian burger with fries. It had good crunch but overall it lacked flavor such as acid or more sauce. It felt bland. Service was standard. Nice to try once but wouldn't necessarily come again.

My friends and family hosted my bridal shower at Beaumonts and I just wanted to say how kind, attentive, and wonderful the staff was there. The tables were ready to decorate when we arrived, the food and drinks were delicious, and everyone really had a great time. Thank you so much for making this a truly memorable day - already looking forward to coming back for another brunch!

Beaumont's has an amazing happy hour (even on the weekends). $7 cocktails, $5 beers and tons of delicious food to choose from without breaking the bank. I had the orange sangria which was very refreshing for a summer afternoon. The lettuce wraps and wings were a hit. I absolutely loved sitting outside on a beautiful day in bird rock. We truly live in paradise.

Beaumont's Eatery is such a fun spot and one of my favorite places in Bird Rock. The atmosphere is always great, they have amazing live music on the weekends, and I love that they support local artists and musicians. It has that perfect neighborhood feel where you can go for dinner, drinks, music, and always run into good people. And the service is a huge part of what makes it so special. Jerry has honestly been one of my favorite servers for years. He's been at Beaumont's for over 10 years, and he's always one of those familiar smiling faces you're happy to see when you walk in. He's friendly, attentive, hardworking, and just genuinely great with people. Mike is also amazing and always makes the bar experience fun. His knowledge of tequila is seriously impressive, and you can tell he really enjoys sharing recommendations and helping people find something they'll love. Whether you know tequila well or are trying something new, he always makes it approachable and enjoyable. The whole team at Beaumont's is wonderful, but Jerry and Mike are definitely highlights. They're a big part of what keeps people coming back.

Came here for a date nite Friday night with my husband and another couple. We had a 7pm reservation. Took them a little bit to seat us since we wanted to sit inside. Good atmosphere. Service was fine. Food was good not great. Very small portions. We ordered 5 appetizers to share. Sweet heat Brussels, beef Barbacoa empanadas, Thai meatballs and the carnitas lettuce wraps. 3 meatballs in an order! $18 and $19 each. Crazy. They were a little dry but the Thai sauce was good. We each ordered 2 rounds of cocktails then shared two entrees. The crispy salmon ($36) and the chicken curry bowl. Entertainment started at 9pm. Band was good. Our bill was almost $278!!! Yikes.

Really loved their happy hour drinks and chips and guac. Def will be back here, their passion fruit margarita was so good! Service was really excellent too

Breakfast Tacos

A friend and I can after a workout for breakfast, it was okay. We got the breakfast tacos, kind of just picked at them. The potatoes were good. I had a good Bloody Mary. Service was good and attentive. I liked sitting outside on a beautiful day.

Beaumonts is a nice little neighborhood spot that is much needed in bird rock. The service is always on point, and one of its strengths. The food is good not great, but the miso ricotta is true showstopper. Definitely a great option for groups in bird rock.

You walk downstairs and suddenly feel like you've been transported into a bar inside a funky 70s van. Such a cool concept and completely different vibe from the rooftop. The kicker was how terrible the service was. - our waitress had a lot of attitude in the beginning, rolling her eyes and not being responsive, and rarely checked on us after taking our food orders - entrees came a long time before apps, and dinner was served without silverware - entrees were placed at the corner of the table instead of served to each individual person, and while moving our plates food spilled everywhere and no one cleaned it up - no water refills. When we did ask for water, the waitress brought us the carafe and immediately walked away even though all of our cups were empty/needed filling - our empty plates stayed on our table for an hour and only got cleaned up when we asked - someone said they would be right back to come wipe the dirty table after they took our plates, and never came back - it was a birthday outing and they did comp our dessert, but it didn't come with a candle or anything. They brought 1 spoon and no sharing plates, even though there were 3 of us. When we asked for extra spoons they brought out packaged plastic utensils ??? - a lot of young and rowdy patrons, just to keep in mind the ambiance Genuinely shocking experience. Please do better!

We walked up to the hostess stand and were seated by the window. Gayla was our server. She was friendly and attentive. The frozen drink machines were unfortunately down, so we ordered a couple beers and cocktails. I started off with the Rose Water which is a lychee martini. It was a stiff cocktail but really tasty. We ordered the lemon pepper wings and a peanut butter fudge pie slice to eat. The wings were meaty and full of flavor. The pie was so good but really sweet. Gayla regularly checked in on us but also allowed us to just hang out and enjoy the view which was nice. We never felt rushed. Service was good and the staff were friendly. We went on a Tuesday and they offered drink and food specials. I ordered the seafood pasta along with a mezcal and Mexican candy shot. Unfortunately, the pasta was very underwhelming. There was a good amount of seafood in it and the sauce ratio was perfect, but it lacked so much flavor. I tried adding salt and pepper, but it just didn't fix the problem. In speaking to my colleagues, the majority of them said their food lacked flavor as well. The food definitely has potential.

As I understand it, Moray's is the outside/patio dining portion, while Oceana is the indoor fine-dining situation. I believe they pretty much have very similar menus, with Oceana having some additional high-end offerings. Came out to Moray's to visit my cousin who was in town for work. Since my cousin now has her most adorable infant, she wanted to keep it simple and dine at the hotel restaurant, which was fine by me. While I waited for them to come down from their room, I got us a patio table and ordered a delicious $10 draft. Mixed drinks were all hovering around $19 each. The server was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which I greatly appreciated. I went with the reasonably priced Steak Frites, $36, which was to stated to come with Muenster cheese and caramelized onions on top, and served with a side chimichurri. While the steak was wonderfully cooked to a solid med. rare as requested, it seemingly had very little flavor. Perhaps had it not been covered with a wealth of some DEEPLY caramelized onions and an abundance of Muenster cheese, I might have been able to taste the seasonings and/or the beef. While I love some deeply caramelized onions on a salt-laden burger, the extent to which these were caramelized left them seeming soggy and too sweet for the steak pairing. Add in the several slices of melted Muenster cheese on top, and flavourwise I could hardly tell I was eating a steak. Ultimately, the abundance of toppings overwhelmed the steak. The accompanying chimichurri was also a little strange. While I appreciate that it was diced and not blended, it was very heavy on the oil, while very light on the herbs. The frites were nicely salted and good on their own, however a decent amount became soggy from being under the steak. The burger on the other hand looked excellent. My cousin devoured his in what seemed like a split second. I could have went for the burger, however at $27 I perceived the $36 steak frites to be of a better value. Again, shout out to our server. They were on-point! Thanks Moray's!

The food was great, but the hospitality was what really stood out. Our waiter, Quinten, was incredibly kind and went completely above and beyond for our family. When we mentioned that our son loves fire trucks, he actually ran over to the local firehouse to see if they might be willing to let us come by and see the trucks. They said yes -- and it turned into such a special and unexpected part of our day. That kind of kindness means so much, especially during a trip that already carries a lot of emotion for our family. Quinten didn't have to do any of that, but he took the time to make our son feel special. Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and truly top-notch hospitality.
