They called and told me that I needed a replacement evaporator coil and that was behind the dashboard and that would be $2000. I was hesitant and really needed help from family if I was going to pay that. We agreed to it, because, Florida gets hot. Believe me I get it, but I have to question going in there for the first time and this happens. I've been screwed over too many times with my cars to trust anyone. While I do appreciate that they were that thorough if that really needed to be done, and now I have a working AC. There's scratches on my stereo/GPS screen that I know were not there before I took it in. That could however be bad memory but I know I didn't do it.

This…read moreis an exceptionally clean and orderly facility managed by equally exceptionally courteous, knowledgeable and professional people. I was referred to them by the (very good) shop I usually use who had declined to take on the needed A/C repair due to the apparent complexity of the issue. I send a request for the repair to North Florida Garage with a description of the nature of the problem via their online form at about 17:00 and immediately received a call from Jeff well before 18:00 (their closing time). He asked only of my license plate number to research what parts would be potentially needed for the repair, and I received a call from him next morning. I brought my 2007 Acura TSX to their shop the same day at noon and explained the history of the problem to Jeff in details, of which he did not miss a word. The next morning Jeff called me to tell that they could indeed to the repair with all the needed price and quoted the cost (reasonable in my estimate), to which I agreed. The repair job was completely done the next day well before closing despite the nasty problem that needed extensive and time-consuming disassemble/reassemble procedure both in the cabin and engine bay, followed by the recharging of the A/C system. While picking the car up, I was given a detailed explanation of everything that had been done, for which reason, and how - all of which, by the way, was also included in the invoice, replete with the depiction of the problem as I presented it and their description thereof. Their price I ended up paying, both for the parts and labor, was totally fair and more than justified by the quality of the job, and in line with the price Jeff had quoted. Based on this experience, I won't hesitate to recommend North Florida Garage to anyone for any kind of automotive repair (in fact, I already have) - and certainly won't hesitate to use their services in the future of any of the four cars I currently own.     I had a good overall experience here after a vehicle breakdown, which is never a fun time…read more I used AAA to have my high-mileage crossover SUV towed on a Friday night after the steering locked up and the vehicle wouldn't start. I suspected the alternator due to those and other issues. This RPM Automotive (owned by Pep Boys) was nearby and listed on the AAA site, so I went with it -- and had had an OK experience at this location many years ago. I called that Friday night and left a message explaining what had happened and what I'd noticed. The next morning (a Saturday morning), I got an automated text with a link to a site saying that someone had been assigned to begin servicing my vehicle. I still hadn't heard anything by that afternoon, so I gave the shop a call. The man who answered the phone told me that no one would be working on my vehicle until Monday, which I sort of understood but would have appreciated being told about. Monday rolled around, and before 8 AM, I got a text inviting me to go to a website and view my vehicle inspection report. I looked it over and saw that the alternator was listed as the issue and also observing that I had a caution light on my dashboard on (which I knew about but am glad to see was observed). However, a few things that I knew were minor existing issues with my vehicle weren't mentioned, and I'd have expected them to come up on any report. But again, they were minor. I didn't see any updates or receive a phone call for a couple hours, so I called the shop. Someone answered the phone and I explained I was looking to see if an update and quote were available for my vehicle. He put me on hold and another man picked up. That man asked why I was calling, I explained, and then he was silent for about 15 seconds. He then asked rather rudely if I had even brought my car in yet, to which I paused for a moment because I couldn't figure out how the response to "My car was diagnosed with an alternator issue there this morning, so I'm calling to find out when it'll be ready and what the cost estimate is" was "Well, is your car here?" And I'm always a bit concerned when someone who has my car doesn't know that they have my car, y'know? Anyway, he paused again and eventually told me that the inspection wasn't even done yet and that someone would call me. So I thanked him and hung up. About 45 minutes later, I got a call from a lovely woman who discussed the vehicle inspection findings, gave me the price, and told me my car would be ready that day. She proactively noted that I'd be getting a discount as a AAA member, too -- huge points to any business that gives the discounts they claim without you having to ask for it. I got a text three hours later that my vehicle was ready (earlier than expected, yay!) and went to pick it up a bit after that. The gentleman at the front desk was also friendly, and payment was quick and simple. The price wasn't cheap, but as someone who always researches the upper and lower ranges for automotive parts and labor, I found the cost to be smack dab in the middle of those two ends, which I was OK with. My vehicle is running without any of the major issues I encountered, I don't feel like I was lied to or take advantage of, and there was no attempt to add in unnecessary stuff. Outside of a few missed communication opportunities and one unpleasant phone call, things were nice, smooth, and fast, leaving me to have RPM Automotive on my list of shops I'll consider in the future.

I tried to use my AAA discount that I called before and he said he would take. When I got there he wouldn't take it. He charged me more than was quoted. BAD EXPERIENCE.

I had to used a four-way tire iron and a piece of pipe for leverage to break them loose that's how tight they were and that's ridiculous. So let me tell you the whole story. The whole story is that I went in there to get tires on my truck and got home to find that they left one of my center cap off my vehicles rim and vowel stem cap, which was aftermarket nice chrome ones. I called them when I realized and they told me they would look for them and have a manager get back in touch with me. No one ever got back with me within the next week so I drove back up there to speak with the manager and of course he wasn't there and the employee at the front desk pretended to look around for my parts and then said that they could not find my parts and they would have a manager get back in touch with me tomorrow morning we he gets inn. No one ever got back in touch with me. I took it up on myself and bought my own center cap for $30 and put a valve stem cover on and just forgot about it until today when I had the flat tire and couldn't break the lug nuts loose and had to use a pipe to get them loose. This is the type of business these people do, they won't get back to the customers when they screwed her vehicles up nor did they do the job right the first time. I definitely do not and will not do business with them again, there are too many tire shops out there to have to put up with this crap!

I met Mr. Yurity Dekalskyy, Service Manager. He started service order ticket for a new tire. This was the second nail in the same tire, so I opted to be safe and just get a new tire. He gave me several options of tires. Then Ernie and I went to go jack my car up and take the tire off. We went back to GoodYear. They changed out the tire. The work crew and everyone was so fast and helpful. Pros:they were open on a holiday for emergencies. Nice people. Coffee was enjoyed in the waiting room. Clean bathroom and store.     My husband has used this garage several times in the past. When we were told by the dealership it…read morewould cost $1000 to replace and flush thermostat my husband checked with them and they were $375. So he took the Kia in and they did the work, as they took it for the final test drive..the motor locked up! This is bad but they looked up our car-make and model- and reasons for this which could have been an extended warranty issue. This impressed me the most they did this and called a Kia dealership too. Once we tried to figure this out we too contacted, had towed the car to closer dealership and in fact the issue is covered by the extended warranty on the car. I would not hesitate to take my car to them again!
