Beau Thai is one of my most consistent, late-night delivery order options in Portland. They're excellent about following instructions & labeling their food containers accordingly. I've never had a known hiccup in over a decade of patronage. The portions are the largest I've come across for Thai food in the city, the prices are below average, & I appreciate how vegan-friendly they are. read more

As a Night Shift nurse finding this place was such a Gem for me. I ordered a couple things from here through DoorDash. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. I don't really like Thai food that much but this place changed my mind. I got the pad Thai, the Tom Yum soup, and the eggplant with chicken. Every single dish was full of flavor and so delicious I would have to say this is the best Thai food Ive had out here in Portland, and as a Night Shift worker, I can't thank them enough for being open late night. read more

This was a spot I had never tried , realizing I couldn't be particular about what was available at 2:00 in the morning, and went Finally gave this place a try after noticing no recent reviews in the past 8+ months--here's my quick take: * Tom Yum: Good flavor, though not exactly the version I'm always chasing. Still solid. * Tod Mun (Fish Cakes): Delicious, especially with the side sauces. I've had better elsewhere, but these still hit the spot. * Red Curry: The standout of the meal. Creamy, just the right amount of spice, and perfect for a late-night craving. If I'm ever in need of a late-night Thai fix again, I'll definitely be ordering from here. read more

Beau Thai Restaurant - Red curry was a hit. - Thai Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Very tasty food with good portion sizes. I like their vegetarian options. I wish I could opt out of baby corn via delivery.

I already drunken noodles and the pot stickers. The noodles were super sweet. The vegetables were cooked great and the noodles were cooked well. I'm writing this review because the noodles were super sweet and I like sugar but this was too much. My biggest concern was that they were only two stalks of broccoli about six slices of carrots and a little bit of red pepper. So I don't feel like it was worth the $14. I will order again because they're open late night which is really great. But on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give the food a five read more

I've never been so disappointed in a Thai restaurant, to where my soul literally cried. I've tried this place twice and it's an overall miss for me. I get it they are one of the restaurant that remains open late HOWEVER, foodies as myself notice when you throw noodles in a microwave to reheat. My entire order last night was so pitiful. Luckily doordash refund me on this order. read more

How?! And WHY?! Is all I can seem to ask myself...... After nearly 20 years of patronage how tf did I miss out on writing a review for this old Portland staple (and honestly at this point more like an old family friend). Where most restaurants ended up shuttering and then raising prices beyond belief - Beau Thai has managed to provide a consistently affordable oasis, delivering heavy hitting flavors. Beau Thai existed in a world pre-pandemic and pre-mainstream food delivery options - Every step of the way the business adapted, revolutionized and stayed true to who they are. Hands down tasty food no matter what you order or how you order. Generous portions, affordable prices and smiles on employee faces whether it's 11am or 11pm. Thank you for all the amazing years of food Beau Thai! I love, respect and appreciate the joy you spread through your food. Please don't ever change or go away because you're a remarkable part of what makes food great here! read more

Beau Thai is a great Thai Restaurant located on Northwest 21st. I had a GrubHub gift card so I ordered takeout yellow curry and sticky rice through that platform. I didn't realize the curry already came with jasmine rice so I ended it up having two containers of rice. I ordered it hot spice level. For me, it was a medium. The curry was delicious. I was happy with the amount of potato, carrots, and pork in it. Both types of rice were good. I'll be back here for more Thai dishes soon. read more

Best best best best best I love it so much the food amazing the service is fantastic I go here all the time

First time ever using GrubHub and I chose Beau Thai and wasn't disappointed. The rice paper salad wraps with the peanut sauce were a bit Vietnamese, but I love those, so it was okay. They were delicious. The basil fried rice I ordered "hot" and hot it was, but not lacking in delicious flavor. I ate it all like a glutton. The tom yum soup was good, but tasted like it was just made from a pre-made paste and was slightly watery. read more

Delicious! The highest quality late night Pad See Ew I've ever tried. When all the other Thai restaurants are closed and you still have an aching for some delicious chicken pad see ew.. this is your place! read more

Pretty average Portland Thai food, and would have gotten 4 stars if it weren't for all the meat being extremely over-cooked. Ordered pad se ew w/ pork, pad Thai w/ prawns, and BBQ pork Thai fried rice. The pork and prawns were basically leather. BBQ pork was fine but it's pretty hard to mess up a pre-cooked loaf of meat that just gets sliced and tossed into the stir fry. The apples in the rice were cubed rather than sliced... seemed like an odd choice; regardless, they added a nice flavor. The pad Thai came with a side of peanut sauce which was a nice surprise. I had ordered an extra side of it since I was so used to never getting it for free. Also ordered a Thai iced tea which was almost entirely condensed milk, but still good. I guess if I worked downtown, I'd get the fried rice here once in a while, but the food quality is not worth paying delivery fees. One edit I had to make: they're open later that most other places in downtown Portland which is a big plus. I don't blame any business for closing up early with how the city is these days, but late night options are few and far between! read more

Ordered the pumpkin curry, sautay chicken and the wonton soup. The curry was not great but okay, but the chicken was over cooked and dry and the soup was really fishy. The wontons in the soup were really over cooked and falling apart and it said that it had bbq prom in the description but instead there's some sort f strange fried meat that is gross. I found this restaurant on Grubhub. I normally don't order through there because I'm certain the business owners are not receiving their fair share. But it was one of those days that I knew I needed someone else to provide me nourishment. Beau Thai is farther than I would have traveled for food if I was picking it up myself. But Grubhub doesn't give you the option to filter by distance. So I didn't realize and I went down a rabbit hole of looking at the menu and yelp reviews and I was too committed before I realized the distance. I am so glad I didn't give up on this order! I opted for a few different things, which was a delight. There was a combo that came with soup and rice, I also grabbed crab rangoons and an order of Rad Nar noodles. Everything was delicious! My one thing that could have made everything better, there needs to be a way to ventilate the crispy items so they don't get soggy from condensation. It wasn't a huge deal, I just popped those items in the oven for a few minutes but having that would maintain crispiness and really made this perfect. I look forward to ordering again! read more

I order Pad Thai, Tom Kha, potstickers and mango sticky rice Everything was horrible except for the Tom Kha. The Pad Thai was mush and tasted like they just cooked it with sweetener the Pad Thai lacked cilantro, lime, chili, tamarind. Pretty much everything that makes a Pad Thai taste good. The potstickers were bland and the mangos were not even ripe for the mango sticky rice. I will not be returning here. read more

I actually LOVED this place and despite the yelp reviews, I had a great experience and didn't think anything bad of the dish I got. I had the vegan pad Thai and it came with lots of vegetables (lots of bang for your buck). The noodle was flavorful and the presentation was spot on. Well done Beau Thai read more

I ordered a panang curry chicken dish with brown rice via Grub Hub. I chose Beau Thai because they delivered later than other restaurants. I loved that brown rice was an option, but disappointed that they also sent white rice-such a waste!. I selected spice level of medium. Because of being able to mix it with the brown rice as well as having the Thai iced tea to drink, the spice level worked for me. I enjoyed it. I'll order from them again in the future. read more

Tired after a late night, I decided to order for delivery from here. The food arrived quickly after calling the restaurant to confirm they received the order via yelp's eat24 system. Instead of taking up to an hour like the email stated, I received my food within 30 minutes. Here's what I ordered: Pot stickers - Very crispy and full, yum! Egg rolls - Not bad. These were a bit chewy, but this is possibly due to the fact the egg rolls were delivered. I have had crispier egg rolls before from other delivery places. Chicken noodle soup - A bit bland. I bought this because it's cheap and needed to meet a minimum order. The noodles barely fit inside the container given, and I used the paper takeout containers as placemats. Tom yum soup - I ordered medium spice, and this was SO SPICY!!! I am no stranger to Thai food and have ordered from other Thai places before, so I can handle spice. However, this was so spicy, I couldn't taste the actual food, and I have never been a fan of this in any cuisine. There is a way to make food spicy but enjoyable. Overall I gave three stars because the soups could have been better. It's interesting how the chicken noodle soup was tasteless but the tom yum soup had so much flavor you couldn't taste anything. A happy medium is needed! Pot stickers, half order $3.50 Fried spring rolls, half order $2.75 Tom yum soup, half order $6 Chicken noodle soup, half order $5.50 Delivery charge $3.50 Total $21.25 read more

Fan of the curry green curry fried rice with tofu. Ordered it late night last couple times I've stayed in Portland and it's consistently fresh and flavorful and still hot even after being delivered. Ordered it mild though and it is extremely overly spicy to be labeled mild. Both times. Not sure how to specify I don't want as spicy since that's their lowest spice option. Also apparently you have to ask for silverware in your delivery or it just isn't included. Was annoying finding that out when all I had in my hotel room was a coffee ground scooper in the rooms coffee maker read more

We usually order postmates from Beau Thai and it never disappoints. The spicy is genuinely spicy and the medium is spicy! We love to order the tom yum soup and the pad thai is massive! Went back and forth if it was worth writing a review for this place, but I think so. I ordered from this place once from Uber eats and I thought it really yummy Pad See Ewe so when I walked past it tonight after a movie, I was really excited to grab some food. Instead I was met with disrespect. Before going inside while looking at the menu I saw staff at the front counter. I looked over the menu for a few, and decided to order. When we went inside there were staff to be found. My gf and I stood in the restaurant for about good 10 minutes waiting. We could hear the staff talking in the back. We continued to wait and talk. Finally I said loudly "hello. Hello" twice. One woman came out, looked at me turned around and said something in Thai to a younger woman. I am assuming she told her to handle my order. The younger woman came up to the counter and asked what I wanted. Didn't apologize for the wait. Now, this is when things get messed up. I'm ordering my food and the woman pretends that she doesn't understand me. I find that hard to believe since the place is located in NW Portland, where it doesn't seem people are shifting the way they speak to place orders. After she "heard" me the second time, I proceed to ask her "did you all hear us back there? We were standing here for a while." She then proceeded to pretend that she could not understand me (twice!), but when I told her to forget it she said "ok," and was going to continue my order. I informed her that I wanted to cancel my order. She said "ok," Like she could careless about me wanting to place my order. It was rude I couldn't believe it. The part that gets me is as I was heading out, a man was talking to her (very fast, I might add and I'm sure you can guess what race he was not) in perfect English and she seemed to understand him just fine. It is incredibly disappointing and disheartening that black folks can't order food in Portland without having to deal with micro aggressions and anti-blackness. And I will say this, due to the other reviews perhaps they are just shitty with customer service, but it just hit me wrong that she seemed to understand the other dude with no issues, but was "struggling" to hear me ask for Pad Ginger, and that they let us stand there for 10-minutes. read more

I love this place, and I am grateful I live near it. I mostly eat their curries and fried rice dishes, but there is so much variety on their menu that I'm excited to explore. The dishes I would like to highlight are the CURRY FRIED RICE and CRISPY PORK FRIED RICE. Curry FR is a very high fidelity dish that maintains everything one loves about a curry, it is spicy and aromatic but it also is a solid fried rice. Crispy Pork fried rice is my guilty pleasure and they are very generous with the serving of pork they give you. I cannot emphasize that enough and perhaps its one of the best parts of this place. Not only are the inclusions generous, the portions are good, as well. For the price, I can stretch a dish out from lunch to dinner and still be just as full and happy. read more

This review is from a dine-in experience we had here. Very slow dine-in service. only 3 tables were here, we were the second table and the first table had already been served. Waited about 15 minutes for the order to be taken, then another 30 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. Food arrived about 2 minutes after the appetizer. Meanwhile takeout was flying out of here, delivery people coming and going all the time. The kitchen process is clearly focused on the take-out, not dine in crowd. Food was served warm and sufficient quantities. Good price, but not particularly good Thai food. The chicken had clearly been cooked in a large batch earlier (dry and not seasoned for my dish, Thai chicken basil). The veggies in this dish (peas & carrots in particular) seemed to have come from a frozen mixed veggies bag and thrown in sort of last minute. My wife's Pad Thai was acceptable at best. The environment is old and dingy, which is fine, but table and floor was kinda sticky. The music was loud and obnoxious, not even Thai cultural. Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy playing on the big screen over the seating area didn't help. read more

I tried to give this place another chance. I ordered different dish from last time. My honey BBQ chicken was burn. The chef covered that by peeling off the chicken skin. :( Disappointing. Plus, the restaurant staff is not helpful and not flexible. There are many open tables in the restaurant, but the server push all their guests in one side and all tables are pretty close! i can reach my arms out and touch other table. I asked to change table so me and my friend can feel comfortable and have our conversation (because we can hear other people talking and loudly). The staff refused to let us change even tho there are so MANY open tables. I can't understand this place. read more

A couple of nights ago, I had a mad craving for Thai food. So I started browsing through Yelp for a good Thai place that was within walking distance of our hotel. Unfortunately, it was 9:30pm so my options were limited. I came across this place and was hesitant because of the reviews, but again, with limited options, I decided to take a chance. So glad I did because I ordered the Yum Woon Sen, and it was one of the best I have ever had! Very flavorful and fresh. The Tom Kha soup and eggrolls were delicious as well! read more

I also should have read the reviews before ordering from DD... worst pad kee mao (pad kee mow) I have ever had. I ordered medium spicy and what I got was sweet (probably from carrots, which works in the curry, but not so much in PKM). Totally skimped on fish and soy sauce. No flavor. Like another person said, "in a town full of Thai restaurant competition, I'm shocked they didn't even try". Green curry had a weird flavor, too much bamboo not enough chicken. Thai tea also had an off flavor... I don't know what's up with this place. read more

Spring Rolls are more rice wraps than substance. Every 8 of the ones I ordered look like a large sock on a baby foot and barely stayed rolled. And the chicken was unseasoned and bland. I am casting all the judgment if you cannot make a proper spring roll at a Thai restaurant. For reference I ordered Pad Thai and spring rolls. Pad Thai was meh... food cart quality. read more

Ordered delivery for the first time and will not order from here again. Terrible food. It's obvious they use frozen veggies - the Thai basil fried rice had Lima beans and corn!! These are not veggies that go in Thai food!! The Salmon Panang curry was packed badly and spilled between the tin foil used to contain it, barely any curry could be salvaged. The green beans were rubbery and tasted like they frozen, thawed in a microwave and thrown in the curry. Ordered delivery for the first time and will not order from here again. Terrible food. We ordered the Pad Kee Mov and the Drunken noodles (see photo), both with tofu. They are essentially stir-fried flat rice noodles. You do get to choose the spice level. We asked for them to make it hot and hot it was! But not the keep-gulping-down-water kind of hotness but just plain tasty hotness! Also liked the texture of the rice noodles. The only thing mild on our table was the Sake! Perhaps, a little too diluted... Anyway, the place has a nice ambiance, clean and tidy. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Checks all the boxes, can't ask for more. read more

Average... which is weird in Portland. We were there for lunch and got the Pad Thai and the Pad Se ew. Both items were pretty spicy at a 3 or medium spice but not impossible to eat. I was really looking for the sweet and salty blend in the Pad Se Ew and also for that wonderful chargrilled flavor that you normally have. It was very very salty. Limited veggies and the chicken was extremely dry for that kind of saucy dish. Service was friendly, but poor. There were only 3 tables at lunch, and a few people waited for a bit and left because the host was no where to be seen. No no no. Just no. Oh HAY there. So, luckily in this metropolis of Portland, we seem to have an appreciation for Thai food. Or maybe it's just food. ANYWAY. This is not the place to get your Thai-fix on. I've tried it three times and third times wasn't a charm, it was....end of the road, my friends. Salad rolls, wtf? What was this in my mouth? It was a melody of bland horror and not-quite-ripe veggies. That's ok, it's just an appetizer. But - Pad Thai? You..can't make good pad thai? (Cliche statement coming forth...3....2.....1....) EPIC FAIL. I did not enjoy this pad thai at all. No spice, no flavor, just noodles faking my favorite Thai dish ever. So then I tried my second fav - Yellow Curry. NO. FAIL AGAIN. It makes me so sad. I really tried to like this place, I did. It's got such a cute name. But with places like Thai Peacock and E-san Thai, my thai-dedicated sheckles will be going elsewhere. read more
