PHONE: 901-385-3995 Bear with me because my praise is going to be fulsome! First, the people we dealt with (Don in Sales, Tony the Owner and one of the installers, Larry in the office, and Junior who did most of the installation) are ALL excellent individuals and representatives of this company. Don knows his doors and didn't try to "upsell" us at all - he got from us what we needed and wanted and then proceeded to give us a most reasonable quote - in fact, we were kind of shocked because we thought the total would be about 25% more than we paid - and scheduled us for installation sooner than expected. Second, these guys are "old world" in their approach to installing doors - like they are craftsmen from another era! Especially their newest cohort, Junior - I thought he'd been doing this for years; I learned today that he's just 6 or so months on the job and in this industry! Blows me away. Tony - the owner - is the same with 30+ years; and I imagine Larry is too with 35 years in this industry and having previously owned his own company is the same. Bottom line: they all know what they are doing, and they do it exceedingly well. Third - the quality of the product is TOP NOTCH. Not only does everything look attractive, but it's high quality - and, for a sense of security, that was very important to us. Here's the deal - if you are looking for any type of door for your home or business - Michael and I recommend that you contact American Door. In a world where customer service is often times lacking, where the quality of a job is many times not of the highest quality, where personnel have "attitude" and where it often "goes south on the customer", I am 100% convinced that you'll NEVER go wrong by doing business with the people at AMERICAN DOOR... Scratches were on the door and the panel was scared up. It did not look like it was worth the cost. The door came with a battery powered keypad and a key turn lock that had only one key that did not work with the lock. I went back and forth trying to reach Don, which was a waste of time because he didn't answer my phone calls and office personnel didn't answer but when I inquired about getting the door, responses were super fast and everyone was very pleasant. Don only started responding to me when I spoke to Bruce about him avoiding my calls. Don responded with nothing but excuses. We went back and forth for weeks about getting touch up paint and keys to fit the door and I still didn't get a remedy. I had the worst experience ever. I would caution anyone using The Window Source. What you pay for might not be what you get and there are extensive wait times. Customer service is not great. I will say Bruce was nice and empathetic. The good thing that came out of this ordeal was I got my money back after requesting it. Nothing could be disputed and Don knew the door and my experience were a flop and bad business.

Let me be clear, they in no way compensated me for this review that is about to be submitted…read more I placed an ad through Thumbtack for the creation of a door that was not necessarily done before. Due to space constraints, I wanted a pocket door, but didn't want to cut the wall, so I settled on a barn door, but wanted it split as to save space on either side. When I called Steve Miller, he said emphatically, "yeah, I think we can do that". He and Dave (one of his workers came) and after hearing my idea, you could tell the ideas were percolating. He came up with a great idea for the split barn door and gave me options of whether to go cheap or if I wanted it to be perfect what it would be (I chose the latter). To be honest, the price was well under what I thought it would be by many hundreds of dollars. I also asked about replacing the front door, of which he said was no problem. Steve guided me to the find the best wood people in town to make sure I got a quality product and made sure I got the best prices. All was set and done until I removed an embedded counter that showed broken tile and sheetrock underneath. No matter. . .Steve was able to fit that in as well. His tile guy, Nick, was phenomenal and was a true artist and professional in his work. They set the tile, fixed the grout, fixed the drywall and replaced the baseboards. It looks completely brand new. While doing this, they were able to install the new door, create the new split barn door (with Julie, who is an artist and visionary in her own right) leading the design of it. Even though I was a bad client (adding more jobs on top one right after the other), it was done better than when I bought the house. Steve is a great boss to his people. He treats them well, and more importantly, he respects and values their opinions and help. They revere him and it shows in the quality of work and efficiency of which the tasks were completed. More importantly, when you see their minds work (including Steve as the architect), it is like watching real artists work, not just laborers. They take great pride in their art and I am extremely happy with the products. When it was all completed, the price was not commensurate with the quality of work involved. He could have charged me a few hundred dollars more and it would have still been a value. Steve Miller and his crew are top professionals and I guarantee that anytime I need a project done, they are number one on the list. You will not go wrong hiring them and I can promise it will be an enjoyable experience for all.

We paid extra for laminated glass security door. Supposedly, it would be hard to break or crack a laminated glasses - that's what the salesman said. The door was installed Sept 2024. We saw a crack last week and immediately informed him. Thinking that it's the manufacturer flaw and maybe he could contact them for us. Unfortunately, that's not what we got. He claimed a rock must have hit it from mowing the grass. Giving him a benefit of doubt, I told my husband to remind him that it's LAMINATED glass, not the regular kind. Disappointed again, the salesman wants $800 for replacement. Didn't even want to stop by our house to take a look. We are 2 minutes drive from his office. For clarity, our front door is blocked with bricks on both sides. There is no grass in the front of the door for the rock to hit during mowing.

You can tell from the look and especially the feel that these are VERY sturdy and stylish doors.
