I had a terrible experience. I paid for a door in May 2025 costing $2850. The door was not…read morereceived until August 2025 and the company couldn't get the door installed until September 2025. I waited a lengthy time only for the door to have major imperfections. Scratches were on the door and the panel was scared up. It did not look like it was worth the cost. The door came with a battery powered keypad and a key turn lock that had only one key that did not work with the lock. I went back and forth trying to reach Don, which was a waste of time because he didn't answer my phone calls and office personnel didn't answer but when I inquired about getting the door, responses were super fast and everyone was very pleasant. Don only started responding to me when I spoke to Bruce about him avoiding my calls. Don responded with nothing but excuses. We went back and forth for weeks about getting touch up paint and keys to fit the door and I still didn't get a remedy. I had the worst experience ever. I would caution anyone using The Window Source. What you pay for might not be what you get and there are extensive wait times. Customer service is not great. I will say Bruce was nice and empathetic. The good thing that came out of this ordeal was I got my money back after requesting it. Nothing could be disputed and Don knew the door and my experience were a flop and bad business.

On Wednesday we got a call asking if we would be home at the time scheduled, which we said yes. Thursday three o'clock the person wasn't there. About 10 after my wife called and they said they were running behind (could have given us a courtesy call to let us know) , technician call with an attitude saying he was three minutes out. When he got there my wife had some new shoe covers she asked him to put on, as we do with anyone who comes to our home for estimates or to do work and they do with no questions asked. Technician said he had his own which he did, but he had been using the same ones all day, so my wife again asked if he would use the new ones, he refused and asked if it was a safety issue, my wife said no, but if he was not comfortable with the request maybe he should leave, so he said he felt uncomfortable and left. My wife called the office to speak to a supervisor and he answered the phone. I asked to speak with him to ask him what was the issue of using our shoe covers, and he said that well maybe we thought his pants or shirt might not be clean so he felt it would be better that he leave. I explained that people come to our home to do work and while doing the work their pants or shirt may get sweaty or dirty and that was not an issue, its just that walking around on different surfaces with your shoes you don't know what you're picking up on your feet, but if that's how you feel well ok. Others may have had good experiences with them, but we could not even get an estimate, I would not recommend them to anyone.

We are renting a house, and my husband recently threw a rock (with the lawn mower), at the side door which has a large, wood-latticed window in it and cracked it to pieces. To replace the door would have cost $1800, so I went in search of someone who could replace the double-paned window on Facebook. Glass Doctor had the highest reviews, so I sent a message not really expecting to hear back soon because it was late in the evening on a weekend. However, Barry responded to my inquiry almost immediately and we set up a time for him to come out and look at it. He came out the following Monday and was himself so joyful and sweet. He surveyed the damage and assessed the ability to replace the window and determined that it could be done. We were forewarned that it would be costly and difficult (which it was, but still cheaper than a new door). He ordered the window, which took about two weeks to come in, then scheduled a time for Jose to come out and fix it. Jose came to the house perfectly within the time frame given, and wearing a mask as I requested. He immediately got to work and, bless him, although he was sweltering in the summer heat he didn't even take a break. He was so very pleasant and polite and struck up a conversation with my husband about Italy and my husband even got to practice a little of his Italian. Bottom line, Jose essentially REBUILT the wood lattice on the door and reinstalled the window so well that you can not even tell anything ever happened. I'm beyond impressed by the professionalism, kindness and attentiveness of everyone with whom I dealt at Glass Doctor of Memphis and I can not recommend them highly enough. If you need complicated (or uncomplicated) glass work done, call Barry and ask for Jose!

I charged it to my credit card, however I never received a receipt or copy of the quote. The salesman did an excellent job. He said it would take 6 months to get our windows. Six months came and went and in the 8th month we finally heard from Andersen. We had a couple of conversations with their staff who were rude and unprofessional while trying to schedule our windows to be installed. The day they came out I had requested prior that they contact me at least a half an hour before so that I wouldn't waste my entire day waiting for them. Not only did they not call, but they arrived an hour late, with no apology, or consideration for my time. Their excuse when I asked was that they had some issue with getting their supplies in the truck to transport them. They installed the windows and overall the installation went well. However, the beautiful window that we had in the front of our home was replaced with almost a foot of black material taking away a considerable amount of the glass that we had previously because they claimed they had to use two windows to create the look that we previously had. So much for custom windows! I was furious and immediately contacted them and expressed that I hated the window and they needed to replace it. After many text and calls. they claimed that they were working on it. To date, we still have not heard back from them and this happened back in March. I also reached out to the CEO of the company, who I know received my email, but chose not to respond. I would never do business with this company again. We made an investment in our home and generous investment with Renewal by Andersen to the tune of over 20K and all they've done is ignore us and give us an eye sore window that has ruined our curb appeal, and aesthetic of our home.
