I felt bad for them and let them go ahead and install it (didn't even offer a discount on their mistake by the way) Wow, I made a big mistake! Not only has the glass warped over the past year, but the door latch broke a few months after they installed the door. They replaced it. I called again because it had broken again and was rudely told that my warranty had been out for two weeks and they would charge me almost $200 to replace a five dollar latch. You would think after spending $4000 and my aunt had recommended them and she had spent $10,000 on her doors, that they would come out and replace that latch for no charge since it was their faulty merchandise. The Customer Service is not there with Macklin doors. If I could do it all over again, I would have NEVER ordered from them! My aunt is appalled that I was treated in this way and we have both decided to never give a recommendation for this company and their doors again. Whomever is in charge of their customer service is doing a dismal job and they need to be let go. They were willing to lose us and others as customers over a cheap four dollar lock AFTER I had accepted the wrong door in order for them not to lose money!!! The glass will always warp and there's only a one year guarantee on that, the latches constantly break because they are using cheaper locks now to save themselves money. The chances of you getting the wrong door delivery is great. The Customer Service there is lacking in every aspect of what Customer Service should be!

We paid extra for laminated glass security door. Supposedly, it would be hard to break or crack a laminated glasses - that's what the salesman said. The door was installed Sept 2024. We saw a crack last week and immediately informed him. Thinking that it's the manufacturer flaw and maybe he could contact them for us. Unfortunately, that's not what we got. He claimed a rock must have hit it from mowing the grass. Giving him a benefit of doubt, I told my husband to remind him that it's LAMINATED glass, not the regular kind. Disappointed again, the salesman wants $800 for replacement. Didn't even want to stop by our house to take a look. We are 2 minutes drive from his office. For clarity, our front door is blocked with bricks on both sides. There is no grass in the front of the door for the rock to hit during mowing.

I had a terrible experience. I paid for a door in May 2025 costing $2850. The door was not…read morereceived until August 2025 and the company couldn't get the door installed until September 2025. I waited a lengthy time only for the door to have major imperfections. Scratches were on the door and the panel was scared up. It did not look like it was worth the cost. The door came with a battery powered keypad and a key turn lock that had only one key that did not work with the lock. I went back and forth trying to reach Don, which was a waste of time because he didn't answer my phone calls and office personnel didn't answer but when I inquired about getting the door, responses were super fast and everyone was very pleasant. Don only started responding to me when I spoke to Bruce about him avoiding my calls. Don responded with nothing but excuses. We went back and forth for weeks about getting touch up paint and keys to fit the door and I still didn't get a remedy. I had the worst experience ever. I would caution anyone using The Window Source. What you pay for might not be what you get and there are extensive wait times. Customer service is not great. I will say Bruce was nice and empathetic. The good thing that came out of this ordeal was I got my money back after requesting it. Nothing could be disputed and Don knew the door and my experience were a flop and bad business.

They first tried to glue it back together, but that wouldn't work because that was going to take some time to dry. They ordered another rear-view mirror from a parts store that did not fit as well. They had put that in place of my original rear-view mirror as temporary replacement. I was sitting in the waiting room when all this was happening. When he called me up to let me know my car was ready and to pay for the services that is when he told me what had happened. Saying they had a little hiccup, but he had taken care of that. He showed me my rear-view mirror which they had glued back together. He told he was going to keep my original rear view mirror until it dries. Then he wanted me to come back in two days, then he was going to put my original mirror back on. I told him, sir when I brought my car up here my rear-view mirror was not broken, I'm not going to accept that. At that point I was so frustrated with him. Then he tells me he is going to make it right by ordering me another rear-view mirror from Amazon. Now I have already paid this man for the service which I hate I did. I went back the next day, and he tries to put the original rear-view mirror back on there and it did not work. I go back that following Monday, his technician who broke my original rear-view tried to put the Amazon rear-view mirror on and that did not fit. He puts a wedge in between to make it fit. I knew this business was not right, but I let them get over on me not knowing my rights.

The quote was given on the spot. A later call lowered the quote, and an appt for the next morning was set. Connor arrived promptly with an associate and got right to work. I called Precision the next morning at 7am. The tech was out just a few hours later at 10. He looked everything over, and eventually aligned the sensors that I wasn't able to do. He also dusted grass off the bottom of my door, cleaned the sensor lenses and lubed the spring and moving parts. He gave me a couple helpful tips for the future. Unfortunately, because I had used them on another project, I ordered the unit through a competitor. It took them over two weeks to get my window to me. When I went to install the competitor 's window it was a bit snug on the width and unfortunately that pressure caused it to crack in the upper corner. On my way to order another I decided to find my way back to County Glass. It is a little difficult to find at first but I did and Mike answered the door. After telling him my situation he said he could get me a unit by the end of the day! I asked if that cost extra and he quoted me a price, out the door, that was $20 cheaper than the competitor who took two weeks!!! Mike was professional, helpful, and had my window ready in under two hours and it fit perfectly! I actually think it was a better unit than my other, to tell you the truth!
