I bought a car on bring a trailer and requested quotes from multiple brokers. Bears came highly recommended from forums. The quote was in line with the other "higher quality" brokers/shippers. I could have gone a cheaper route with Uship or montway for enclosed but read mixed experiences, as with anything on the internet. The booking was quite easy. One quick phone call and the delivery was coordinated. Car is picked up and handled with the seller. Two days later, I get a call from the driver and they're in front of my house. I have now worked twice with Bears Transport for transporting two brand new cars from an out of state dealership to my house via fully enclosed shipping, and both times Bears Transport and their drivers did an amazing job! Liz and Frank at Bears Transport are very well organized and detailed, and will always explain everything in the whole process including pricing, etc well in advance. They stay in touch with the dealerships and closely monitor the jobs, and always check up personally to make sure everything was smooth and to perfection! They always double check to make sure the deliveries will fit into their customers' schedules, and that the job is properly planned for and executed right. Our most recent driver, Matt, made sure to take detailed notes about the car at the dealership as he was picking up the vehicle and explained everything when he dropped off the vehicle at my house. This company was such a lifesaver! After having a terrible experience with a different company, and getting the ring around, I knew I had to do something fast to get my car shipped to its desired destination ASAP. Bears transport was highly recommended to me and now I know why. I called Liz on New Years Eve to see if there was any possibility my car could get picked up in the next couple of days to be transported from Connecticut to San Diego. Liz was very friendly, helpful and most importantly trustworthy. She explained that my car wasn't budging with the other company because they listed the price too low, and they were going to wait it out then start telling me that they need more money to ship the car because it was "during the holidays." (Which is exactly what happened) Liz told me a realistic price (which was actually only $300 more than what I was expecting to pay) and explained the process to me which is now crystal clear. I booked with her that night, and she called me back 2 hours later and said we had a driver! The driver picked my car up the next evening and here we are on January 4th and my car has arrived in San Diego. Less than 3 days!! I cannot believe it and I am so happy with this service. A few years ago I used Bears to transport two vehicles within a one week period and was very pleased. Recently, I had another vehicle I needed relocated from NC to TX and went with another company who offered a cheaper rate. My vehicle sat for 8 days (5 business days) with no movement or updates. The person on the phone didn't even seem to care that I was cancelling my transport. Frustrated, I reached out to Liz and she assured me it would be picked up asap. It was. She updated me over the weekend (a non-business day) to let me know my pickup had been confirmed and would be delivered promptly. This is the worst service I had ever received. Liz the owner of the company and her husband Frank, had assured me that they are the most honest company out there. I had an offer from another shipper for $150 less but Liz had realy sold me on her honesty and why I should spend the extra money. Well her promisses are empty and bare no results. I was promissed a delivery of the car today between 3 and 6pm and as of 7:45pm i am still home bound and waiting to receive my car. It seems that Liz and Frank are a front and don't have their own equpment and sub out all of their work. The driver that they dealt with on my vehicle only works from 10am to 5pm and then you can't even reach him. Stay tuned as my process evolves. Finally, 8:50pm and my car arrived. It arrived with a driver rather than being delivered via a truck. Bears Transport is a broker and bad one that acts only as a dispatcher a gets the money for answering a call from their website marketing and without feeling any liability to the consumer. The crazy part is that Liz and Frank do not care about my time and that my time is worth money just like yours and theirs. I thought that it would be appropriate for the company to offer me a compensation for my troubles but I didnt hear any offers and not even a simple I am sorry. I would not use them again and do not recomend you to do the same. I hope that this review does not get barried after some time and all the consumers will be aware. read more
