Can't say enought great things about Bobby and Van 3 Auto Transport. I called him Tuesday evening…read moreto inquire about shipping our car, we finalized the deal Wednesday midday and our car was picked up by 4pm on Thursday. Full story: We had engaged another broker to transport our car from Boston to California and the other broker pulled a bait and switch tripling the originally quoted price. Needless to say we cancelled our order with that broker leaving us in a pinch. When I called Bobby, I was very skeptical of auto shippers because of the other broker. He was very patient with me, explaining everything and assuring us he would deliver on his promises. I had read all the great reviews on Yelp so I decided to go for it. Within an hour he had located a driver and had the driver's dispatch call me to coordinate a pick-up time and what we could expect upon delivery. When the truck arrived to pick-up our car, the driver was very professional and documented the condition of the car while keeping me informed of everything he was doing. When he finished, I was shown everything he had noted and was provided an electronic copy to my email. Our car was delivered right to our door and in excellent condition. I will never go with anyone else when shipping a car, Bobby and Van 3 Auto Transport are top notch.

The lack of transparency and communication made this whole process a nightmare…read more We needed to ship our car from CA to WA and decided to go with Van3 since it seemed a bit cheaper than other options and we wanted to support a small business. Their reviews seemed good enough. Communication was through Yelp and it was rather sporadic and delayed. We didn't receive updates unless we followed up. There were so many miscommunications regarding the pick up of our vehicle. We were told that we would be contacted by a driver within a 3-day pick up window. This call never came. TWICE. We had to go through scheduling a vehicle pick-up two different times due to various excuses and circumstances that were never communicated to us until after the fact. Our car was supposed to arrive to WA the same day we moved in. We had planned for that weeks back. Due to the continuous delays, lack in communication, and "unforeseen circumstances," we were left without a car in WA for 1.5 weeks. Moving is already a stressful process. This service was supposed to make it easier, but it only added to the stress. Timelines were not honored or respected. Do not go with them unless you're not particular about your car arrival! They also do not have tracking!

Instead, Montway arrived with an open trailer without disclosing this beforehand, transported the vehicle to New Jersey, and left it at a facility for 8 days!!!--something we were also never told would happen. Communication throughout the process was astonishingly terrible given their reviews online. We later learned from the supervisor Lily that the original carrier had missed the pickup, yet Montway never notified us. I repeatedly requested updates and calls from supervisors that never came. The supervisor Lily ultimately acknowledged that mistakes had been made and that we had been misled regarding both the transportation arrangements and delivery timeframe. She also acknowledged that she was going to do everything in her power to assist in a refund, but the vehicle would need to be delivered first; which made zero sense. The vehicle was finally delivered on September 14, nearly three weeks after booking. After delivery, Lily with Montway told us she was working on a 50% refund, despite everything that occurred. They ultimately did not issue even that refund; their offer $100 credit..... and we declined. Lily said, it was the best they could do... The best thing THEY could have done was do the right thing considering the mistake after mistake after mistake they made. Between the undisclosed open transport and storage, significant delays, lack of communication, misleading information, and failure to honor even their proposed partial refund, this was a horrible and unacceptable experience. I would not trust Montway with a high-value vehicle EVER again.
