My partner falls into the first category, and was like a kid in a candy store when we first walked in. We shared a zucchini quiche, and while neither of us are typically super into quiches, we both found it to be absolutely delicious. The crust was thin and flaky and perfect, and the flavors perfectly balanced. I also had the vanilla eclair and it was delightful. The pastry was so light and fluffy, and the filling not too sweet and wonderfully creamy and vanilla-y. My partner had a slice of the couronne de reines--essentially a cake with orange peels, ginger bits, and cherries. He found it to be absolutely incredible. We had some wonderful coffees to go with our breakfast as well.

Warning - This is an organic non-gluten bakery. This is not for you if you're after croissants or…read moreother "standard" breads. I went in there without knowing any of it. It's my fault, really. I should have done my research beforehand. I was confused by the visible lack of any viennoiseries on display. (I was planning on having a croissant and a hot drink for my breakfast there) They didn't have any croissant, so after some hesitation, I picked what looked like a savoury bread, which had the name of the establishment. I assumed it was their signature stuff. The bread tasted stale and weird. I also had a banana bread, which was on the stodgier side. I was disappointed. And only when I looked up this bakery's name afterward, did I learn this is some kind of gluten-free themed bakery. On a flip side, the seating area is spacious and very comfortable.

This is an incredible and unique restaurant…read more First off.....read the reviews. They don't do walk in business. Reservation only. Why? Well the owner (Claude) is the chef, maitrade, waiter, bus boy, dishwasher, sommelier. He is a one man show. He needs to have seatings to execute the process. It is incredible to watch. Beautiful in his way. For all that give a bad review because you don't listen or learn, shame on you. We come to France every year. We go to see Claude every time. Incredible food on a wonderfully changing menu. We have never been dissappointed. If he has foie gras o the menu get it. Best in the city. Everything is good and fresh, but I just love his Fois Gras. Great wine and a really nice price. You cannot be disappointed here. Dinner takes time. No rush. Enjoy the food, the wine and the wonderful one man show. It is 200% worth it.

What a fabulous experience we had here. We will definitely come back when we are next in Paris…read more We were the first customers to arrive for the evening and we're warmly welcomed. It's a small place, with less than 10 tables, and it soon became clear that the restaurant was fully booked for the evening. By the time our main courses arrived, it was clear to us that this restaurant is run by one wonderful man. He is the host, bartender, waiter, busboy, and chef; and he does it all with infectious delight! You have the feeling that there is nothing he would rather be doing than serving you. Do get the crème brulée. My BF and typically share a dessert, but this time we got our own and were glad we did. That memory will last! Next time, one, or both, of us will get a flambé
