Peking duck, skin was on par!
    Sheila N.

Wow, just wow! I found this place on Yelp and on google searches/vegan blogs for vegan spots in Paris and we were not disappointed! My husband and I are both vegans visiting Paris from MN USA. We GPS'd walked our way here. We thought we missed it, but at last, we arrived! We showed up just in time. There were two spot left and we got one of them looking out the window! It was a nice clean restaurant. The service was super fast, and the food came out even faster! Like wow! Lightening speeds! I ordered the vegan Peking Mock Duck. It came on white rice with some fried tofu, sliced cucumber, and tomatoes. The skin on the mock duck was amazing! So close to the real thing. The texture of the meat, was not exact, but still good! We also had the Black Peppered 'Beef' cooking pot! O.M.G!!!! It was so goooood! The sauce was amazing! So full of flavor! It doesn't come with rice, so I gave my husband half of the rice from my dish!! I wish I could have some right now! I also ordered the Nems and vegan fried 'chicken' to go. I wish I could have had it fresh. I enjoyed the fried 'chicken' so much, but was oily. But it's fried chicken, what did I expect. haha. I ate both nems and fried 'chicken' cold for breakfast the next early morning! LOL I would definitely recommend this place for vegans and would love to go back!

Came here twice during my trip and could have happily gone a third time but the ambiance is so unpleasant because the space does not come close to accommodating the high volume of their customers. There is hardly any space to walk and barely any to eat, especially when you want to order as much as possible (like we did). It is extremely loud because of all the people packed in like sardines and the service felt very rushed at all times because they could not hide their urgency in needing to clear us out ASAP. The food is delicious, so it makes it worth the unwelcoming dining experience. Highlights were the perfect Papaya Salad (best I've had), Pho (best vegan Pho I've had), Thai Rice (perfectly seasoned), Black Pepper Beef Hot Pot (super delicious and goes perfectly with the rice or pho). I tried three desserts and they were also great. Would not recommend the Pad Thai--needed way more acidity and the fake shrimp was the kind I'm used to that is a miss as well as the noodles becoming soggy soon after arrival. The Ha Kao wrapper was nothing like Ha Kao with the wrapper being way too tough and filling totally bland. I have had a convincing vegan Ha Kao elsewhere where the wrapper and filling tasted very much like the real thing so this was disappointing. The food also comes out very quickly and is usually great so the kitchen is doing a tremendous job. Easily 5* if they can expand/move to a larger location.

Super delicious Pho!!! My gf said it changed her life!! Very tasty vegetarian food and not too pricy either

Super delicious food and awesome atmosphere. Not too pricy and instantly became my gf's favorite restaurant in Paris! We got the fried tofu, sticky rice, and pho

Galette des legumes, super with the chilli sauce!

When I asked why, she said, "They're crunchy." My eyes lit up. As a vegan I crave crunchy food because so much plant-based food is soft. Evian was right! This roll had texture. It was beautifully presented in eight pieces. Upon the first yummy bite it was apparent this was cooking at another level. The fry was perfectly light and clean. Each bite substantial. The taste memorable. I have never had a sushi roll like it and now I want to live inside the restaurant so I can have it forever. We also got five pieces of the yummy Seitan Crispy, which comes with a lovely Doenjang sauce, that is thick and flavorful. These unique, protein boosts are also cleanly fried, delectable and filling. Lastly, my husband got the small BBQ Donburi which was a bowl of rice, a flavorful bbq soy protein, and some mesclum. He loved it. We sat outside on the lovely side street and chatted with Evian who made our dinner a memorable experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and wish I could bring it back to America. Their food menu has 4 appetizers (€10-14) and 4 mains (€19.50-22). My wife & I split 2 of each: -Sesame Marinated Tofu (€13) -- easily the best dish we got, coming in a soy & lime yogurt base, with the tofu beautifully crusted in sesame seeds and other spices/herbs. Delicious -Grilled Green Asparagus (€14) -- very nicely prepared, served in a cashew cream base, parsley pesto, and arugula. Very nice. -Hazelnuts Mashed Potatoes (€22) -- a bit bland, but the mustard vinaigrette and rooibos & tamari cream were nice as a base; the potato mash lacked flavour though and there wasn't much hazelnut character. -Elicoidali Basil & Balsamic Cream (€21.50) -- nicely cooked pasta dish, with eda mame beans, sundried tomatoes, and covered in a pesto and sunflower seed sauce. A bit bland as well, but reasonably done. Service was quick and helpful. Sparkling water is €4.50, but that is written in the menu which you receive after being asked whether you want still (free) or sparkling water. All in all, great appetizers, blander mains. Might not be worth the price, but the experience overall was good.

We were seated at a two top table and our server brought us a bottle of water to share at the table. My husband also ordered some sparkling water for himself. As for the meal, I decided to try the Sesame Marinated Tofu along with a Mediterranean Salad. My husband chose the Chickpea and Rice Pancake along with the Camargue Rice a la provencale. I was slightly apprehensive at first but once the food came out, I was pleasantly surprised. My Sesame Tofu had so much flavor infused into the tofu. Plus the sesame seeds provided such a nice texture to the dish. The mediterranean salad was also tasty and the inclusion of strawberries and watermelon gave it a nice sweet and savory mix. My husband enjoyed his chickpea pancake, especially the cashew cream it came with. He wasn't as happy with his Camargue rice. He felt it lacked some seasoning but the vegetables were fresh. To finish our meal, we shared the chocolate mousse. It was delicious, especially the caramelized pecans and raspberries. Overall, I was completely satisfied and happy with our decision to come to Le Potager de Charlotte.

The Tofu Tout Flamme was one of their Buddha Bowls that caught my attention pretty quickly - I was intrigued by the fact that it is served over sticky rice, which is one favorite kinds of rice. I like when places give you the option of small and large portions, so that you don't end up spending money on food that you're not going to eat and will end up going to waste. Many other items on the menu looked fantastic, too, so this will definitely be a place I come back to next time I'm in Paris.
