Quite honestly the best vegan food I've ever eaten. Fair prices and a cozy place, but most of all just amazing food.

On our last evening in Paris we were fortunate to nab an outdoor table at this lovely restaurant…read moredownhill from the famous Sacred Heart Church. I wanted to taste authentic French Onion soup before leaving this beautiful country and we could not have selected a better place. The soup was, of course, the most delicious onion soup I have ever tasted and the duck breast and green beans which followed were equally amazing. My husband ordered the egg and duck confit appetizer which we were initially puzzled as to what to expect but it was DELISH! As was the duck Shepherd's Pie! To top off the wonderful food was the friendly, gracious service through which it was provided. These two gentleman made our final evening the best. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

These smaller bistro type eateries are the lifeblood of the local cuisine. They consistently offer reasonably priced dishes that are full of flavor and technique. The wine and drink options are well catered to the menu and they provide options for most price points. The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

That's where Végébowl comes in to save the day as my first meal after arriving in Paris. Being the de facto food connoisseur of my group since I'm plant-based, I was excited to try this spot and see my friends enjoying all the food as well. We started with their Shiitake Mushroom Fritters (6€) and these were crispy, golden perfection in our mouths. They weren't overly fried or greasy and the mushrooms were tender and fantastic. For my main, I tried their Claypot Udon with Satay Sauce (12€). Even on a hot Parisian day, this noodle soup definitely filled me up. The sauce was fantastic - a mix of satay paste and coconut milk, and all the tofu and veggies incorporated with the udon was just heavenly. They also had BOBA. I was thrilled that they offered milk tea (with ice!) and boba, and while it didn't blow me away, the fact that it was even available meant I was ordering one. My friend agreed. Definitely loved dining here and would say they are one of my go-to spots now especially the next time I'm in Paris.
