Le menu! There are also specials of the day!

Healthy eaters unite! From the women who run this spot to the heart and soul of the food they prepare for our bodies, this place is heaven on earth. We came in for lunch one day and had the plate and the bowl of the day, which basically had the same items (kidney bean salad, fresh lettuce, lentils, potatoes), with the exception of an eggplant dish. All topped with some lovely bio-rific elements. The food tasted like they use a lot of ginger in their preparation, which was so delicious to me! Also felt really good at the end of the meal, not too full or too much of any one thing. I also had the drink of the day, named "purple" something - can't quite remember. But it was refreshing and purple! I highly recommend this place for a feel-good meal of direct from the source food. Good prices, too, for food that's going to make you feel incredible. Happy eating!

Delicious food, wonderful service! Came all the way from California, it was worth it.

I finally ate at this healthy hot spot while hanging out with a friend who is serious about super foods and such. The place has always appealed to my aesthetics (retro tiled-floors, barrel seats, rustic interiors) but I could never get my appetite up for the occasion of testing their all-vegetarian, super healthy cooking, and now I know why. My assiette vitaminée sounded like a good mid-afternoon Sunday snack, but the combination of sprouts, bananas, and carob chips really didn't do it for me. My friend's 20E brunch plate of quinoa, curry vegetables, and other healthy garb didn't temp me in the slightest either. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against eating well, but the presentation and flavor combinations feel very retro, as if I were in dining in a health food store in Brooklyn circa 1978. I will say that the service is insanely warm, the place charming and super foods supermarket section very impressive, but if I'm going to eat vegetarian in the neighborhood, I'd much rather go to Bob's.

Whole Food Soup, the recipe changes daily! Amazing!

This restaurant was very close to my hotel and turned out to be the best place I ate in Paris! I ate here twice but wished I could have been here every day!!! I'm a vegetarian, adventurous eater, love trying new things...this restaurant and its vibe are just amazing, chill, healthy, balanced, delicious, tasty, and healthful! Everyone there goes out of his/her way to explain the menu and the food. I ordered the Dish of the Day, both times I ate there. My friend ordered the Whole Foods soup each time. All was very well prepared, big portions, reasonably priced too!

This place is as vegan as they come! The food is 100% vegan and 100% delicious. Before you even order your meal they bring over a few things for you to try. Unless you're a super food expert you will no doubt never have tasted what they put in front of you but it is definitely interesting to try if not all that delicious. The plat du jour is always different and is essentially a big plate with a selection of different dishes, half of which are raw. The only downside for me was not knowing exactly what I was eating, I would have loved to have known what was in each dish but I'm sure they would have told me had I have asked. Not the most reasonably priced food at 17.50 euro for a main but it was definitely worth the money in my opinion. Or you can choose a fresh juice and a dessert option for 22.50 euro. There is also a little epicerie inside the restaurant selling super healthy products as well as raw chocolate. A must for any health conscious foodie who loves trying new flavours.

    Soup!

I arrived in Paris with a terrible flu, and managed to stumble in the rain to this seeming hole-in-the-wall restaurant and shop. After eating there, I was convinced that it cured me of my illness and allowed me to have a wonderful week in Paris! I found the menu overwhelming, as even in English I wouldn't know what half the things were. There's a guide to all of the South American ingredients, which is helpful. I ordered a soup and could choose a flavor to add - I believe mine was "energizing" which included spirulina. The soup was amazing, full of greens, rice, beans, random other vegetables and sweet bits and sour bits and so many flavors all in a nourishing broth (with my flavor ingredients added). My beau got a plate which included many of the same ingredients. We also had the purple passion juice (apple juice, purple maize, ginger, and I don't know what else) which was delicious. They give you little nibbles of raw caco and some kind of berry. It was a bit slow because there was just one person working for a while, and many people came in to buy packages of the different ingredients that line one wall. Nevertheless someone helped us in English as best she could, and the food was made with care. The server even returned to our plates after bringing them to add a dollop of something delicious. The place itself is spare but inviting enough. I'd highly recommend this for a unique vegan experience.

This review and others can be found at my vegan blog - www.veega.co I walked across the city to visit Sol Semilla for dinner and it was well worth it! I spotted the brightly colored cafe, which also houses a small market for their selection of supplements and organic food products. I took a seat at the window for prime people-watching while dining alone. My ordering decision was very easy because the menu is short, but my meal definitely didn't lack variety. I ordered the Plate of the Day which included about six different tasty, nicely seasoned vegan side dishes made with chickpeas, beets, potatoes, brown rice, homemade hummus, and garnished with greens and apples. I appreciated that the ingredients were all whole vegetables and grains, no processed soy products here. They had various vinegars and oil on the table to dress the dish. For a beverage I opted for a green juice and skipped the full meal option which also included a dessert, since I was already feeling full from my colorful plate. My juice was the Green Detox, apple juice mixed with chlorella, a vibrant green algae in the form of powder. I would visit Sol Semilla again. The food was nourishing, fresh, and reminded me of a home-cooked meal, something I was craving given my longer than usual travels in Europe. It was a bit pricey (15.50 Euros for the dish alone, plus a couple more for the juice), but I was happy to spend it given my options in this city. - from veega.co

Organic, vegan and fresh... so glad I had a chance to visit this quaint cafe during my trip to Paris. My food was fantastic! I had the special of the day - a plate full of veggie goodness. Flavorful and wholesome. The service was friendly and fast; they spoke some English which was appreciated. I took advantage of the menu combo that included a drink and dessert for around 25 euros. Pricey, but worth it! Credit cards are accepted.

A Vegan's Dream in Paris! For eaters with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or other dietary restrictions the Sol Semilla is a great dining option where you can find delicious food, that is prepared with the your health in mind. The menu is small but each dish is prepared on the spot by the small kitchen in the back of the room. In addition to its constantly changing daily menus, the restaurant's menu is created with a environmentally sustainable practices. Within the restaurant there is also a small shop where you can purchase different grains, spices, and powders that are used in the prepared meals. Keep in mind however, that the restaurant is pretty small so it may not be the best setting to accommodate a larger group.

I came here for brunch with a friend, and left feeling it had all been TOO healthy (if that's a thing). We had plates with different veggies, rice, and curried chickpeas. Everything was good, but nothing standout. We each had a piece of raw chocolate tart for dessert, and maybe its just me, or maybe it was this particular tart, but after this I don't think I'm a huge fan of raw or "healthy" desserts (if you're going to have dessert I think you should just go for it, no? The more refined carbs the better). However, if you feel like you need a super healthy & vegan meal, then this is your place.

They were so nice & accommodating, the moment we stepped in they made us feel welcomed. Their food was delectable with many gluten free options. The homemade foie gras was delicious & it even came with gluten free bread! My husband enjoyed his tuna fish with leek tatin, black rice & tom yam coconut cream. My daughter enjoyed the pressed beef stew with roasted cauliflower, black olive, red wine jus. And I LOVED the beef butcher's cut with potatoes, beetroots and honey. The desserts were just as tasty. We got the caramelized pear with vanilla pastry cream, crumble and brioche & the gluten free chocolate lava cake with crunchy praline topping. Everything was so flavorful & beautifully presented. We were so full but extremely satisfied. If we stayed closer to this area we would have eaten there again! This is a must visit in Paris.

It shows the owner and the chef care about their food. It's a stark contrast to all the touristy traps in this area. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. We got the set lunch for 19 euros and they were more than enough to power me for the rest of my tourist day ;)

The staff was all very friendly and inviting and were happy to recommend their favorite dishes to us. My wife ordered a French onion soup and one of their famously large salads, which are served in these big bowls. I decided to try the chef's special, which was a beef tenderloin a la rossini (truffle sauce and foie gras). I'm not typically a foie gras fan, but I figured since we're in Paris that I'd give it a shot. I'm very glad I did because it was absolutely delicious. The steak melded perfectly with the truffle sauce and fois gras. This was all served with potatoes au gratin, and blanched green beans. Everything was perfect. I also ordered two large beers. A Grimbergin blonde and a Kronenbourg ale. I love how both beers were served in their respective brand's glasses. Such a nice touch. For dessert, we ordered an Apple Tarte Tartin, upon a recommendation from one of the staff. It was light, sweet, and served with some ice cream and créme fraîce. This was such a great dinner all around. Great food, great vibes, which all lead to a great evening. Would definitely recommend!

For New Year's Eve they offered a special menu, 79 € per person. The host outside who convinced us to splurge for the special occasion said our kiddo wouldn't pay full price. Spoiler: that's not how it went. We were seated in back by the restrooms, with the sound of the hand-dryer serenading our meal. From what I could tell, apart from the staff, there wasn't a single French-speaking person in the whole place, a bad sign. For appetizers we had the escargots, which could have benefited from more garlic and butter, the foie gras, which was fine, and the smoked salmon, which was a generous portion, and very smokey. For my main, I ordered the duck in honey sauce, which would have been a good plate, served with salad, but for some reason they plated it with cold vegetables: green beans, bell pepper, and eggplant under congealing butter--Tasted like it was made ahead of time and they forgot to reheat it out of the fridge before scooping onto my plate. Total fail. My kiddo got the knuckle of lamb, which was fatty and gristly, although the mashed potatoes underneath were delicious, and my wife chose the fettuccine with shrimp and scallops, which were both overcooked and the scallops were crunchy, which was weird, served over way too much plain noodles. The desserts were good, but we paid over 240 € for three, with only one drink each, making it both the most expensive and also least delicious meal of our trip so far. Staff were friendly and attentive, and all addressed us in English, even though I'm fluent in French, which makes sense for a tourist trap. Would not recommend, unless maybe you just get the big cheap salad, seemingly that's what the 5-star reviews are for.
