I…read morehave some dental anxiety due to some dental work I had a few years ago, and he has always been so good to work with me and to make sure that while I am in the chair that I am doing ok. His assistants are always so sweet and the ladies at reception are so efficient as well. I love that after just a couple visits, they knew who I was when I got there and they would just verify the info with me, let them know I was there, and within a few minutes someone would come out to get me. Dr. Schvaneveldt is so fun and such a jokester and I enjoy that I feel like I can joke around with him and that he doesn't feel that he has to be so buttoned up all the time. I believe that bedside manner is so important when you are picking someone for your care team and I am so glad that I picked Ridgeview when I was looking for someone that would take my insurance because Dr. Schvaneveldt is one of the most fun and caring dentists I have been to. ***As a side note...I read through all the previous reviews and I can't imagine Dr. Schvaneveldt EVER being the way some of the people that left 1-star reviews say he was. I would HIGHLY recommend instead of taking their word (or mine for that matter) you give him a try for yourself. I would never ever recommend this dentist to anyone. Went for a full extraction. He never said…read morehello. He started my shots with no numbing prior. From the first shot my entire body was in distress. Of course I knew I would experience pain but this was outrageous. He was aggressive and I was showing extreme distress pulling my legs up off the chair and turning my face. He continued and did not stop even though I was bawling my eyes out. I went into fight or flight, freeze . I froze and was scared to death. I'm not one to not speak my mind but my mind and body went into trama mode. He never once showed any concern or asked if I was ok! Any dr. I've ever seen has stopped or showed comfort when in the slightest pain! I feel like he could care less about me as a human. After slamming the forth shot into me I finally found the courage to say I need a break! I told him whatever it took to get out of there! I felt I was not safe. He was irritated and short with me. I said I would reschedule knowing I would not. I left there shaking and could not see through tears and make up. I pulled out of the parking lot and parked across the street and called my daughter while shaking. My body trembled for four hours after and I was tramatized for weeks. Being rude and dismissive of patients pain and concerns is against his code of ethics and I'm sure he learned this in school but seems to not give a shit!!!!I my opinion only but I believe this guy is very mentally disturbed I finally found a loving caring dentist that started my process with the upmost care and professionalism. Dr. Wells is a sweetheart and very knowledgeable. If you…read morehave a scheduled appointment here, they are great at getting patients seen quietly and efficiently. If you come in off the street with mysterious foot pain like I did, you may wait a long while, or you may be bounced to another clinic. Good news is there's loads of paperwork to fill out while you wait..but they work with you financially if you're in the Obamacare 'donut hole' like me. I paid a very fair price for diagnosis, blood work and medication. Facilities are clean and new, and they can do a lot in-house. They even have dentistry onsite. This is a branch of Bear River Health, who does a lot to make health care more accessible to our community.

When I brought this up and told them that I could just come back another day, they said no worries and that it wouldn't take long at all. They said this for my benefit, because it actually ended up being a long procedure because they had to extract the tooth because the infection was really bad. The entire time they made me feel relaxed and they really took good care of me. I can't thank them enough. 5/5 stars easy! :)

Buyer Beware!! Cannot recommend this office for dental work,…read moreif you are using any kind of insurance. The people are nice and the work was ok, (I do think the crown they put it was too tight, which cause the tooth next to it to break - but I cannot confirm that). They 'cannot' tell you before how much your insurance will cover for the procedure, but then after the procedure it over they know exactly, how little your insurance covers and that is what you get charges with. Then a couple of weeks later, they send you a bill for even more, saying that it was not in the original bill or covered by insurance. That coupled with their prices for a standard root canal are $1950. One tooth, One Root Canal, One Crown - $2,000. And they only work 4 days a week. Cannot, will not recommend this place.
