He's funny he makes you laugh. He's a really nice guy, but he also does a very thorough job. He will discuss any options or concerns that you have. I also brought up concern with one of his staff. The next time I was there they were no longer employed. He is a very caring Doctor. read more

I am a member of EyeMed and spent several days trying to decide who I wanted to provide me with my glasses here in Cache Valley. I called Seeholzer Vision Center and talked with Robyn, in fact I had many conversations with Robyn as she was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. It was her vast knowledge and ability to communicate options and details about progressive lenses that impressed me the most. Robyn's guidance resulted in my complete and utter satisfaction with exactly what I described to her I wanted, she even exceeded my expectations, answered all my questions and did it all professionally and expertly. I regret my visit, it was very unprofessional, no sanitizing and political cartoons were plastered all over the front desk for decoration. I'm really not picky with peoples decisions or professionalism when running a business but the entire thing was very unsettling. When I was filling out my medical history form the first thing he said to me when he came out to the foyer was that they're very complicated and he doesn't need to know about the time I had diarrhea when I was 5. Okay, obviously I'm including only relevant information - such as medications that give me dry eye. I don't know if he felt I was taking too long or what, but it was condescending and just for a good chuckle on his end. Keep in mind these were the first words out of his mouth the first rime we ever met. My personal space felt so violated several times, including when he pulled my head back with no warning and put numbing drops in my eyes before I even realized what was happening to me. He then proceeded to almost mock and laugh at how numb my eyes are and my reaction of confused blinking. Keep in mind this was supposed to spare me feeling the little machine that taps your eyeball, which I've done before and have never actually wished my eyes were numbed. If he'd asked or told me what he was putting in my eyes I would've said no, but instead I didn't even know he was putting ANYTHING in my eyes so suddenly, let alone that it would make me numb. To top it all off he took my first contact out if the new case and transferred it to me FROM HIS OWN FINGER before I insisted I could get the second one out myself, like I do every single month. I've never left a bad review before but I wish I'd checked reviews before I went, it would've saved me an hours worth of discomfort, days of trying to process what just happened to me, and I could've found a respectful professional instead of someone who lacks personal space. read more

I visited Dr. Seeholzer's office a few months ago and probably had the best optometrist visit I've ever had with any provider. He was quick, funny, effective, and generous with the information and insight he provided. He arranged for me to try out three different brands of lenses and each were good options for me. Dr. Seeholzer is the best eye doctor I have ever had. I had a eye crisis while vacationing in Saint George. He went into his office on a Saturday (his day off), just to fax my prescription to an eye doctor down there. My exams are always fast, easy, and pain free. Love him and his staff! read more

I went to see Dr. Seeholzer when I was living in Utah. I think I saw him twice. The first time was okay, but the second time...shudder. I was there for my annual exam to get a new prescription for my contacts. I've been wearing contacts for over 10 years, and am kind of a germaphobe about it. The fun began when Dr. Seeholzer was giving me my new pair of contact lenses. It is standard practice to get new lenses at a visit, and I wanted to wash my hands first before I put my contacts in. He kind of looks at me like, "okay..." So I wash my hands at the little sink and then look for paper towels. If I recall correctly, I think I even asked for paper towels. He hands me a dish towel. Really? A dish towel? I don't know how long it had been floating around in the office or who had touched it. While I am washing my hands, he's opening the contact lens packages. Which is fine. Until he slides the first lens out and balances it on his fingertip to transfer to my fingertip! WTF? I have never had a optometrist do this before. And after my big huff to wash my hands he never washed his! Then he goes on to tell me that just this morning they had a patient in the office that had ocular herpes! OMG! I was freaked out for weeks that I was going to develop herpes. Thank God nothing happened. Even if I was still living in Utah, I would never be back. Dr. Seeholzer is a really nice guy, but seriously needs to rethink his sanitary practices. As Yelp says with one star, "Eek! Methinks not." read more

Dr. Seeholzer is knowledgeable, funny, nice, and thorough. He is not in a hurry and will talk through options with you. The staff member who checked me in was not aware of the products and services available, and when I asked something she didn't know, she did not offer to find out, just said she's new so she didn't know. Also, she forgot a certain measurement, so I had to come back. So I was not impressed until seeing Dr. Seeholzer, who is a rock star. Totally worth it. read more
