The total I was going to be charged for one pair of glasses + lenses (with anti glare and wide field progressive lens) would have been nearly $500.00 ($489.98). I asked for a print out of that quote as I believed it was extremely high. I was told one could not be printed out. However, the employee wrote the price and style down on a business card. I took my prescription and went to EYEMART in Riverdale, Ut. The exact same lens with frames of the same price, and quality, or very close to the same, was 1/2 the price and would be done a week sooner and with a better warranty (two years instead of one). Furthermore, I was able to buy a pair of sunglasses with the same lens for just a few dollars more (both pairs are the same price as one pair at SHOPKO Optical). After this experience I will NOT spend my time or money at SHOPKO Optical.

Our family of five went to Dr. Waterman for the first time for eye exams. We had three different…read moreappointments for five people. We paid up front for the deductible (as expected) for everyone except apparently one child. So we received a bill a few months later for that child. I called and an employee said we had been overcharged so they gave us a discount. We received another bill for the original amount so I called again because we thought we had already paid, and an employee looked up our account and said we had a balance of 0 and there was nothing for us to pay. A few months later we receive a collections notice saying we owed the whole amount with an added $25 fee. I called Dr. Waterman's office again and was told it was out of their hands. They told me I had to contact the collection agency and pay the higher amount. After hours trying to sort this out and Dr. Waterman's staff without any explanation and not seeming to care, we won't be back again.
