After the third cancellation, I requested a refund. I was told to speak with the finance department, but despite multiple calls, messages, and in-person visits, I did not receive a response. I eventually spoke directly with Dr. Monson, who agreed to issue the refund, but as of today, I still have not received it. I am also concerned that the business is now listed as permanently closed, which adds to the uncertainty regarding my refund.

The total I was going to be charged for one pair of glasses + lenses (with anti glare and wide field progressive lens) would have been nearly $500.00 ($489.98). I asked for a print out of that quote as I believed it was extremely high. I was told one could not be printed out. However, the employee wrote the price and style down on a business card. I took my prescription and went to EYEMART in Riverdale, Ut. The exact same lens with frames of the same price, and quality, or very close to the same, was 1/2 the price and would be done a week sooner and with a better warranty (two years instead of one). Furthermore, I was able to buy a pair of sunglasses with the same lens for just a few dollars more (both pairs are the same price as one pair at SHOPKO Optical). After this experience I will NOT spend my time or money at SHOPKO Optical.
