It was a bit confusing to turn into the driveway then wind up the path to the lodge, but there are signs to help. The driveway is a bit steep and I wouldn't want to go up if it was snowing in our little car! Enough parking for everyone and plenty of common rooms. There is a fridge and microwave on the first floor, and was a mini fridge in our room. It's about 45 minutes to Helen, GA and more affordable. I'd book the lodge again!

This lodge is family run, and they really put their heart and soul into it. Don is the perfect host, and was always available to answer questions and make recommendations. The Dahlonega area has so much to offer, like wine tasting, great restaurants, beautiful hiking trails (Appellation Trail), shopping, fishing, mining for gems and gold (highest quality gold in the world), gold mine tours, and the list goes on, and for us the Long Mountain Lodge is in the center of it all. Our room was very spacious, clean, beautifully decorated in a mountain theme, and had an amazing view from our patio, where we hung out every evening, sipping wine and champagne, watching the sun set.

Maybe I'm grading on the curve, but to be honest I'm not expecting Michelin Guide levels of restaurant quality at a state park lodge. Overall, the hotel is not well maintained and does not meet basic standards of comfort or cleanliness. If your goal is to visit the waterfall, I recommend booking another hotel in town and driving up. I will not be returning to this location.

It had a real southern look to it while still keeping it classy. The venue is real tidy and you can tell they keep it very well maintained. Amenities include a lake which use to be a Orvis certified fishing lake. The trout creek, Clear Creek runs through the community. The campsites are beside the creek and hiking trails. There are numerous waterfalls with a trail hike up to the Twin Falls. If you enjoy nature and the outdoors this is a community you should look into. Just to note, there are more black bears here than just about any where else in Georgia.

The bed in the master room is over 10 years old and you can tell it!!! All water sources, sinks bath, shower, toilets smell like rotten eggs! The rental management company just took it over so hopefully things will get updated soon. To add to the problems, the air conditioner in the mater bedroom didn't work. I complained to rental company last night and spoke with the office manager this morning. She was very apologetic and made the appropriate compensation offer after speaking with the owner.

Our one regret is not booking another night. Location is convenient to everything - the restaurants, the shops, and the wineries. Most wineries are only 10-15 minutes away from the inn. We stayed in The Madison. This suite sleeps up to four guests and offers two queen beds, spacious living room with wet bar, and flat screen TVs. We loved how the living room is completely separate from the bedroom. Even the AC units are separate. We were able to control the room temperatures to our liking and close the door in between. We all slept comfortably. Due to Covid, check in and check out are all done by phone and went smoothly. The room was left open for us with the keys and instructions right by the door. Continental breakfast is available at their event space. Though we didn't indulge, it looked pretty fresh and yummy. The event space is beautiful and perfect for more intimate weddings and occasions. We had a wonderful stay at 27 On Park and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dahlonega!

We were upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi tub, a very nice addition to the stay. The rate was in line with more conventional hotels in the area but with a whole lot more character. They're not big so they fill up quickly so plan as far in advance as you can.
