I can't recommend using this service provider. When contacted about a wasp / hornet nest as well as a possible birds nest that we would like to have removed, the email response was "dismissive" to put it mildly. When we replied with a request to set up the service we never heard back. There are wasps nesting in the walls of my garage or in the eves, but Bear Pest Control could not find them. They sprayed the outside of the house, but it didn't knock down the wasps at all. It had no effect. I called a few weeks later to tell them their treatment hadn't helped, and I expected they would offer to come back and treat again, or maybe offer my money back. They surprised me by not doing either of those. Instead they said that was the best they could do, and at the same time encouraged me to get the treatment twice a year going forward. He also had the most competitive price and was willing to match a competitor's 90 day guarantee. He was available to come out very quickly (2-3 days later) and was flexible with my schedule. He evaluated my home and ran his plan by me. He identified and plugged the most likely points of entry and set several traps for any mice that remained in the home. I hired Troy based on the previous Yelp reviews and could not be happier. We were experiencing problems with ants coming from our attic into our bathroom via the fan vent. Troy responded quickly and was friendly and knowledgeable when he came to the house. He identified them as carpenter ants and told us after the first application that a few more might be necessary to fully get rid of the ants. He was right--he had no problem coming out two more times for treatment until the ant problem was eliminated. I cannot speak more highly than Troy at Bear Control Pest Company. We had an infestation of Fruit Flies. Yes Fruit Flies! In December in MN. With Troy's help we figured out that they were breeding in our diabetic cats urine. Instead of urinating in his litter box he (our cat) decided to urinate on the carpet multiple times. So by talking with Troy about their life cycle and knowing that they had to live in and breed in a sugary area. We were able to find the source of the breeding and clean it up. My husband had called Orkin and they were all too excited to try and sell us the $ 149.00 dollar, inspection and clean up plan, that was guaranteed. But only if you paid for the $93.00 every other month "come out and we will inspect" plan. With Troy's knowledge of the fruit fly and it's breeding habits we were able to remedy the situation ourselves for pretty much nothing and save Christmas Eve festivities at our house! He searched for entry points into the home, sealed them up with copper mesh, set traps, and gave us his cell phone number so we could text him when we needed him to come back and clean out the traps.
