Very impressed with Cloverleaf. They came out the next day and treated for my yellow jacket issue…read more Jessica was super helpful. Will use them again in the future for pest related needs.

When I bought an older home a few years ago, I knew one risk would be mice. I never had a problem…read morelike this before so I turned to Yelp for recommendations. I heard pretty sketchy things about the well-known pest control companies that are so expensive, so wanted to try somewhere else that's pricing was more reasonable. Pro with going with Cloverleaf is that you're also supporting a small local business too. I found Cloverleaf by its good Yelp reviews and because someone actually picked up the phone when I called. We decided to sign-up for the Home Shield program which makes sense since fighting pests is a year-round thing (that I learned the hard way)! Not just mice but other critters too with bait stations & bug traps that they regularly check & refill. We've been using them for almost 2 years now, and customer service is great, courteous & responsive and willing to work with my schedule for visits. They are committed to be problem solving and stopping by between regular visits to check traps if I hear a suspicious sound. I'll admit sometimes, I've had some false alarms but Avery has always been a good sport about it. No one wants this problem with their home, but I feel like we finally got it managed thanks to Cloverleaf.

Buyer beware. Used Valor as a local, rather than a national…read morecompany. Their first service with us was pretty good to remove squirrel(s) doing damage. Up to 5-days of service. Note the UP TO. Now in spring, planning repairs and wanted to try to ensure the rodent problem was over. Signed up for a 2nd look. Squirrel environment drastically changed since first service, two wooded lots now have homes, neighbors have done some heavy tree trimming. Same 5 days of monitoring. Camera set up late afternoon on Monday, expecting monitoring until Friday, or Saturday with late Monday start. Got couple of email notes, no activity on camera. Tuesday was rain day, squirrels were staying home. Valor was out at 8 am Thursday and pulled the camera and noted they found nothing, ending service in an email. Only 2 1/2 days of service. There was no call or contact with us saying they were cutting service prior to Friday / Saturday afternoon - 5 days. Called Valor to ask why pulled early. Said they saw nothing, pulled it early. First service squirrels were caught on 3rd and 5th days. Asked if we'd get a pro rated refund for the 2 days not serviced. They said no. They BOOKED BILL like auto shops or plumbers/electricians - set price no matter how fast they complete the job. They got their full payment and make extra money by moving on to next job early. But with those other folks, their work is completed. Valor said they knew it was done. Guess they talked with the squirrels and got a written agreement. Major takeaway is Valor's determination of end of service when they think so, not any kind of duration of service. They claim the 5 days is an UP TO approximation, they really determine the end, and in our experience, with no prior contact with the customer. Only an email saying they pulled the equipment. We will never use them again, nor would we recommend their services with that kind of business / customer service. We'll just go national next time.

Aptive Pest Control - Outdoor pest treatment for trees and landscaping

Aptive Pest Control

We signed up for the 1 year deal. The door to door sales guy was a bit pushy but did explain…read moreeverything so we knew what we were getting into. In our experience the customer service folks and technicians have been courteous and professional. The first couple of applications seemed to go well. They said that the inside of the garage would be treated but they never did. I even asked for them to make sure they treated it on future visits but to no avail. After four treatments they still have yet to set foot in my garage. Most of the bugs seemed to be taken care of by the treatments however not the spiders. In fact, our home now seems to be a beacon for spiders. We get new cobwebs and spider activity even shortly after treatments. Our house looks like it is ready for Halloween with the amount of spiderwebs on the exterior of the house. None of our neighbors homes, and we are in a tight subdivision, have any spiderwebs at all. We had a new, strange but start to show up inside the house. I called for them to come and re-treat for it. They did so, and in a timely manner. That being said, the service technician placed small glue traps about the house. The kind you use for mice. Why they did this for bugs I am not clear on. Recently we have had vegetation around our house dying after the most recent treatment. Not sure if it is related but odd coincidence. The customer service person said that is the first they have heard of something like that happening. I called to cancel our contract and did not have any issues. Again the customer service person on the phone was professional, polite and did ask why we were cancelling. If the spiders could have been taken care of like the rest of the bugs and they completed all of the service (garage) that was promised we would stay with them. Now looking for another pest control service.

We signed up for Aptive after they promised us they were safer and more effective than Greenix,…read morethey even called to cancel for us. Our first service appointment was today and we found out that we were lied to about our service. We requested rodent control only, and they came and sprayed our house for insects. We never asked for this and we don't want this. My partner called to complain and they apologized and offered credit to our account because they "performed services we didn't ask for." When I called about it, they told me they don't offer rodent control without insect control. So basically the salesperson lied to us and then they made it seem to my partner like they would not spray or charge us for spraying again, when really they don't have a service without it. I canceled via email, which they don't list anywhere on your Aptive profile, and they informed me they would be charging me a cancelation fee of $199. I called them and told them that was unacceptable since they lied to us about services and their contract states that they would charge $199 or the difference between the price of your initial treatment and the discount. Whatever. I'm done with them and with their deceptive selling practices I wouldn't be surprised if they would be the next company to get sued in Minnesota.
