Great burgers, family and dog friendly atmosphere. Service was friendly and fast. Beer was good!

Great beer, burgers, and staff. Homemade pickles and onions set it all up for a moist burger that taste next level

The beer was mediocre The food was semi-decent. The service is a train-wreck. There are better places to go in the area.

Everything we've tried here is delicious! Service is great and it's clean! Great beer and wine too! read more

Stopped here for lunch on a Monday. I had the hamburger with fries & it was very good. My wife had the fish tacos & she wasn't very pleased with it. We both agreed that it's a good restaurant & it's dog friendly. We would definitely eat here again & we would recommend them. read more

Great service. The person brought our food hot and ready to eat. The Royale with Cheese. One of the best burger and fries. The fries were crispy outside and tender inside. Also had the Trio, Mexican Trifecta, guacamole, salsa and queso. Delicious. Also has a micro brewery in house. I had a flight of 4 beers that were really outstanding. This place also has a great atmosphere, almost a beer hall, with individual tables. I would definitely eat here again read more

Cute place! Love that they make their own beer! They have wine and frose for anyone that isn't a beer drinker. read more

I had one of the freshest salads "the Champ" here and the dressing was amazing! What's really nice is that you can get a half portion with avocado! The consumé (beef broth?) that was served with the Birria Tacos was a special touch that I did not expect! There was a generous amount of chopped brisket, topped with jack cheese, onion and cilantro. The fries were crispy and tasty and the burger was done with all the salad toppings the way you'd expect it -- my only beef was that the patty was super dry and overdone. They have spacious outdoor seating in a covered patio with fans. read more

The food was good. My chicken fajita tacos were filling, the wife's brisket sandwich was pretty good and the fries were good and crisp. My beer taster flight had 4 out of 5 pours I found tasty, then ordered one as a pint. The thing that caused me to rate just 4 stars is the number of dogs in the seating area that's mostly open air but covered. My allergies didn't kick in thankfully. Service? It was chaotic. Good luck with that element of your visit. The food menu doesn't have a beer menu to accompany it. So I took a picture of the display showing the beer names behind the tap line. read more

Bear King Brewing Co. - Breweries Near Me - Marble Falls, Texas

After making the 50-ish-mile trek from Austin to the Marble Falls DMV, I emerged victorious with a freshly renewed driver's license. I even joked about bringing my seeing-eye dog to celebrate passing the vision test! They were not amused. After my ordeal, and out of hunger, I made a beeline to Bear King Brewery to toast my freedom. Bear King sits in the heart of Marble Falls, a town that reminds you of simpler, unhurried Texas. With easy, free parking and a welcoming vibe (unlike Austin), Bear King is like the friendliest spot at the crossroads of Texas charm and rustic comfort. Inside, wood beams, iron touches, and big windows create a space that practically insists you relax. Well, I reckon it was a quiet day when I came in, so that was an added plus in my opinion. I ordered the Burger Royale with extra jalapeños and their famous buffalo sauce for that Texas kick and paired it with an Amber that went down smooth as a Hill Country sunset. Then, I tried a sample new brew that tasted of vanilla and white chocolate - a sweet surprise I can't quite name but won't soon forget. Their whiskey beer made me think of pairing it with a steak and a cigar by the water. But the real MVP was my server Suzie, my trusty guide through Bear King's craft brew lineup. She took one look at me - post-DMV daze and all - and picked out just the right drinks to help me recover. Her recommendations were spot on, like a craft beer sage with a sixth sense for what a weary traveler needs. Marble Falls is a charmer, with art galleries, quirky shops, and a scenic riverside that beckons you to slow down. It's a town untouched by the rush of the city, and Bear King Brewery captures that spirit perfectly, bringing locals, travelers, and a few well-behaved pups together under one roof. I didn't sit on the large outdoor patio because, well, I live in Texas, and November is still hot, damn it. Bear King isn't just a brewery; it's a place to kick back and raise a glass to life's little victories - like surviving the DMV with your sanity (mostly) intact. If you're in Marble Falls, Bear King Brewery is worth every mile. I am sad that I forgot the seeing-eye dog at home. read more

Beer is good, service was great. Sadly, food has gone downhill. I miss the old menu with healthier options. The veggie and shrimp tacos were so good a few years ago. Recently I ordered fish tacos. The breading was a weird texture and there was melted cheddar cheese on top. I don't think I've ever seen that on a fish taco. And the lettuce on the tacos was hot and wilted - probably from melting the cheese. Yuck. I will definitely come back but for beers only. read more

Convenient location is about the only upside of this place. The food was below average. Close your eyes and imagine what brisket would taste like if served in a middle school lunch cafeteria. That's what they call "brisket" here. Beer was average. Not a lot of character in the variety of IPAs. Sat outside. Which was nice for a bit. Then here came the flies. Two big ceiling fans weren't enough to keep them at bay. There are ways to decrease the fly population in this environment but it seems like they didn't want to bother with that. Service was subpar. Waited 10 minutes to get a drink order while the table across showed up after and was served quickly. Not returning, as you might expect. read more

I.P.A's yes please. Probably the best in this area (including Austin!). They have such a wide variety of great tasting beers and a hip cool location to drink them in. They are right next to The Bluebonnet Cafe and have plenty of parking. You can walk in and find a table and someone will be around to wait on you. You can also go up to the bar to try beers. They have $14 flights if you want to sample a few and a pretty darn good food menu. Think tacos, queso, burgers. Elevated bar food for sure. They also serve (canned) wine and have a draft cocktail for those crazy people who don't drink beer but still want to party read more

My family and I decided to do Snow Day at the Science Mill in Johnson City this past January, and while I was there I was speaking to one of the workers and she recommended Bear King Brewery. I spoke to my real boss, the wife and we decided to give it a try. I wish I could give the person that recommended this place a raise because this recommendation will go down as a family favorite. My daughter had the French toast casserole which we all tasted and it is phenomenal with the creamy custard and fresh fruits. We have all said this should be a permanent dessert on the menu. We had a flight of the beers and decided to take a few home they were so good. We always have to try wings wherever we go and we are usually pretty picky about our wings we like them to be crunchy and they were crunchy enough we would have like a bit crunchier but that is a preference thing not anything to do with how they are served. They are jammed packed with flavor and perfect amount of sauce not over and not under. My wife had the chicken and waffles and thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal. Chicken was nice and crunchy and juicy and the waffle was a liege waffle so delicious. I had the dip trio and the smothered loaded fries with brisket. I will say the beer queso was great and flavorful and so was the guac now the salsa in my humble opinion was too garlicy and just not what I would consider salsa. I am going to let the picture of the smothered fries speak for themselves the sauce and veggies are so nice and the fries stay crisp up against the yummy sauces. I can't recommend this place enough. Great find and worth the drive!!! read more

Nice family friendly environment. There's an outdoor area where you can have your dog with you while you eat. It looks like they sometimes hold events too and offer board games for people to play at their tables while enjoying a nice cider. The onion rings were crispy with a lovely dip and we enjoyed the trio that came with guacamole, cheese, and salsa. I ordered the Farmers Cut with truffle fries, but really the plain fries were excellent on their own. The server checked on us regularly and everyone was friendly. read more

Great hidden gem in Marble Falls Texas. This place is what a brewery should be, great beer and a great atmosphere. We had a few blondes and an appetizer that was absolutely delicious. We will stop here again for certain when in MBTX. read more

Great burger, great fries, great beer. This is on our list as a must stop next time we are near Marble Falls

We picked up pies from our favorite pie place across the street (at Bluebonnet Cafe) and decided to give this place a try because we've always been curious. My shrimp tacos had great big pieces of shrimp and I love the fact that you can pick between corn vs. flour tortillas, because I'm always disappointed when fish and shrimp tacos are served on flour. It should be LAW that seafood tacos are served on corn tortillas people!!! I digress. The shrimp tacos are where we lost a star unfortunately... Mostly because of the sauce. The consistency of it was more like a mayonnaise, so it was very off- putting. I also feel that the sauce needed to be packed with flavor (since the tacos alone weren't) and it needed a lighter (sauce-like) consistency. I would try it again, if they rethink the sauce. Now, the burger was the rock star of the show! The patty had a great grilled, smokey fresh beef flavor. So, I kept stealing bites from my husband's plate because I was quite jealous of his order. We also ordered truffle fries and chips and queso as appetizers and they were both yummy! Sorry, no pics for those, but they're both worth ordering. As far as the beer is concerned, I'm not sure I'm really one to ask, because I'm a Dos Equis with lime and salt kinda girl... If you like strong (put hair on your chest) type o' beers, then you'll definitely like their selection. read more

Beer was good, changes each time we are there.... The fish tacos were good. We sat in the patio, lots of flies.... Obviously this isn't their fault. read more

I loved their pretzel and all their sandwiches and appetizers do look good. Their patio is a nice area to sit outside and chill for a while and at the night, it's lit up well. Dog friendly and family friendly place. I haven't tried many of their beer or drink selection but I plan to in the future. I wasn't a big fan of their frozen drinks because they are very sugary but I'd give their other drinks a try. read more

This is a tough one...I do like this spot but they have been inconsistent on menu items on a consistent basis. For instance, we have gone for brunch 4 times now. Each time we go earlier as they seem to run out of menu items. We have not been able to get the biscuits or the German pancakes. As we drive over an hour to get there, it is a bit of a disappointment. Today's visit, we came about 10 minutes after they opened. We ordered the German pancakes, thought we had "scored". , then waitress came back and said they just ran out. They were Also out biscuits and the "special". We got the hash, it was very good but not what we came for (again). No offer to do anything for us although waitress could tell we were disappointed. read more

Went to Bear King for dinner early on a Friday night. Got there a few minutes before five. There were several tables already eating and drinking, but not overly busy. We were seated quickly. The server recommended a beer for my dad who couldn't decide and even brought out a sample. We went with the fajitas for dinner and everybody agreed theirs were great. One person got the fried avocado. I got the chicken fajitas and the other person got the birrera tacos. Each came with two very stuffed tacos, but no sides. The prices were very reasonable, and the food came out quickly and fresh. I would definitely recommend. They had a nice outdoor area but as cool as it was this time of year, we opted to sit indoors. Looking forward to spring or summer and will definitely check out the patio, which is dog friendly. read more

Food was fabulous, great beer and frozen cocktails. Susan took great care of us and would highly recommend the Birra tacos

Was headed back home using Waze and it took us through beautiful Marble Falls. We stopped at this beautiful brewing company and took a chance. We were so glad we did. This place is amazing to look at and the food matches! Our server was so nice and knowledgeable on their beers and food. She helped us pick out a flight of beers and our food. First off, no matter what you order, you need to include the truffle fries ! They are fantastic! We also had the bbq wings and the plain burger. Wings were perfectly cooked and tasty. The bbq sauce was light and sweet. The burger was BIG! Hot and tasty... my flight of beers was great (Pablo Bunyon) was my fave... their beer and food menu is great, I hope to pas thru here again to try their other items... read more

While passing through Marble Falls, we decided to stop here for a late lunch. I'm glad we did! The food was great. I didn't have the highest expectations just being a brewery, but I loved the tacos! I tried a few beers and a flight too. This is a must when visiting Bear King! There is outdoor and indoor seating. The weather was beautiful so we chose outside. Comfortable picnic style seating. Plenty of parking (has its own parking lot). read more

The food is good but we had terrible service. It was a combination of things. We waiting half an hour to be seated, in a less than half occupied restaurant. The server was just bad. Too much to even note. The manager did well to apologize and helped with the bill but we definitely won't be back. Bummed because the food is good but for the wait and the price, I'd try something else. Maybe order to go. read more

We had a great experience during our lunch at Bear King. We sat out on the large patio with our dogs. I appreciated the water bowls available for the pups. Our food was very good and arrived quickly. We started with the Parmesan truffle fries. I'm not a truffle fan but the fries were krispy and the truffle wasn't too strong. My husband said the dip had more truffle flavor and he liked it. Since I don't care for truffle, I just stuck with the fries. We also had the beer cheese queso and liked it as well. I like that they offered half orders of both apps so we could try two. We each had tacos. The tacos are large and are fully stuffed. I'd like to try the burger next time. read more

We stumbled across Bear King Brewing Co. as we were driving back to our lodgings. Here was a chance to stop for a cold one and a little taste of Texas with their Pimento Cheese appetizer. Both were great. I had a Wandering Blonde Ale, which was excellent. Light and refreshing, but with real flavor -- something often missing in a blonde ale. The Hubs had a Hazy Ale, which was crisp and had an almost grapefruity tang on the tongue. Being out-of-townersof the California persuation, we spotted pimento cheese on the menu and decided to give this southern staple a try. It was fantastic -- cheesy, garlicky, oniony, with a very slight spiciness to it. It's served with excellent ciabatta bread slices that have been grilled with olive oil, I think. The bread was great on its own, and the pimento cheese raised it to a whole new level of tastiness. I'd have happily ordered a second round of just the appetizer if dinner wasn't awaiting us elsewhere. They have a good happy hour M-Th from 4-6 where the beers were $2 off. The pimento cheese app was $5.50, the happy hour beers were $4 each (16 oz), so we got out of there for just $13. Great seating areas inside and out, too. Big fans in the large covered (non-smoking) patio made it a nice place to sit on an early evening. Pups are allowed on the patio if they're leashed at all times. All in all, this place really does it right -- good beer, good food, and great ambience. Can't ask for more than that. read more

Nice brewpub in Marble Falls. Nice are to eat and drink, with a good mix of outdoor and indoor space (needed for the weather there). We stopped in in mid September and the weather was not too hot, but still sat inside. Liked the overall ambiance of the place. Crew there was nice and responsive to both questions and orders. I would say the beer was good, but not great. We had a couple of apps that were decent, but again nothing to write home about. The disappointing aspect to the night was that they were out of a fair amount of the beers, which should not be the case at a brewing company pub. However, would definitely recommend if you want a good beer in Marble Falls read more
