Very impressed with Sam & Bear electric. Needed to get a 240v plug for my new Tesla Model Y. Was thinking of getting a wall charger for $500-600 and Sam was really frank with me and recommended I save the $500 and do the NEMA 14-50 plug instead. He took the time to discuss the difference in charge time and gave some feedback on issues with wall chargers that he has ran into. He was also able to squeeze me in the next day which was amazing since I already have the car. When he got here with his team we added a few more things and he made sure to check all my breakers. Samuel came out and helped us confirm and fix a GFCI power tripping issue which turned out to be a faulty main fuse. Samuel and his staff also helped us install a new set of dedicated 20Amp sockets (and fuse) into our garage through the back of the fuse panel. He was very patient, helpful and explained to us clearly what needs to be done and why. We ended up taking up more time than he had anticipated, but he still did a very professional and clean looking fix for us. They also cleaned up after themselves which is worth noting. The total price was higher compared to what we were used to being charged, compared to getting something similar done by a "handyman". However the speed at which he diagnosed the issue, fixed the issues and finished the repairs and upgrades was excellent and worth the price. It is worth noting the "handyman" being compared to here did not fix the GFCI tripping issue, and didn't properly secure the socket's ground cable which came out when Samuel opened up the socket to take a look. Asking a handyman to fix a complex electrical issue ended up wasting our time and money. We should have asked Samuel/Bear electric instead from the start. In summary: Samuel did an fast and excellent job and was very professional. read more
