This place was amazing.... The manager, Cassi was very accommodating with superior customer service skills. The Rec area, showers, and bathrooms were immaculate. The grounds were well kept, clean and very green. The groundskeepers were courteous and respectful of your space. Great roaming room if you have a pet traveling with you. I stayed at this RV park last year in the tent area, and returned with my trailer for an extended stay. This park has an excellent club house area with a full kitchen and six showers for campers to use, as well as a laundry facility with reasonable prices. The owner of the park, Rocki, is quite nice and very accommodating. She even allowed me to plug in my car so it would not get a dead battery while I waited for an RV slot to open. The park has a beautiful view of the sunset from the West side, and is located very close to the City Of Grangeville The problems begin with the staff that is at the desk all the other times. The housekeeper, TJ, is close to completely incompetent at the desk. She also intentionally blocked both of the spaces next to the charger I was told I could use until my space opened up. Not one space. Both of them. On purpose. Then said ,"Oh I just pulled in real fast this morning." Her vehicle was blocking both spaces next to the deck for over 3 hours. I still managed to use an extension cord, but this left only 2 vehicles in 3 parking spaces. No consideration to those who would need those spaces to use the laundromat. I had to request the amount for the rent 3 separate times. She has no answers, and must check with the owner or manager for every single thing she does. It would be better to have no one at the desk at all, which is what you will find the vast majority of the time. When I did finally find out the amount of the rent, I told her I would go into town to get the cash to keep everything on time and would be right back. When I returned 10 minutes later with the rent cash, TJ was still on the phone. She paused her call for a moment and asked me if I needed anything. I had just returned with the money to pay the rent, as I said I would 10 minutes prior. I responded, "Yes, I need to pay you." TJ went into a fit of hand gestures that she was annoyed... because I had returned to pay the rent as I just said that I would, and resumed her call with me standing in the office. At that point I was done dealing with TJ for any park business, and requested to speak to Rocki, who I had made the arrangements with before moving. I was informed she would not be returning until Thursday, 4 days later. That's fine. I returned to my tent with the intention of speaking to her later. TJ went out of her way to come over to my tent with another nasty attitude, stating that Candy was the manager and I would need to speak to her about any issues, essentially to prevent me from speaking to the park owner. I informed TJ I did not want to deal with her for any other park business, I did not appreciate the rude attitude, and that I would speak to Candy about the incident later since she was responsible for the behavior and conduct of her employees. TJ denied doing anything wrong, and blamed the entire situation on the guest, and continued her terrible attitude. A complete failure of customer service. The entire unwelcoming experience has caused me to look for another RV park for long-term stay. I have been pleasant during my stay, and even took trash to the dumpster for TJ when she was busy with other things without being asked because I enjoy helping others. Because a guest will not put up with incompetence and a rude demeanor, they have no issues blaming their poor service on the guest rather than take responsibility for their lack of customer service training. To make matters much worse, the manager, Candy, attempted illegally ban me from the park on 7/19/22 without notice because I wrote this review, and prevent me from returning to my trailer and property under threat she would call the Sheriff. Potential customers need to be aware of this blatant violation of landlord/tenant law, which requires good cause, filing of proper paperwork, notice to be given etc. None of this happened. I was notified when I went to pick up a package that had been delivered by another employee. I was also informed by the owner that if I removed the review I would be allowed to stay there again. This is a major violation of Yelp's terms of service, which states in section 4 that businesses agree NOT to: *pay or induce anyone to post, refrain from posting, OR REMOVE REVIEWS, or otherwise attempt to circumvent Yelp's Recommendation Software (defined below) or fraud detection systems; (From Yelp TOS Page) From Idaho.gov regarding tenant/landlord law: UNLAWFUL EVICTIONS Landlords may not engage in any form of self-help to force a tenant out of a rental property. It is unlawful for a landlord to: 1. Fail to provide proper notice; 2. Fail to allow time for the tenant to pay the overdue rent or comply with the lease; 3. Shut off the utilities; 4. Change the locks; 5. Confiscate the tenant's property; or 6. Do anything other than institute lawful eviction proceedings *** There is a very serious problem with the management of this RV park. read more

Bear Den RV is, BY FAR, one of the few BEST RV resorts my husband and I have stayed at! You could drive or ride your bikes into town (population of about 3200) for a bite to eat or just to check it out. There isn't a lot to see or do in this small town but it is a short mile from Bear Den RV. My husband and I stopped here for one night on our way to Hope, ID. The RV grounds are exceptionally clean! They have about 25 pull-through spots and about 20 back-in spots. The four cabins were not yet complete (today is 06-16-22) but the cabins will only enhance this resort. The cabins have a fire pit central to the four cabins with seating. The recreation/community building is exceptionally clean and offers a quiet place to use the internet, work remotely or read a book if you choose not to sit outside your camp or in the elements if they are not desirable. There are 4 bathrooms inside the recreation/community building and two of those have showers. The showers are also THE MOST EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN AND SPACIOUS showers I have EVER used at an RV campground!!! The resort even provides individual bath mats to users which users can then place in a basket under the dress bench after use. The resort is adding four additional showers behind the recreation/community building, which were not complete at the time of our visit. There is no swimming pool but that is not a "must" on our list of desirable amenities. The staff was very friendly and pleasant and it was very easy to check-in as everything was ready when you walked up. Your check-in envelope was posted at the door and each envelope provided everything you needed for your stay. Our spot was right in front of the office and at the end of the day, it offered spectacular sunset views. I HIGHLY recommend Bear Den RV Resort! read more

Clean restrooms and showers, as well as a spotless common area with pots and pans, fridge, microwave, laundry, and sink. Six showers and restrooms, and never had to wait for one. This is the place to stay if you are a hunter or fisherman. The cabins are always clean and well maintained. The showers/bathrooms are immaculate. The tv room was a nice break from huntng all day. We watched the games and were kept warm because the very nice fireplace in this room. The rates are much better than the hotels in the town. It is always quiet and well kept. Great place to stop and unwind. The owners Chris and Nancy are the best hosts. The cabins are very homey and warm with TV. The bathrooms and showers are extremely well kept. The value is extraordinary in these days and times! They have 34 RV sites with full hook ups and the wildlife and views can be enjoyed while sitting in the lawns surrounded by trees. This is a great place if traveling in an RV or just a place to camp in a cabin. Restrooms are clean and cabins are updated. Not a bunch of amenities like a pool or play yard but nice kitchen and barbecue area. Laundry is clean and keep up. Management seems to have a real grasp on managing the resort. read more
