He used so many local ingredients founds nearby based on what was in season. The courses were tasteful, creative, and left us all filled to the brim. Would highly recommend hiring Josh for any event!

From the first few emails I knew that Josh was going to be great to work with. He listened to all of my ideas and together we came up with a delicious menu. He had so many amazing dishes as inspiration and really created the perfect menu for me and my guests. Josh answered all of my emails promptly and with such a kind attitude. We all absolutely loved the amazing food and the entire experience! Honestly, everyone was talking about it for days afterward. It was such a unique experience for each of us. None of us have ever been treated to such a special meal in a private home. There were many great comments about each course but the Oregon Mushroom Soup was the favorite for many! My sister doesn't usually like mushrooms but convinced herself to try the soup and then decided it was her favorite course ~ of course she loved everything else too. Josh and his assistant India were just so pleasant and approachable. That made a huge difference to the experience. We loved having both of them in our home. And... they cleaned everything up! I'm very particular about my kitchen and they didn't disappoint in that respect either. I could go on and on but really just want to say that Josh exceeded all expectations. We hope to have another occasion to work with him in our home.

It seems the business owner has a few different things going on- photography, apparel, flowers, sandwiches, and coffee. I love supporting local small business owners getting up and running and was eager to give this place a try. That being said, I was pretty disappointed by the taste of the coffee- the actual coffee itself tasted more like pinto beans and it was way overly sweetened. We ended up taking a few sips and then dumping them out. I got a poppyseed muffin as well which was good, I do believe that was outsourced. The ambiance of the place left a lot to be desired- it is located in the iconic old town St- Helens in an old bank. Inside it was pretty cluttered and lined with plants and other items from local businesses for sale. I don't plan on coming back here, it was not to my taste, not worth my money, and was lacking in that cozy coffee shop vibe. It seems popular with many other folks around- just not for me.

It's kind of a shop that is a jack of all trades. They do flowers, coffee, have cute merch and so much more. I love that for Halloween they had it all done up like Little Shop of Horrors, considering they are a florist shop first and foremost. I was feeling a little sluggish so I ordered a huckleberry vanilla latte. Iced of course. It was absolutely delicious! I loved it! We came in another time during the festivities and they were reaching a cute painting class. Such a cute place and a can't miss when you visit St Helens!

I hired Brittany to cater a small wedding reception dinner for 6 people (my new husband, my mother,…read moremyself, and 3 friends) at a friend's home in Garden Home. From beginning to end, she was a pleasure to work with: her website was beautiful and clear, which gave an accurate idea of available food options, and then, in every correspondence, Brittany was quick to respond with availability, pricing, and other details. While we were at the courthouse, Brittany showed up with plenty of time to spare and started preparing things. By the time we returned home, there were salted marcona almonds waiting for us as a simple appetizer as her delicious filo tartlets finished up. The tartlets were tremendously satisfying: enjoyed as a finger food, served cupped in a wonderfully light and crisp filo exterior with a delicate and savory creamy interior, beautifully gilded with edible flowers. Brittany then plated and served us the remaining three courses at the dining table. First was a beautiful mixed greens salad with fresh ripe berries and a wonderfully creamy and mild goat cheese (which pleased even my mom, who's picky about non-cow cheese and dressings other than ranch). That was followed by tender and juicy lamb chops (ringed with a delicious mint and marcona almond pesto). We ended with a satisfying and light cheesecake tart shingled with ripe stone fruit. Brittany kept an attentive eye on us, helping keep our glasses full and ensuring good pacing between courses. She left the kitchen clean and organized and was a calm and friendly presence throughout the meal. I'm so glad I thought to look around for a home chef as an alternative to dining out after my wedding--it made for a much more memorable, intimate, and stress-free experience than going out. If you're looking for an intimate or classy in-home or catered food experience, I can't imagine a better choice than Brittany.
