From the first few emails I knew that Josh was going to be great to work with. He listened to all of my ideas and together we came up with a delicious menu. He had so many amazing dishes as inspiration and really created the perfect menu for me and my guests. Josh answered all of my emails promptly and with such a kind attitude. We all absolutely loved the amazing food and the entire experience! Honestly, everyone was talking about it for days afterward. It was such a unique experience for each of us. None of us have ever been treated to such a special meal in a private home. There were many great comments about each course but the Oregon Mushroom Soup was the favorite for many! My sister doesn't usually like mushrooms but convinced herself to try the soup and then decided it was her favorite course ~ of course she loved everything else too. Josh and his assistant India were just so pleasant and approachable. That made a huge difference to the experience. We loved having both of them in our home. And... they cleaned everything up! I'm very particular about my kitchen and they didn't disappoint in that respect either. I could go on and on but really just want to say that Josh exceeded all expectations. This gave me the opportunity and encouragement to get back in to cooking through this one on one experience. Although, the food was delicious, I couldn't believe that I cooked it. Thanks Joseph for helping me. For some time now, I've ran out of dinner selections for my personal gatherings at home. Now being single, I have much more confidence to experiment with new dishes and ingredients when i invite guests for dinner. Highilights: Joseph introduces Vegan dishes. Gougere (cheese appetizer), Nicoise Salad (Mediterranean salad), Potato Gratin, and Peach Creme Brulee. Note: I served the Peach Creme Brulee last Thanksgiving and my family enjoyed it very very much! And my father is very selective with his desserts.

Win/win. We started the evening with some bubbly and appetizers on the heated patio. The hostess had requested a paleo style and Chef Dustin delivered. Smoked salmon on gluten free toast points was one of my favorite appetizers! So flavorful and satisfying and I didn't miss the gluten. The bison meatballs sitting on a bed of tomato jam and shaved Parmesan was a huge hit. we requested a spoon to get every bit of that tomato jam! We then moved inside and started our dinner with a gorgeous baby green and spinach salad topped with pistachios and pomegranates, adding both crunch and a bit of tart sweetness. It was the perfect starter. For the main course we enjoyed beef tenderloin which was expertly cooked, the inside pink and the meat so tender. The side of seasoned cauliflower rice was buttery and flavorful. The cherries gave a nice bit of sweet tartness to compliment the rich meat. Wines were specifically chosen for each course and when done right, as it was, it enhanced both the food and the wine. We ended the evening with a very light panna cotta topped with a crumble that added texture and crunch. The perfect desert! It was such a treat to have a chef come into one of our homes and prepare such an elegant dinner. Every single dish was well thought out, there was a flow and cohesiveness to the menu. Each course was plated artistically with colorful edible flowers and herbs. Chef Dustin was a humble chef, letting us know about the dishes and ingredients, but always staying a bit in the background letting our conversation flow. He came early, cleaned up throughout the night, and left leaving us all fully satisfied and content. I have no hesitation hiring or recommending Biscuit & Pickles for catering events or private home dinners. Within the next couple weeks, we spoke by phone and she was asked many questions about the group, the event, meal preferences, etc. We spoke so long the conversation become very personable and I then explained to her that I was looking at other chefs, as well. She emailed me within 48 hours a nice menu including appetizers and dessert. I was very impressed. I had two ladies within my group whom were vegans and vegetarians and she ensured our meal would work to their palette. When I made the decision to work with Michelle, the professionalism continued. Me and Michelle kept in contact and right up to the event to confirm the menu details, the deposit, etc. On the day of our dinner, we entered the home and the aura of the food and the presentation was amazing. We started our meal with a fruit pico de gallo mix with fresh fruit that was absolutely devine. She also arranged a charcuterie board with fresh hummus, variety of cheeses and crackers. I also needed bartenders, which she hired, coordinated and communicated with for me. Brittany and the two bartenders were professional, kind, and worked together as a team to take care of everything - table settings, bar setup, taking orders, cleaning, taking the garbage out, etc!
