We were the victims of a bad gas heat/ac installation in 2014. (You can read my review on that company here as well). We had a 5 ton unit and only needed a 4 ton. The house was literally "sweating". In addition, the duct work is a mess and Jamie has the pictures on his phone to prove it. Jamie came out and really took his time looking at the entire situation and discussing it with us. He also answered a lot of questions by email. He suggested that we could install a new 4 ton outside unit now to eliminate the sweating and high humidity, re-do the duct work when our finances were better and leave the furnace as it is. Keep in mind as you read this, that we are having to re-do a major home purchase that isn't even three years old! We also needed an additional return in the kitchen to alleviate the heat that was trapping there. He was very methodical in his inspection and estimates. James, Sean (his techs) and Jamie (owner) came out Friday, 2/17/17 and installed the new condenser and put in the kitchen return. There was no drama, no mess, only perfection! It had rained and they put down a tarp to protect the floor to the attic and covered their feet with blue booties. They were very tidy in cutting through 2 ceilings (130 year old house) to put the new return in. There was no sheet rock damage and hardly any mess. I could tell the whole job had been carefully thought through and planned out in advance. We thought his estimates more than fair. He didn't try to scare us into a complete new system. I think he actually felt bad that we are caught in this situation. They called on Saturday to make sure everything was OK and they will come for a re-check in the near future. We are so pleased, that we have already recommended Bear to two other people. You will often hear around Huntsville that, "you can't get anybody to come out." Call Bear, they WILL come out and I think you will be as happy as we are. They get my highest recommendation! read more
