Parker evaluated the cause (slow leaking evaporator coil) but he wanted to be sure the rest of the system maintained integrity by performing a pressure leak test which he did a few days later. He charged the system back up, enough to get me to the pressure test. Confirming the problem, he passed me over to Hope who provided a solution and explained in detail what needed to be done, what it would cost, and how long it would take. This was on a Friday afternoon. She was able to coordinate the required new equipment, materials and schedule their construction team for the following Monday morning. Everything was in place that morning and needless to say, they knew what to do and how to do it. They jumped on it, and never stopped. No breaks, no lunch and were finished by 2:00 PM. This was a major project, having to demo and rebuild the supply plenum, remove and replace the coil section of the furnace, install a new drain pan and drains, etc. As fate would have it, my thermostat had failed and that caused a delay getting the system to start. Richard, another airWoodlands tech came out and discovered the problem quickly and provided me with a new thermostat. From Angela, to Parker, to Hope, to Cossa, and to Richard, I could not have asked for a better team from any one, anywhere. Customer service in general has failed in America, but this group is an exception. I will never have to search for an a/c contractor. Air Woodlands is the best. (A special call out to Parker. I had rooms that were some hot, some cooler, and overall the machine was just running too much making the electric bill go up. They were able to fix some of the leaking ducts, as well as service the unit in the attic and the outside section to make sure that the house would properly cool down. After doing…read moresome troubleshooting Saturday morning to see if it's a simple fix, I was unable to get it back working so I decided to give them a call. They did a service call later that day which revealed that the board on my furnace was bad and needed to be replaced. They put in a temporary fix which allowed one of my 2 thermostats to directly control the AC for the entire house until then. Monday roll around, they came out and replaced the board which took a few hours. After being told it was done, there was still no air coming out of the vents. I communicated my problem and the next day, the owner had another tech out investigating my issue which revealed a slightly different issue than what it was originally believed to be. They got it figured out and got my AC working. They also came back the following day just to further troubleshoot and make sure they had the issue fully resolved, then also fully explained to me what was the issue and the steps they took to resolve it. I felt like they took the effort to make sure my issue was resolved properly. I stand by any business that values customer service. I recommend these guys!

I appreciate being asked about the service, asked if I wanted the service done, and quoting the accurate price for the service. As their website says, transparent. He took photographs of an issue he recommends to be fixed in the future, but was also very honest about the immediacy of said issue. During their service visit at our family home, the technicians damaged our carpet. I know accidents happen, so I tried to be as fair and reasonable as possible. I hired a specialist and explicitly asked them to quote the absolute minimum repair size using the exact same grade of carpet so I wasn't overcharging the company. Instead of doing the right thing and reimbursing us promptly, management dragged this out for over three weeks. I had to constantly follow up via calls and texts just to get an answer. When they finally agreed to pay, they insisted on sending the money via PayPal as a commercial transaction, which meant PayPal took out a transaction fee. They left me short of the actual repair cost and expected me to just absorb the fee for damage their technicians caused! I have now had to sent them a formal legal demand letter just to get the remaining $20 balance paid. It is exhausting to deal with a management team that refuses to take full accountability for their mistakes. If you hire them, take before-and-after photos of your home.

As a retired Certified Manufacturing Engineer (robotics) I know this to be a simple matter of unplugging the old component and plugging in a replacement. Checked online with Grainger, capacitors start at $60 retail. My regular A/C guy was booked for days. A friend suggested these people. I called and told them what was needed. They said it would be $99. The technician showed up and had the unit working in about ten minutes, since he didn't have to figure out what was wrong. He then billed me nearly $500 for something almost as easy as changing out a light bulb. When I was younger I would have done a simple task like this myself, but now Doctors recommend seniors stay out of the excessive heat. I just didn't expect to be taken advantage of. I have been waiting more than a month now for Michelle Winchester to get back to me with the promise of some resolution.
