This little cafe is a cute spot for a quick drink. They have lots seating and there's even an adorable reading nook. We actually sat along the back counter and played Jenga as they had it available. Our drinks were really good too. There was only one employee who I'm assuming was the owner. He was kind and worked as fast as he could so a line didn't form. It was pretty toasty in the cafe though. It was mid afternoon and the sun was coming into the windows pretty harshly so it was warm in there. We were only there for a brief time so it wasn't that bad. read more

BeanTree Coffee is currently closed at the hours that it is suppose to be open (pulled up into parking lot at 1:35pm). I went to pull on the door since on Google and Yelp says they are open and the door is locked. I called the number provided on Google and Yelp and it is not even in service. I do not know what is going on with their hours of operation but it is very misleading to customers in the area. I do not recommend this place. read more

I have been here at least 6 times, and I'm usually on top of my review game but I'm a little behind. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff (usually the same two baristas) are incredibly friendly. The one guy recognizes me and remembers previous conversations etc. The coffee is great and the pastries are absolutely delicious, fresh and made by a local baker. I love small businesses that support other small businesses. This place will not disappoint. Cute and cozy little spot. A great staple on the corner of Iliff & Peoria. Plenty of tables and chairs and a quiet environment for anyone needing a corner to study or meet up with friends. They have a wide variety of yummy pastries and their boba smoothies are great. During my most recent visit I got a Creamy Honeydew Boba Smoothie. I've tried most of their flavors but the honeydew is unique. The barista, Alondra, was super sweet and very friendly and she provided the best service I've had so far at this location. A nice place for a quick pick me up. Walked in to grab a chai tea latte around 1 p.m. and the place was pretty dead. However, I was greeted right away, got my drink and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The set up for seating wasn't my favorite. It looks like they're trying to get in as much seating as they can, but it's not doing them any favors. Lots of tables and chairs, but it's very cramped and there's not much room to move around. The server stated he had never seen this coupon before and "nobody told me about it" so would not honor it, but then offered us 25% off. I went in to grab some coffee. I was excited to try one of their blended drinks, I looked at their menu beforehand and had decided on the Blended Mocha with an extra shot. When I received my beverage I noticed it was in a cup usually used for hot beverages, and I asked if my beverage was hot or cold. They said the beverage was hot and they do blended drinks either hot or cold. From a customer service standpoint if you know your drinks come cold or hot and it's not specified on the menu, that should be a question asked at the time of ordering, not a tip offered after receiving your drink that isn't to your liking. They also didn't offer to make another beverage since they failed to disclose those details. I later heard them explaining another one of their menu items to another customer. Your menu should work for you, what is the point of having a menu if you have to talk through it. The shop had a nice vibe and it was super clean, however I probably won't be back here. read more

Have been to this coffee shop before. It's a great location for me and my friend to meet at as its halfway between our locations. They have snacks and drinks. Enough of a selection that you can find something you like but they do sell out sometimes which makes it hard. We usually meet before my yoga class so I get something light for energy. The clientele can be eclectic but most people are nice and if you want your space they don't intrude. The server today was friendly and helpful. He made me a hot chocolate but chilled. I haven't had that in forever and I love this drink. It was a nice visit and a yummy drink. Good local spot to meet friends at. Prices are not bad either. read more

Noticed this place while crossing the street at work.. and noticed the sign.. BOBA.. and I'm like.. YASSSS.. a place that has boba by work! And apparently ice cream! I came here after work just because I wanted boba and wanted to try this place out. For a suburbia type of area.. there were a lot of people there studying, working or somethingggg. Anyway.. their milk teas are kind of pricier than actual boba shops, but I get it.. they are mainly a coffee shop and the boba items are almost novelty. I ordered their coffee milk tea and it tasted pretty good for the most part- it had great coffee flavor. But I think it was overly milky which makes it really heavy.. even though milk tea is typically made of half - of half and half... also their boba.. its texture was a bit harder.. maybe it was a little old or maybe under cooked. I was in the neighborhood and wanted an afternoon pick-me-up. My Yelp app said this was the closest place to grab a coffee. So, I quickly found it, and went inside to grab a beverage. There was no line. They took my order, and I quickly had my drink. It was fine. The coffee did not have any off notes, but it was not especially rich or flavorful. The bathroom was clean (kudos for that). Probably my biggest complaint would be the outdoor tables which were being monopolized by smokers on this sunny winter day. They created an unpleasant cloud of noxious fumes that one had to pass through on the way in, and out, of the Bean Tree. Indeed, their sheer volume of puffitude was enough to make it all the way out to the parking lot. Now, I know people who like a smoke with their coffee (not as many as I used to) but for me, the smell of cigarettes pretty much craps all over the pleasant aroma of freshly brewed coffee. read more

One of my favorite coffee places in Aurora. My favorite has been a recent special, lavender matcha. I will go out of my way to go here.

I come here to do work at least once a month! I love the space and electric outlets available to plug in laptops. People are always in and out at Beantree. Great spot for students to study (free wifi), few places are open as late in this area. Also lots of board games and cards available to play and hang out. They have an awesome coffee and tea selection, and I've found more and more people are coming in for the ice cream too! The pastries and breakfast burritos are alright, only get those when you're desperate, haha. They are usually dry from sitting out too long. But definitely come for the drinks! They have a punch card for a free 11th drink! read more

Great ambience you expect from a coffee shop. Their beverages are great. I order the same thing from here all the time now but you should definitely try everything. They have a huge variety of coffee of you're a bean juice connoisseur. They got ice cream too, at least 4 flavors that do seem to rotate. Their boba and milk teas is good as well. Not too sweet, nice and creamy milk teas. The bobas are also not too sweet and are a good soft chew, the mild sweetness doesn't augment the sweetness of the milk tea by too much which is nice because I like it where it is a lot. I haven't tried many of the snacks yet but maybe one day. I have studied here a few times, the other customers are typically doing the same thing so it's actually a great spot. The background noise is minimal aside from coffee grinders and blenders which tbh don't affect my studying at all. Nearly every patron is very considerate too and uses an appropriate volume when talking to other people it's great. The students from overland who visit are also super great kids who respect the patrons as well. Free WiFi as well. Good parking lot. Going east on iliff is a nightmare though so don't do it, just make a u turn at the signals. read more

I was looking for something opened yesterday, on a cold Sunday night and I found this place on Yelp! By providing such a variety of food/drink specialties of coffee, baked goods, boba tea/smoothies, and ice cream, Bean Tree runs the risk of spreading itself thin. Thankfully, this is not the case, as the quality of everything I tried met or exceeded my expectations. The Bailey's ice cream was fantastic in flavor and texture. Coffee did the trick of caffeinating for a study session. Blueberry muffin top was a welcomed little treat. This is a nice work or study place, with a small business feel and excellent service, definitely worth stopping in. read more

Bad response to food problem My cherry croisant today had only the tiniest wedge of filling, maybe a teaspoon. When I showed to the staff, I got a shrug. Cute and quaint local coffee spot. Went here for a late morning coffee after going to the nearby Cherry Creek dog park with my friend and her pup! They have outdoor seating so you can bring your furry friends. I got a tasty white chocolate macadamia nut latte and a fresh, moist, slice of pumpkin bread with hunks it chocolate. Service was quick and friendly. They also didn't mind me leaving my phone by the sugar and stirrers to charge! I would definitely return to this place! If you want to mix it up from traditional chain coffee spots I would recommend giving this spot a try! read more

We got served the worst tasting latte. We never asked for almond milk. She charged us extra for it. When we told her that she did make a new one but didn't apologized nor did she offer the refund of 60 cents. We had to ask for it. The second latte was made incorrectly - it just tasted like milk and foam. Where's the coffee? When we complained about it she said sometimes the espresso is weak. Why would you use weak espresso? Why would you use shit coffee? What kind of coffee shop is this? Third times a charm? Nope. Still a crappy latte, yet again. Anyway, I asked for an americano with a LITTLE BIT of half and half and all I can taste is the half and half. They can't make a decent standard cup of coffee here. Beantree Coffee was conveniently a few miles down from where I was staying in Aurora, CO. Visiting CO, or anywhere I am visiting, I am constantly on the hunt for coffee shops! Being the coffee addict that I am, no doubt I had to check this place out. Very cute ambiance - most definitely a place where many can study, pre COVID of course. I came in with my family, planning to order a good amount of drinks and the barista was very friendly! Considering that she was the only one working, I felt so bad for her having to manage to make all 7 of our drinks. A line fell behind us and I felt bad, but she was very patient with us and even the ones in line. I ordered a toasted brown sugar latte with breve and it was delicious! It's not my usual drink order, and I've never seen that flavor before. I'm so glad I ordered it! I will say that the coffee could've been a bit stronger, but thats purely just personal preference. I would definitely recommend this place for all coffee lovers! read more

This place has been by my house for a very long time, and I just recently decided to try it! I'm a starbucks addict, so sometimes it's hard to destroy old habits. But this place has allowed me to slowly slip out of the starbucks grip. This nice, quiet little coffee shop is tucked away in a shoppette on Iliff & Peoria. Exposed to the public is a big sign that reads "Beantree Coffee!" The inside has a very relaxed aura. The people hanging around typically tend to be students studying and others working on the computer. There's usually one to two ladies whipping up drinks or serving some tasty foods to accompany the foods. The service is timely; these baristas are quicker than some of the ones you would find at a Starbucks! They're generally very friendly too. Coffee-wise, the coffee is usually piping hot, crisp and refreshing. The boba, however, wasn't that impressive. I tried the cookies and cream slush boba for the first time and it had this chalky texture that made my tongue dry. It also lost a majority of its luster (the tiny amount it had) about a quarter way through the drink... I was not impressed. Great place to hang out, grab a quick cup, or get some work done. They have only been open for a short time, so let's see how it goes . . . their location still leaves a lot to be desired, but at least they seem to have jumped the hurdle of trying to be another "Hooters" with a caffeine twist. The friendly staff make up for the slow service. Prices are average (think Starbucks) but if you want to vote local with your $$$ then this is a good spot. What they're missing: a loyalty program! I love this coffee shop sooooo much! Here's why in a simple breakdown: 1. The quality of coffee is The Best. No contest. I'm a coffee snob, was a corporate trainer for Peaberry Coffee for 4 years, until they hired the dude that ruined not only Perkin's but also Peaberry & I said peace out with my pink hair and baggy pants. However, Beantree still carries the coffees that the Peaberry guys found/find all over the world, the awesome frozen bears, Monin syrups, real chocolates & caramels, the best pastries, now they have ice cream and Boba! etc... 2. The staff doesn't use an auto espresso maker The coffee isn't burnt, too watery, crema perfect 18-22 second shots without me having to watch and critique. They are trained well~ 3. The staff are Awesome! I go to other coffee shops cause when I get a craving I can't always go out of my way to get to Beantree. I currently live 15-20min away from Beantree and will drive there to get my coffee- on purpose! However, the staff at other places have no customer service training, don't talk to people like friends, don't bother to make decent drinks. It's just a job to them. The Beantree staff, the opposite of all that. They are the best~~ I don't leave negative reviews. I'd rather only give my 5 star suggestions because that's a lot more useful imho If I drive 15-20min out of my way to get a cup of coffee while knowing the difference in product and staffing compared to other companies, that's gotta say 5 Stars. I go here when I'm in town visiting my mom. For the lone person on their laptop, it's a pretty good hideout. Lots of natural light, some okay food options (local, not packaged, but definitely go next door for Korean instead), and good coffee. They have plenty of plugs and small tables for the lurkers like me. It should be noted that I've seen them handle groups of 10+ multiple times and they are able to take care of all of them. read more

Really nice, cheerful but cozy coffee shop with great mix of people working, having conversations, and coming through for coffee to go. The blended vanilla bean (with extra shots) is maybe the best iced coffee drink I've ever had - just the right sweetness, with none of that sour Frappuccino aftertaste. Not sure if the owner is Asian, but the decor definitely has a modern Asian feel. Staff is friendly and efficient, and are all totally competent in barista skills. Came in just before 8 on a Saturday. One person working both the register and bar, and clearly frazzled (Latina girl with a top knot, who was very efficient despite her heavy work load). Another worker walks in, clocks in at the register with a line of 5 people waiting, then goes and takes her time in the back. When she finally comes back, husband makes a nice comment asking if they were running short that day, as an apology for them being so swamped, and we received a dead stare, monotone "no" from the girl with the brown pony tail and filthy white sneakers. My husband has been here before, but it was my first time, and I came in because of the coupon they sent in the mail. We ordered a medium regular coffee, a maple spice latte and two pastries, only so we could use our coupon, which had a $10 minimum. She acted like my husband was speaking a foreign language when he specified what kind of coffee he wanted (the Costa Rican--they offered 4 blends), to the point he had to physically point at it. You're a barista, and you've never heard of Costa Rica? Hmm. She messed up our order, and then said she couldn't apply the coupon. Are you serious? In non-millennial world, you apologize for your mistake and either re-ring up the order correctly or comp a pastry, which is of equivalent value of the coupon. My rant isn't because I didn't save 2 dollars, but because a business owner pays to print a coupon to bring in business, and then the staff is completely inept at 1) honoring the coupon and 2) inspiring any good will that would make a person want to come back as a regular customer. Tainted what was supposed to be an enjoyable morning coffee date. All cups are of the to go paper variety, which was a disappointment, as I prefer large, sturdy mugs when I'm looking to spend part of my morning in a coffee shop. Notorious BIG playing on the radio. Definitely not a cozy atmosphere. The maple spice latte was too sweet to enjoy, and I even prefer sweet things. I was enticed by the bacon crumbles, and pictured crunchy, candied bacon sprinkled on top. Nope, almost raw, soggy bacon bits under the whipped cream floating in your coffee. Completely unappetizing. I left more than half. Husband said his coffee was "good", but alas, he's not writing this review. I will say there aren't too many sitting areas so if you are going with a bigger group, be ready to take it to go.
