Beautiful inside with a great menu. All food farm to table, with craft beer, and wine. We Harvest Hosted (stayed overnight in RV) and the owners we super nice. Great place with great people.

    Great decor!

Oh, my gosh!!!! What a great place! Excellent food, friendly people and the neatest theme/decor!! We're campers and members of Harvest Host, so when we needed a place for the night, we were happy to find B&BB as an option on our route. Detours caused us to arrive much later than we planned but we were welcomed warmly. The restaurant opens for breakfast at 6 so we got to visit with Dee and Joanie while we ate. Don't miss the homemade raisin toast!!! My husband bought a bunch of funky, fun beers, too. Wonderful HH site, for sure. Be sure to stop if you're in the area. Or find a reason to make the trip if you're not! Thanks to you all!!!

Sour beer, blueberry pie iced chai and a scone.

We've passed this on the way to UIUC. Decided to stop today and had a great experience. We ordered a variety of things. Beer, a delicious iced chai latte, scones. All delicious! We finished our meal with meatloaf sliders. Highly recommend everything. Service was excellent. Worth a stop.

We had breakfast and it was phenomenal! Pancakes, potatoes, eggs, gravy, sausage, bacon, fruit...everything was delicious! Rae provided excellent service! The atmosphere was so nice. We were even able to sit outside and enjoy the weather, as well.

Cute place right off 57! Stopped here around lunch time on a Saturday afternoon on our way down to Southern Illinois. Food was really good! Both of us had breakfast. Ended up ordering a fruit plate to go because the people next to us had one and it looked so good. Coffee was good too! There were not that many workers and the service was slow. She apologized for it taking long but we were hoping for a quick lunch (one of the reasons we sat at the counter). Giving a 1 star deduction for this. We'd definitely stop there again if we were in the area. The woman behind the counter told us they've been around for about 3 years and the owners did all the work there. They made the tables out of bowling lanes. Note to restaurant: your sign outside it really hard to read. Granted there isn't too much around, but the letters are thin and hard to read.

Great food, ambience and service! Staff is friendly; a nice clean covered patio to dine with our pet. Definitely a place to stop in for breakfast and lunch during the week and dinner on weekends.

Inside the venue. Beautiful You need to see this place.

A neat find while heading north one day. Needed a coffee, found this extraordinary venue. Breakfast, lunch and supper check their times and days open. Coffee, pastries, food, all excellent. Ambience! Wow! You need to plan a trip.

We were given "samples" of corn-based "ice cream" - no dairy, no soy, no gluten. Interesting stuff, pretty good!

What a surprise!! When you pull off the highway to a restaurant your expectations aren't very high. This place is AWESOME, just what you need as you're traveling! They serve pretty decent BBQ - pulled pork, brisket (my husband had that, said it was super), chicken, mac n cheese - along with salads. Everything we had was really good. It was a very welcoming place, and the waitstaff were helpful and friendly. THe restaurant was surprisingly modern, very open and airy. We'll definitely go back, I'd highly recommend stopping there!

Great local spot right off the highway. The outside of the restaurant makes it look a little basic, but the inside is very nice and comfortable. The food was very fresh. Definitely seemed like they used a lot of locally sourced ingredients. I got the banana split and the three egg omelette. Both very good. The service was outstanding as well. I would definitely come back here again if I'm passing through.

Kemp's is probably the best place to go eat in town it seems. A good reason is because there's not much else. The food is pretty average but there's some good things for adults and families. Chill atmosphere even at times when it's crowded. It's located in the middle of downtown or whatever you call it. There's not a whole lot else to go to for a meal. Certainly explains why it gets busy. People only have a few choices and this is one of these. It's about $6 for a basic cocktail. Whole lot of great stuff including whiskey. It's about $5 to get appetizers. We got the Chips And Salsa. Has a lot of greasy fried things like wings and other meats. The menu is pretty standard as far as fried stuff. Has a lot of the basics. It's closed Sundays. That's pretty strange for them to lose out on all that revenue on weekends.

The staff here was fabulous with a special shout-out to John. What I found particularly impressive was the amazing selection of craft brews for a small town. The staff was particularly knowledgeable about both the selection and even the breweries that supplied them! I even found some of my favorite and uncommon Chicagoland brews, although I selected some excellent brews from the Bloomington/Normal area. ( Drink local!) Food was wonderful and quickly delivered. I gave five stars on food because it is top quality relative to pubs in general. The Blue Cheese burger was great. I sampled the butterflied pork chop sandwich of the other meal we had and that was a standout! Ambiance is nice as if fitting a local pub in an older downtown building. One notable feature is the walls and ceiling are covered in banners and flags of various kinds which dramatically limits the amount of background noise that would normally be in such a building. There is also a nice outdoor beer garden. This local establishment is well worth the extra minutes off Interstate 55. Also highly recommended to cycling who travel out to the northeast terminus of the trail!

Emancipation is a brewery not a lot of people have heard of because it's not close to anything of course. Has a surprising amount of variety on tap and in cans to go. They may not have a whole lot but everything is full of flavor and quenches one's thirst. Even with it being a smaller brewery it still has quite a lot. It's got several of their own beers on tap along with a few others. There's also more cans in a refrigerator. Has the basics along with a few interesting ones. More than just the IPAs and the usual. It's about $7 a pint. The Farmer's Favorite is the IPA and is a pretty good medium one that's crisp and smooth. Has a few things to snack on here. It's about $3 for the Krack Mix. Basically like Chex Mix but it's made locally. They also will let you bring in stuff. Great place that's pretty hard to find the first time going here. It's located on N. 2500 East Rd. a few miles north of Fairbury surrounded by corn fields pretty much. They're closed Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

My husband each got our own flights (see pictured). There was not a bad beer and there were several more we would have loved to try. We ended up getting a 4 pack of the Hokey Jeans because the Malo was sold out.
