It's easy to get in and out without the hassle of circling for a spot. You can park in the shade or not! Over the next few years, it continued to grow into one of South Florida's premier luxury malls, with Bloomingdale's opening in 1990 and Saks Fifth Avenue following in 1991. Burdines closed in 2004 as part of Federated Department Stores' corporate consolidation and was replaced by a two-story Nordstrom in 2006. Sears, one of the mall's original anchors, permanently closed on February 29, 2024. This was my first visit to The Gardens Mall, and everything about it exuded luxury. Parking is plentiful and free. Inside the elegant fountains and water features, lush faux floral arrangements, and sculptures scattered throughout the mall lent themselves to creating an upscale atmosphere. The shopping lineup is equally high end with designer boutiques like Talbot's, Coach, Jimmy Choo, Tiffany, Lilly Pulitzer, Chanel, Gucci, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, and many more. When it's time for a break, the elegant Gardens Café food court offers quick service favorites like Chick-fil-A, Shake Shack, and Charley's Philly Steaks. I especially loved the mural that wraps around the food court called A Story of Florida. It depicts Florida's earliest history of indigenous people and the arrival of the Spanish and ends with a space shuttle taking flight. Full-service restaurants include California Pizza Kitchen, Cooper's Hawk Winery, P.F. Chang's, and Brio Italian Grille which all have sit down dining options. I liked walking around the mall and while I don't generally shop luxury brands I did check out the Hallmark and Yeti store. I would come back for a bite to eat and to take in the beautiful surroundings. Even if designer labels aren't in your budget, it's worth stopping by to window shop and enjoy the tranquil vibe while taking advantage of very appreciated air conditioning, which is so vital this time of year.

The store is not particularly huge, but I have bought luggage, purses, sunglasses, home decor, and plenty of clothing here. I do get caught in the random things in the checkout aisle, and I have to be firm not to keep grabbing things on the way out. There are usually several checkout cashiers available in the long checkout counter. The changing rooms are sub par, but that is pretty standard. I have found some fun Betsey Johnson jewelry here, and a lovely linen swimsuit cover.

My experience at this supercenter…read morehas run the gamut from smiles and a restoration in my faith in humanity because of friendly, competent employees who strove to go the extra mile all the way down to crushing disappointment with the occasional employee who really couldn't give a flip about anything. It really is a hit or miss kind of thing. But I remain eternally optimistic. I often wonder if this is just an Walmart thing or not. I can't understand why if something is available in several different flavors they either don't have the one that I want or are out of it. This doesn't seem to be unique to this store either. I've experienced it at Walmarts all around the country. In a similar vein, frequently when I find something that I like, it doesn't seem to take that long for them to discontinue it. Then when I ask the people in charge of that particular product, they all seem to shrug their shoulders and say "well that's just Corporate". So it all seems to also be the luck of the draw on whom you get to help you. Some of these employees seem to be very unhappy for whatever reasons and maybe they want to share. Personally, I would say that if you were not happy in your job then you should find a job that does make you happy. On the other hand, I have been fortunate to find some associates who are kind, helpful, patient, and wonderful and they have my deepest gratitude for all the ways they have helped me. They are stoic, dedicated, and devoted to their customers and I think Walmart should do everything in their power to keep them because they are the company's greatest asset. May God bless them each and every one of them. It's good to know that Walmart is an American company because in some ways it's a lot like the country itself. The stores are ginormous and while they may not have everything one might want, they've still got a lot of stuff! It's also made up of a lot of people from all over the world and they're working hard to feed their families and improve the company. Things aren't perfect but we're all still trying to live our best lives in our pursuit of happiness. That's America!

I get delivery from this store and pay for the Walmart + membership. Every single order has an…read moreissue - they give one delivery driver (who puts things in their trunk in 100+ degree heat) five or so orders, and then the stuff sits in the car for sometimes two hours before it arrives. Everything cold is always completely warm. Meat, ice cream, all of it. My berries will be dumped out of container, this time a sauce with the lid off spilled into the bag. Getting groceries, putting them in a bag and having them delivered sounds easy but this store has perfected messing it up.

Currently this store is undergoing extensive renovations and everything inside is jumbled up and difficult to navigate, with rows moved closer together to accommodate the screened off construction. I needed to grab a couple of simple kids clothing items in the past month, and both times, finding items was disorganized and stressful. Adult clothing was mixed in with the kids clothing, and there was little to no signage indicating where anything might be. Until the renovations are finished, I would avoid any extensive shopping trips here!

Many employees were at the food courts and shops, and they are usually very kind! Only go to the Chick Fil-A in the morning or afternoon, the nighttime staff are horrible, but I feel as that was to be expected. The number of stores you can choose from is honestly amazing. You have the food courts, of course, but then you have the shops like the GMC or the Auntie Annes, or the Bath's and Body works, it has a lot in my opinion. Sure, it doesn't seem like a lot but compare it to the more... simplistic malls. Did have to knock a star off for value, because everything here is quite expensive. They also have restaurants at the entrance you can go to before you exit if you want. Overall does most things pretty nicely, I love the logo on the outside of it. Not sure why it's called the treasure coast mall though when there are a lot of cities on the treasure coast. But whatever.
