I broke my favorite necklace with too much use. I took it to various bead places in San Francisco to inquire about having it restrung and the lowest price to do it was $75 and the cord they were proposing to use was not at all like the original cord. I visit Grass Valley often and I knew of Beads Galore there. I called them and they quoted me a very reasonable place to restring the necklace, unlike several reviews that mention that they are pricey. I received the necklace yesterday. They used the perfect cord width and length, cleaned the beads, and did a beautiful job restoring it. It looks brand new! The customer service was outstanding, and the people I spoke with were eager to help and do an excellent job. I highly recommend this shop as I am a very satisfied customer!! read more

On 06/27/2020 my wife and I walked into Beads Galore. The lady working in the store yelled at us saying that we needed masks, my wife politely informed here that I was hearing impaired and that I can't wear a mask because it covers my hearing aids. The employee very rudely said that we couldn't come in her store and as we were walking out yelled at us saying that we were rude for not wearing a mask. She might want to read the ADA rules regarding people who are hearing impaired. read more

This is the only place in Grass Valley to get beads and supplies. If it wasn't, I would not go there. The owner is very rude. She has been insulting to me more than once to the effect I avoid asking her questions if at all possible. The last time I was there her response and insulting gestures directed at me ruined the rest of my day. Additionally, she is nasty to her staff. I was in there with a friend once and witnessed her berating a young employee, probably new, because she thought that she ( the worker) MIGHT have priced some beads wrongly. I was embarrassed for and felt sorry for the staff member. The owner would be doing herself a favor if she stayed home and let her workers run the store. read more

When I need something right away, I come here. They have a higher price, but its the only business that is in Grass Valley. So Michaels in Auburn has a much better selection of beads and a better sale price. One of the good things about buying beads here would be a discount card that when you buy $100 you get $10 back. read more

I love Beads Galore! This place has pretty much everything you need to make your own jewelry and if they don't have it, they know where to get it. The staff is super helpful and they will help you put something together if you need them to. They are very knowledgeable and can answer most questions related to jewelry making. The store has great classes that cover the basics all the way through to enamelling, soldering and metalsmithing. I do a lot of comparison shopping online and I have found that Beads Galore's prices are competitive and you don't have to wait for delivery. They don't carry just beads. They carry wire, hammers, copper blanks, torches, enamel, you name it. I don't know any other store around that carries enamel, just online sellers. In addition to all that, should you happen to need a gift for someone, you can find that too. They carry jewelry by local artisans, lotions, geodes, all sorts of treasures. The price is pretty high relative to other stores and the staff is pretty much a hit or miss whether you will find someone who is helpful or someone is snotty. You are expected to catalog and keep track of the prices and with the open bins they can get confusing or just misfiled. I've had them blame my daughter for having an incorrect price for something. OMG!!! I went to this store yesterday for the first time. I can't believe how many beads were in that store. My biggest problem was trying to figure out where to start. The lady in the store was nice and showed me how to find what I want. I loved all the metaphysical stuff, and really neat stones but wanted to make accessories for showing my horse. Poor customer service! I brought a sacred necklace from India to get fixed, an the owner had me pay in advance... never again. Long story short it took forever to get repaired. The lady told me how many allergy pills she took that day... which was an excessive amount. Just amazing. read more

I love this place. Absolutely love it! They have high quality beads and all sorts of cool stones as well as all the fasteners, wire, etc to make jewelry with. The people who work there know their stuff, are helpful and courteous. I feel they are not cheap, but they are also not expensive -- I spent eight years in the SF bay area and still only bought beading supplies at Beads Galore because of the better price and selection. Plus, they have a half-off selection, which changes every month, and they have a customer rewards card. I highly recommend this store. read more

While this store has a vast, attractive assortment of beads, crystals, etc. the customer service is horrific. The cashier actually laughed AT my daughter & me as she was ringing up our purchase. I agree with the other viewer - while this store has a great selection, it truly is a hit or miss experience. The prices are very high. There's a bead store off of Douglas Blvd in Roseville next to Petroglyph that has a great selection of beads - WAY more than Beads Galore at way more reasonable prices, with more sales. Honestly? Ben Franklin has a great selection of beads and findings and materials for a lot cheaper. Also? The prices are more clearly marked at Ben Franklin, unlike here. I really hate having to take an entire hook full of beads to the cashier just for one small strand - it's annoying. Otherwise? I love their beads and the convenience of having them nearer to me than the Roseville store. read more

Im a local wire artist and I've gotten their "sterling silver wire" 3 different times and each time the wire was silver fill!! The most recent time I went in and bought 22 gauge square wire, first the lady tells me its 1.75$ a foot so I tell her the amount I need. Then at checkout, she ask's what the price was again and I tell her what she had originally told me and now she is telling me it was 2.75 a foot!! I ended up spending 16$ on only six feet of wire that I went home to use, come to find out it was fake silver fill! I've never experience a store selling fake silver at an up-charged price. For 5$ you can buy an oz of silver fill that there charging 2.75 for. The first time I thought it could have been a mistake, but after a third time I'm just disappointed and feel taken advantage of. I thought about going into the store and getting my money back, but I did not want to deal with the dispute. I just wanted everyone to know instead not to buy "silver" wire from here because its FAKE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!!!! read more

An absolute awesome addition to the Brunswick area. The new and improved beads galore has so many beads, rocks, jewelry, and cool knickknacks that it can be hard to not spend your hard earned money. Their prices are "high" because it's a local "mom and pop" store. The owner is a wonderful person and all of the employees are considerate and knowledgeable. I find that every time I go in, my day is significantly made better. Go to Roseville to buy beads, or Ben Franklin, Beads galore is the best. read more

Very impressive store with massive amounts of options and inspiration in every price range. Everything is beautifully organized, clean, and very well labeled. The young ladies behind the counter were kind and eager to offer help, but also let my friends and I shop without being too attentive (just how I like my bead shopping).
