I will never go there however since it took this long to get a refund. I had to message rather aggressively to get my money back. This is absolutely appalling business practices!

I contacted my friend who also attended with her daughter- they also had not received any word about the finished houses. My friend called and was told by the owner a bunch of excuses about the kiln being broken and various unforeseen circumstances but was assured the fairy houses would be available soon. Fast forward to a few weeks later and the shop is closed down and empty. No contact from anyone from this business. Where is my childs fairy house that he worked so hard making? If there is no finished house, where is my refund? This place was quick to take my $50 payment for the class and never made any attempt to reach out and explain anything that may have happened. There were many many kids at this class and I can only imagine they made a lot of money that day. So upsetting to see a business scam children.

I found a hat I'd like to make and the gal told me what pattern and she used yarn she personally dyed. My thought "OH I want to support that." I spent some time choosing 2 colors I needed for the hat. While paying for my yarn I looked forward to some crafty talk. Mid transaction someone else came into the shop. They were welcomed. Fine, but she never returned to talking to me. Kept talking to person who walked as she knew him. Without a word off handedly gave me my receipt. Done with me a guess. That put me off a little. One never knows when someone is in need of some connection.

There is a palpable tenderness between the paired creatures, and each face exudes personality. Works run from very small (necklace size, some with wife Kathryn's additions) to quite large (perhaps 2 feet tall?) and from 10s to 100s (low 1000s?) of dollars. I met Robert, aka Finn, and his wife Kathryn (also an artist, and uses some of her husbands creations as a part of her artwork!) at the Mill Valley Art Festival. They are both friendly, approachable, personable folks ... the kind of people you'd love to have as neighbors/friends and have over to dinner.

Maps took me what I guess was "close enough," but I was in the middle of the road. Looking around I saw a quilt flapping in the breeze. SMART! Didn't have a particular project in mind, but I have been wanting to make some more colorful tote bags. Super nice employee found me a pattern. It took 6 fat quarters and I found a beautiful prerolled sample of those.

I was in the shop a few weeks ago with an entire tribe of family while visiting for a funeral. I brought a quilt top with me that I had just finished. It is108" x 95" so I needed 10 yards+-. When we (all adults)came thru the door we were not sure they were even open because not a single one of us were greeted. After we wondered our way thru to the back of the store we realized there was in fact someone at the cutting counter, she never looked up from her cutting tasks. After we found a couple of options we inquired if there were any additional bolts in stock so that we could get our 10 yds, without hesitation, the answer was a hard NO. At that time, a colleague apeared from the office and reinforced the NO. I then inquired about ordering a bolt and I'm not sure I was even answered. I was so disappointed because they had such a wonderful selection. After leaving, we all collectively agreed that the customer service was one of the worst any of us had experienced and were glad that our money was not spent there. I'm guessing the shop does the majority of their business thru mail orders and get very little walk in business so customer service or interaction is just something they don't feel at all interested in. I hope this was just a situation of it being a bad day for the 2 ladies that were there and they normally find themselves to be friendlier, kinder and more helpful. Unfortunately a brick and mortar store will lose a sale.
