I've had items shipped and they are fast and wrapped well. What's the most important is this shop supports local artist and amazing small artists. They support several female artist and welcome all. My friend and I came up from LA to have a fun time in Nevada City and Grass Valley. For the most part the people are so incredibly nice, helpful and friendly. We wandered into this store and there are some cute things but way over priced, even as compared to Los Angeles. Nonetheless we bought a few cards and lesser priced things, only to be treated so rudely at check out. The owner (or cashier, we don't know), didn't even look us in the eye as she rang up our orders. She never said hello, goodbye, or thank you. It was so dismissive. We rang up our orders at different times, but by the time we met back on the street to find our car, we were like; "was that woman a bitch or what!!!" We both had the same experience. I have been here every time we visit Nevada City, and it is by far my favorite store. It's beautifully curated, all the items are thoughtful and well placed. I feel like they have something for just about everyone. They have some organic beauty products, home goods, clothing (including nooworks), tarot/oracle cards, and stationary items and more. I definitely wanted to get everything, but since budgets are real, I got a gorgeous pair of hand crafted earrings and my partner got a razor and extra blade refills. It's an utterly captivating mix of artifacts and intention around them. I wandered into this store not long after it opened. I was impressed by the variety of nice items they were selling, mostly gift things and some jewelry. But the entire experience was totally spoiled for me when, as I browsed through the T-shirt rack, I came across one that said, "Nevada F*****g City." I was stunned. What a brilliant way to promote your town! I was amazed. How come they didn't have my size?!? I asked the cashier and she just shrugged and said "We're f*****g sold out." Or something like that, I wasn't really paying attention because I was looking for a small size to get for my 7 year old. He would f*****g love it. I've since been impressed deeply by the wide variety of talented local artists and craftspeople that are displayed at this amazing little store. Kitkitdizzi is a MUST VISIT in Nevada City! I especially love its spacious new location. Whoever is doing the merchandising is an aesthetic genius - every time I go in it looks different yet familiar. They sell some of my favorite California-made goodies like Juniper Ridge incense, Urb Apothecary, Debbie Bean stained glass, Bathing Culture liquid soap, those incredible handmade knives by that local teenager (oops I forgot your name), and are basically the Fat & The Moon showroom (love my Sage & Rose Face Mist). Kitkitdizzi is the loveliest store I have ever encountered. Kitkitdizzi is a fern that grows only in that geographic region, its other name-mountain misery, though there is nothing at all miserable about KKD. This little hobbit hole of heaven has a lovely culled selection of local art and jewelry, as well as some vintage finds and crafts. KKD is one of those places that, as soon as you step across the mantle, your heart flutters little butterflies of sunshine and Gold. After all, it is Gold Country. Just moved to Nevada City -- about the same time this shop opened. And it embodies what I love so much about the town: funky and fun and totally low-key, yet sophisticated and stylie, too. Locals are always coming in, saying hi, checking out the great stuff that local artists have made -- everything from leather to wood to silver jewelry to upcycled clothing -- and yet it's not too narrowly-focussed; there's stuff from all over the west coast curated by the women who opened the store. I drop in there a lot, and covet a lot of what's on the shelves -- and love that I don't have to go all the way into the boutique shops in the Bay Area to find stuff I like! read more

I'm giving 3 stars because I do think it will appeal to the boho set with lots and lots of money to spare (ie. $130 little metallic rainbow purse). To me, it looked just like any other store in Venice Beach... which is fine, just not refreshing or authentic in any way. I've always enjoyed shopping at Kitkitdizzi for the wonderful products and lovely ambiance, however, I don't think I'll be going in again any time soon. The customer service is terrible and it really ruins the experience. I've gone in a number of times over the past couple years, and still to this day have never been greeted or acknowledged in any way by any staff members. It's disheartening and I wish they would take more of an interest in making their customers feel comfortable and welcomed. :-( read more
