Little things like Fiji water, fresh soft towels (and a black towel for makeup), full array of toiletries, and a welcoming comfortable firm bed. Despite having alllll the things to do in Boston, I was excited to get back to that room and that bed, and I slept like a log. I like a good bed when I'm traveling and I would never stay at another place if I had the option. My favorite aspect was having a separate bedroom and living area (with pull out couch). All things comparable, I've stayed in a thousand hotels, I've traveled Boston thoroughly. This will be my go-to forever. Whether traveling single, as a couple, or with my kids, I will look at 284 first and foremost. Kid-friendly: yes! I would definitely stay here with my kids (ages 9, 11, 13). Safe, fun, welcoming, and wallet-friendly. Special bonus and wow impression: each room is themed after a different artist. I love love love this concept and intrigued me a thousand times over. There was a TV, safe, steamer, robes, Nespresso machine, fridge, complimentary Voss water (both sparkling and still), and lights and curtains controlled with buttons. The bathroom was very spacious with hand towels on both sides of the sink, which I appreciated so my boyfriend and I could each have one. Spacious room and closets. They truly thought of everything. My only complaint was that it was a little noisy, but that was from the street traffic below throughout our entire stay, so it really wasn't anything the hotel could control. What really stood out was the staff. Every single person we encountered was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We received two complimentary bottles of water each day, along with snacks in the room. There were also tea and snacks available downstairs every day, which my daughter absolutely loved! After we checked out, I realized I had accidentally left something in the safe. I called the hotel, and Diamond helped me right away. You are extremely close to all the sights and restaurants. All of their rooms are extremely spacious with very big closets. Each one has its own unique decor. The whole place is extremely clean and housekeeping comes every morning. There is a fridge, microwave and bathroom on each floor. The owners are the most helpful people ever! They helped us find parking, get our T passes and even went through the map with us. There is a T stop right outside their house so you can take it everywhere downtown! I loved not having to take the truck anywhere. There are a few restaurants right across the street. There is also a whole foods. You cannot beat the price and location!! The desert martinis were more memorable than whatever cake we chose, but--again--I can't remember the desert being bad, just forgettable. They have breakfast for you every morning, and you can either eat in your room or eat at the big dining table downstairs. Downstairs is a great opportunity to chat with the other people that are staying at the BTI. I would recommend trying to get a room with your own bathroom to prevent the awkward walking through the halls in a towel moments with strangers. My favorite part about BTI was the freshly baked cookies and snacks they had every afternoon. It was like coming back to a home with all the great smells of food cooking and people happy to see you. The staff here was wonderful - so friendly, helpful and accommodating. They didn't mind that I hung out with my parents at the Inn and even ate some of their food. Another plus is the VHS library they have. They have tons of movies you can watch for free, and they have tons of guidebooks for those visiting and unfamiliar with Boston. Tell all your friends and family to stay at the Beech Tree Inn.

The breakfast was an excellent continental breakfast that included home-baked sweets and plenty of healthy options. When returning in the evening, I often had tea and a freshly baked cookie or brownie. It's close to Coolidge Corner, which has plenty of places to eat out. It's near the T. The wifi was free and fast. I was delighted to stay at the Beech Tree Inn, and highly recommend it.
