I ordered a spicy boil, and got plain steamed seafood, potatoes, corn and shrimp with garlic butter ladeled over it. Mushy ammonia blackened shrimp also a bad sign. Just tried Beachside Seafood. What a find! Fresh food, cooked to order, large portions. We had the scallop basket and Dungeness Crab basket. 5 scallops perfectly cooked with corn, red potatoes, sausage and bread. Perfect crab, well seasoned. We'll be back for sure. read more

I went to the original one on 192 and they were awesome! But I tried this place out and they aren't as good. The place is brand new, but the floor was so dirty and the bathroom too. I almost slipped and fell because there was butter all over the floor. Some of the people that work there like the manager Crystal was so fake and rude. I told her about the issues no she was rude. I could see the workers in back picking their ass and then handling my food without gloves on. I couldn't even eat the bread because of that. All the hype, and they suck. All the seafood is so mushie. All the seafood is frozen, so pretty much, go to Winn-Dixie and buy frozen seafood and go home and cook it yourself for half the cost. What ever happen to fresh seafood? The "poached" fish is cooked in a microwave, so if you want microwaved food, just go buy the frozen seafood and cook it at home. They defrost their seafood with hot water also, so getting sick is a for sure thing eating there. I will never eat there again or tell my friends to. I made sure to let all my friends know not to go there. Go to the original one, where it all started, not the fake one who ripped off the original one. Don't let a empty shopping center fool you! Beachside Seafood is located on the south corner of the shopping center and you might not realize they are there and open. They open up at 9 and close at 11. We showed up at 3 on a Sunday and it was empty. (Good for us) The food is Great and the staff friendly. They told us they use to be take out only and now they are full service. TVs to watch the game and relax. They have beer and wine. Price was a little higher then a "Sports Bar" but good food cooked right is the key. We will be back! read more

I read the reviews here on yelp and decided to give it a try. It is sooo very expensive for frozen seafood. The seafood lovers is $83!!! And you only get 2 lobster tails, 14 shrimp, 6 scallops, 2 snow crab clusters and some corn and potatoes. Wow!! You could just to the grocery store and buy it fresh, not frozen and make it yourself for so much cheaper. It is a total rip off. The shrimp were mushy and the crab was stringy and fishy. I have eaten at a place on US1 called Melbourne Seafood Station, and it serves pretty much the same kind of food for less money. You get a lot more food. I hate leaving a place after spending this kind of money and still feeling hungry. I didn't find the atmosphere to be to friendly. The place was dirty, be careful and try not to slip on the greasy floors. I will just go to the one on US1 from now on. Better service and bigger portions for your money. read more

We love this place! We come here often for lunch and typically split one of the low country bowl combo baskets. You can choose to get various combinations of shrimp, scallops, and/or lobster, etc., and all of the baskets come with potatoes, corn, garlic bread and sausage. While it appears to be almost like a fast food place, it may take a few minutes to get your food, but it is well worth it. read more

Every year we take out 3 grandchildren out for a seafood feast before going back to school. This was our 1st time at Beachside Seafood and it was excellent. We had the #133 feast for 5 and it was enough food for the 5 of us with some left over. The quality was excellent and it was cooked to perfection. My husband and I had dinner here while on vacation and were extremely disappointed with the food. Two nights before, we had eaten at the Melbourne Seafood Station and had the most amazing food so I'd like to think the bar was set high but I don't really think that was the cause of disappointment. At both restaurants, we ordered identical meals, the Seafood Lover for 2 but found huge differences between the meals. At Beachside Seafood, the lobster tail was so over cooked we had to use a knife to get it out of the shell and then to cut it, the shrimp was also extremely chewy and was in desperate need of cocktail sauce to make it enjoyable, the crab legs were sufficient but nothing over the top. Right after our order arrived the waitress had to tell the table next to us that they were out of corn and that most of the items on their menu include corn so be ready to pick an alternative. I really don't know how that happens with a side you include in every plate!! Overall, the food was luke warm, lacked any kind of seasoning or flavor, and was definitely not worth the money. Upon returning next summer, I'll definitely be taking my business across the bridge where I can actually save money and get amazing food. read more

I was excited about eating here, but to my disappointment the seafood was not very well prepared. When you pay that much for seafood you only hope that it will be as good as how much you paid. The garlic sauce that was poured all over my seafood tasted more like crisco not butter. The seafood was mushy and had a very strong odor to it. I always thought good seafood would not have that kind of odor. The of the workers had the nerve to ask for tips. The tip jar was by the register, so why would I tip before I knew what kind of service was going to get. The cashier said they all split the tips, even the dishwasher. What kind of service did the dishwasher give me? Really I felt bad for the poor waitress that has to do all the work, but then split her hard earn money with the dishwasher and cook who did not do any of the waitressing. Yummy lobster tail and shrimp boil. A neighbor recommended this restaurant. Casual dining with tasty food. Crystal was very helpful with explaining my choices, so next time I will get the butter on the side (causes soggy paper if you don't) and I will skip the garlic bread and get an extra piece of corn. I went late afternoon, but before dinner so the place was quiet, so my food came up quickly and it was delicious. I am so tired of the fried or overly grilled seafood offered at most restaurants. Family and I were visiting Melbourne and had a craving for some sea food. After pulling up available options close to the Hilton on the beach, we decided to give Beachside a try. First impression walking in was, "if the food is as good as this place looks we made the right choice." Very clean atmosphere, great sea side decor with a modern look and even the bathrooms were clean and stocked. You are able to see the kitchen from the tables, which is nice. Plenty of room for large crowds and the tables are even very appealing. Parking is plentiful and easy as well. Now to the food - we ordered a crab cake for an appetizer and it was one of the best crab cakes we have had. Not a frozen heavy breaded crab cake. It looked and tasted like 100% fresh crab meat ( no filler and breading) and it was delicious. I had crab legs and it came with corn, potatoes, sausage, and clusters of legs. Extremely good! Wife had shrimp and grits. The kids had shrimp and chicken strips and there wasn't anything left! Great flavor, great portions, and the price was very reasonable. Cheapest dine in we had all week while visiting Disney and the beach and it was one of the most enjoyable. The wait staff was top notch as well and made us feel at home. (If I could rate minimum stars I would) All the silverware was dirty every fork, knife, and spoon. It had a white film at it??? I also heard an ex employee quit while yelling f*** and b****. I was there was my kids and this is advertised as a family establishment. This wasn't my first time there either I had gone before (that's when the silverware accident occurred) and I thought "maybe it was a bad night" so I went back and was disturbed and disappointed yet again....... also the seafood is all frozen, you can see them in plastic bags being defrosted under water. 0/10 do NOT recommend over prized food that comes out cold with hard old toast. Super sad had higher expectations. Not to be ignored the employee also mentioned there was roaches in the back. Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting.
