Smash burger was good but not better than other options in the area. Loved the beer and bev selections on our visit! Everything felt a little overpriced though. Service as phenomenal! Decent beach bar, but a little too kid-friendly for my taste…read more I came here hoping for dinner on the water, good music, the sound of the ocean, and maybe some friendly conversation with the locals. Instead, one of the main seating areas was partially taken over by strollers, toys, and other kid gear. I understand that restaurants can't control every family that visits, but the overall atmosphere felt more like a playground than a relaxing waterfront dining spot. To the staff's credit, my server was kind enough to move some of the strollers and toys so I could get a seat. Unfortunately, it had just rained and the chairs were still soaked. While I appreciated her making room for me, it would have been nice if someone had also taken a moment to wipe down the seat before it was offered to me. Instead, I had the unpleasant experience of sitting in a sopping wet chair and spent my evening here with a soggy backside, which definitely put a damper on the experience... Pun intended. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, which was good, although I was a little surprised to receive it in a plastic cup. Maybe that's standard here, but it wasn't what I expected. For dinner, I tried the mahi tacos after seeing them mentioned in several reviews. The fish itself was good, but the tacos were absolutely covered in sauce, to the point that it drowned out the taste of everything else. Also, thatsynot what they looked like on the reviews I saw. If I knew they would have so much sauce (or any sauce actually) I would ordered it on the side. I ended up removing most of the sauce-drenched toppings just to taste the fish. I also requested a side salad and was told the only option available for a side salad was a Caesar... despite several salads being listed on the menu. I guess it was too hard to toss some salad greens into a bowl with a side if vinaigrette The parking situation is also very confusing. All the spaces indicate that parking is for guests and there is signage along the fence threatening to tow anyone who parks along the fence. I had to call the restaurant to confirm where guests could park (along the fence, as long as it is not overnight or just to go to the beach) and fortunately my car was still there when I returned from dinner. Overall, the food was decent and the waterfront location is nice. If you're looking for a casual, family-friendly beach bar, this may be a fit. However, if you're hoping for a quieter place to unwind after work or enjoy a peaceful dinner by the water, you definitely want to look elsewhere.

The fish was great, it is haddock and not overly breaded and the Mac and cheese was very good. It is not the box mac and cheese that many places try to give you as a side. I got the crab cakes that are on the small plate menu. They were not large and over breaded. They had a lot of crab meat and the sauce that came with the fennel salad on top was very good. The server Kila and the owner Krista are awesome and the experience was great.

The burger itself was decent, but the patty-to-bun ratio was off. The bun was good quality, just way too big for the patty. I'd honestly rather see a smaller bun so the burger doesn't feel like it's hiding. On the plus side, the toppings were on point--just the right amount of lettuce, onions, and sliced tomato, which helped pull it together. My wife ordered the Swap Chicken Goofy Foot, which is their plant-based chicken substitute wrap. Her take? It was okay. Not bad, but not impressive either. It tasted exactly like what you'd expect from a meat-free chicken swap in a casual beachside spot--edible, simple, and forgettable. Too much other stuff in the wrap. It didn't wow her, but it also didn't offend. Would she order it again, probably not. That pretty much sums up the experience. No frills, simple, decent food, decent ambiance, and great service. The wait was minimal and the meals arrived quickly. Excellent service! This isn't the place you go for culinary surprises--it's the place you go when you want something easy, reasonably priced, and reliable near the beach. I would give this place a try, just keep expectations in check.

Great smashburger and chicken tenders in an unexpected location…read more We decided to try Got Smashed in Melbourne Beach after seeing their smashburgers advertised and hearing from friends that they had good food. The restaurant is actually located inside a gas station, so don't be surprised when you pull up. Parking can be a little limited depending on how busy the gas station is. Once inside, I was very surprised by the amount and selection of food they had available. You order at a small counter next to the regular gas station counter, and the Got Smashed staff was very friendly and efficient. We ordered one of their specials that included chicken tenders, along with a smashburger called the Gentleman and an order of fries. The total for everything was about $30, which I thought was reasonable for the amount of food we received. We just walked in without ordering ahead and only waited about five minutes for our food, which I thought was very quick considering everything was being prepared for us. The smashburger was excellent and definitely lived up to what we had heard about the place. The chicken tenders were also excellent, and at around $10.99 for the meals, I thought both were well worth the price. I was not as much of a fan of the French fries or the potato wedges that came with the special, but that certainly wouldn't keep me from going back for the burger or chicken tenders. Overall, Got Smashed was a pleasant surprise. It may be tucked inside a gas station, but the food, friendly service, quick preparation and reasonable prices make it well worth stopping. If you are in the Melbourne Beach area and looking for a good smashburger or chicken tenders, I would definitely recommend giving them a try. Enjoy!

I really wanted to enjoy this place, and I don't leave a one-star review lightly. Unfortunately,…read morewhile the service was kind, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, the food was one of the most disappointing meals I've had in a very long time. We tried several different things across the menu, and unfortunately none of them landed. The chicken tacos were incredibly bland and lacked seasoning or flavor. The sushi was especially disappointing and felt more comparable to something I could pick up prepackaged at a grocery store than what I would expect when dining out. The salmon with fingerling potatoes was easily the best-looking dish, but unfortunately the flavor didn't match the presentation. Both the fish and accompanying vegetables were dry and underseasoned. The biggest disappointment was the ramen. Before ordering, I specifically asked whether it came with a soft, gooey egg and was told yes, so I ordered an extra. Instead, both eggs arrived completely hard-boiled and unseasoned. The steak was overcooked, and the broth had an overwhelmingly strong balsamic-like flavor rather than the rich, savory flavor I expected based on the menu description. We also browsed the marketplace, which was very sparsely stocked during our visit, and the items that were available seemed considerably overpriced. I can only speak to what it looked like on the day we were there. I do want to give credit where it's due: everyone who took care of us was friendly and welcoming, and we visited during happy hour, which made some of the pricing a little easier to swallow. Unfortunately, even at happy-hour prices, the quality of the food simply wasn't there for us. I hate leaving reviews like this, especially when the people were so nice, but after trying multiple dishes and being disappointed across the board, I can't justify more than one star. Sadly, this is not somewhere I would return.

Overall, a fun brunch spot with a great vibe--especially if you're going for the mimosas.
