Incoming here for months and I am so sick of waiting in line because they are being pushy and trying to sell customers in front of me, it should not take more than 30 minutes to get into a bed and they should not be spending so much time trying to sell people when everyone is waiting in line behind you have already bought things that have expensive memberships. Review as someone who has had MANY successful spray tans. The girls were cute and nice and it didn't bother me that they were a little pushy about the membership cause I ended up not having to pay as much with them helping me cancel when I wanted to. If the tan is so expensive, you wouldn't expect the tan to be so horrible. I'm a seasoned customer of spray tans and have loved spray tan booths from Suntan city specifically but this is by far the worst I have ever looked after a spray tan. The booth only gets the front and back, so I have these crazy obvious white strips on each side of my body, and then just the most obvious orange tan only on the very front and back. To be fair, I didn't add any "bronzer" which they said would help with "undertones" but I never really got a solid explanation on how it would help. But anyways, my front and back have a lovely orange glow, and my side of my legs and stomach are as pale as ever. Its hilarious. Of course I did all the necessary prep like exfoliation etc. but it was just bad. I'm glad I cancelled as soon as I left. The girls were great though, it's just a terrible booth for a 50$ spray tan/membership. I wish Utah had a SunTan city. :( read more

Worst customer service i have ever experienced, I will NEVER go back. The girls were extremely rude and pushy. They started my session without even telling me so I wasn't able to get my full tan, all because I wouldn't sign up for a membership or buy the extra lotion. They will not let you leave without trying all they can to nickel and dime you or making you feel absolutely terrible for not getting a membership. They are VERY dishonest, rude, and I left really stressed, offended and honestly pissed off. I've been to the location so many times and never had a problem until today. Both of the girls were rude and seemed annoyed to help anyone. I told them I wanted to do diamond and they assigned me a room. While in the bed I found out that all the facial bulbs were out. I get that they have no control over that but when I got out of the room, I asked the two girls if the facial bulbs were out and they said they already knew. I understand that happens, it wouldve just been nice to know before hand that the bed I was going in had bulbs that were out. read more

I recently moved back to Orem and got another membership here. A few things have changed including the spray tan. This was extremely disappointing. Their new machine sprays only the front and back of you. It looks awful. My sides are white along with my inner thighs. Its just awful. I'm so glad its winter and I could wear long sleeves so people couldn't see the white lines running down my arms and legs! Seriously, I would not spray tan at this location. I'll try and find out if the other spray machines are available at another location and update this to let you know. Everything else is good though. I read other reviews that mentioned they were very pushy selling products. I did not have this problem. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! I can't say anything good about it. Spray tans come out splotchy and machines are always broken and misfunctioning. I tried to get a refund for the terrible service and they won't give me a refund. The customer service is the absolute worst. I talked to several managers one being Sarah. She was suppose to give me a call back and never did. I had to call her and all she said was there is nothing I can do to get my money back. If I could place -5 stars I would. I usually go to palm beach, and I will stay a palm beach-goer after my DEHUMANIZING experience at BEACHES. When you go tanning, it's to feel like $1M, but upon entering BEACHES I immediately felt less than worthless; I was interrogated with snotty-toned questions such as: why are you here? why do you go to palm beach? (um i don't know, because they treat me like a human being and not a stack of cash), why would you just do a single tan it's so pointless, why don't you just buy the membership, why don't you just buy it and freeze the membership, we just like don't understand why you would want a single tan, etc. I was so interrogated to the point where I felt like if I didn't buy the membership I was not allowed to be there. I have never had a problem with customer service until now and I am extremely upset with how my experience went. What was even more INFURIATING was that NONE of the employees saw any issues, in fact, they even joined in on this execution. This was SICKENING. These workers need a REAL presentation on making sales with compassion and consideration, not to mention when to back off after the 10th NO to purchasing a membership. I am surprised that these girls even make sales by the way they promote products and deals. Either hire individuals who recognize that the world doesn't revolve around them or relocate/shut down. I honestly am really sad that the employees at beaches really don't give a rats ass if they left a customer feeling like trash. First and last time ever coming here. The girls that work here are pushy and rude. The spray tan you get is not worth it in the slightest. The girls sit there and talk and I understand that it's a self tanning booth rather than them spraying you, but they should explain things more than just telling you to go into the room and figure it out. I've been going to this tanning center for several years now, today I went in to buy the pass that I normally purchase., the girl LIED to me and said that pass was not available that it went up in price, I knew she was trying to up sale me so I asked to see the pamphlet and sure enough the pass I usually get was still available for the same price! I love beaches tanning beds! I like to stop in maybe every 3 months or so. The only thing that I hate about beaches is how hardcore they are when it comes to getting a pass or membership. I can't stand it! They have a hard time taking no for an answer. I know it would end up saving me like $30 after 10 tans, but I just cannot find myself to spend $150 on 10 tans all in one transaction as a young married college student. This was where I'd usually go tanning when I lived in Orem. I went in this past weekend and it was the same experience that it was a year ago. Great beds that are very clean, friendly and helpful staff, and they have good prices comparatively speaking. There's always some kind of special, and if you sign up for emails, you'll probably get two a month or so, and they always tell you about specials that are often not advertised in the store. The only thing that is irritating here is, as most tanning salons, they are super pushy about buying their lotions and the memberships. There is also usually a wait, which makes sense because it is right next to Vasa and across the street from the main bus station in the area, so easily accessible for all the students who don't have cars. read more

I purchased a trial pass from Groupon: first off, the pass was misleading. It said 7 days "all access" so I assumed that meant all access. According to the girl at the counter, it meant I get 1 session in a diamond level bed, 1 session in a gold bed, etc.. While explaining this to me, the girl at the counter was rather rude and actually laughed at me when I told her I would burn if I did a certain time/bed. When I did settle on a different bed, she didn't inform me that the bulbs had just been changed (I overheard a different employee telling a customer this on my way out), so instead of decreasing my time by a minute or two, I did my normal time and got a little burned. All in all, the beds are good, but due to the rudeness and incompetence, I won't be a returning customer. I recommend Golden Tan, they have nicer beds and super sweet, knowledgeable staff. read more
