I have been a member here for months. I've spent so much money on lotion which gives the workers commission on everything I buy there. When there is 3 people working it is organized terribly, they do not give the same experience to current members as to people they are trying to get money from for new memberships. I waited 20 minutes in line with no greeting or check up on when I was going to be helped as they proceeded to sign up groups of people at a time in front of me. They did not check in any current members to get people into beds which were completely open while everyone stood there and waited. This customer service is very poor and needs to be fixed. I do not recommend coming here unless you want to wait 20 minutes just to be checked in for a bed! read more

I just wanted to share something about my experience. I bought a 7-day Groupon pass and went in to use it on what I thought was my last valid day. The girl helping me had long blonde hair and freckles, and she told me my pass had expired that morning. She pushed me pretty hard to buy a membership and said I could freeze it. I could be wrong, but from what I saw, I should have still been able to use that last day. It really felt like I was told I couldn't just so I'd sign up for a membership. Only good if you have the most expensive membership. I've been going here for years now, and it seems like I only get great quality if I'm spending the most money. I downgraded to the gold membership and the bed that comes with it is HORRIBLE, I always feel like I'm in a final destination movie when I'm in there. I stopped going to this location because of it. Like seriously?? All the money I know they make here, and they can't afford to put in a GOOD quality tanning bed for gold members??? I've complained multiple times about this bed and they have yet to get a new one. It's been like this for years. There's cracks in the glass, the bulbs always look like they're going to pop or explode, it's dirty and gross in there, and it overheats ALL the time. Not to mention this bed is ANCIENT, there's no speaker in it and it still has a headphone jack??? Really??? Y'all can do better I know you have the money for a better bed than this. First time to a tanning salon and it's hit or miss with the assistance you'll get. Everyone is always super nice, but I didn't get much help the first visit or really any explanation of what to do/how to use the beds. I felt lost until Jade helped me out! She explained the benefits of the products and helped me pick what was best for me rather than just sell me something pricey. I don't mind the wait, but they do need more chairs since it's so busy! read more

The customer service here is incredible! I do not get tans (beds or sprays) but needed a spray for a special trip. I had a million questions and felt so dumb asking. Elyssa was such a delight and answered all my beginner questions and was so sweet!! Customer service was phenomenal! I got a spray in the Versa. Super easy to use and results were awesome. I love this place so much that I got a membership. Thanks Elyssa and Beaches! You make me so much more confident in my bathing suit. read more

Aviod the spray tan here! You only get the front and back sprayed so your sides are really white. Basically you will have really long white streaks down your body. I spoke to one of the employees and showed her my white streaks running down the sides of my body. She first asked me if I came at night. I'm not sure why that would matter but it was almost noon when I had gone in. She then said that the other Beaches had a different spray tan. I dont remember the name, I think it started with a V. And said that people like that one much better. Just avoid the embarrassment. Do NOT go to this Beaches for a spray tan unless you really like that skunk look. read more

Honestly pretty upset with my visit at beaches tonight. Management decided it was a great to leave two new girls to operate everything on their own on a Saturday night. I wanted to do 3 things tonight; the red light, bed tanning, and the mystic spray tan. First I asked about a spray tan package and the girl had no idea what I was talking about and said she'd call a manager and ask while I do the red light which I had no problem with! I understand being new to a job. I go to the red light, undress, and it won't start up. I get dressed and go back out to let them know it's not turning on. I go back in and finish my red light. I get dressed and go back out and asked if they figured out which package it was. They had! They charged me with my beaches credit and set me up to go in the bed. I asked for 8 minutes. I went in, got undress, and my bed won't start. I get dressed AGAIN to tell them this and then she says to try again and next time it happens to just yell that way I won't have to get dressed again (hopefully it doesn't happen another time though???). I go back in, get undressed, and start my tanning bed session. When I opened my eyes I was at 11:30 which is TOO MUCH for a pale, freckled girl like myself!!! I was FRIED. I got out immediately. When I returned to the lobby a big Polynesian man said his bed session ended early at 8 minutes (she switched our time) and all she said was "weird!!". Then the girls informed me that the mystic actually wasn't working and that I'd have to do the versa instead so they charged my account again and said they'd start a return process on my charges for the mystic but with how incompetent they were I'm not even sure I got the refund. Very disappointed with how this location is being ran. The only employee that is consistently great is a guy that works there and usually rocks a man bun! But everything else about this tanning center needs drastic improvement. read more
